Hi! I have this router but I need a power supply. Can you please help on how to choose one? I have a charger that has output 12V, 2A and input 0,65A max. I only care for the output of the charger right? Will this charger work?
Hi, welcome to my channel and thanks for the comment. This is an entry level router that will provide between 600-800 square feet of reliable coverage.
I'd recommend using a laptop or desktop computer to set it up, if you have one. However, it is technically possible to use a mobile phone/tablet as well.
Thanks for your comment. With this router, I consistently experienced 867Mbps with my laptop connected wirelessly. My internet connection is 50Mbps down/10Mbps up, which I got with no problem.
Techin' IT Reel I’m sorry to say I had to return the router. The Wi-Fi quit working. I came home from work and noticed that my Wi-Fi was not working, not showing up on my iPhone 7. When I went to check the router, the green light was out. I tried rebooting and doing a factory reset of the router and still could not get the Wi-Fi working. The ethernet worked but no Wi-Fi. Also noticed that the underneath of the router was extremely warm almost hot to the touch. Anyway I decided to go with a Netgear Nighthawk AC1900 and I’m very pleased with it so far.
When trying to use the Linksys setup app or the online website both tell me i cannot connect to the router even if im hardwired in through my PC. I already have a modem and working internet but i got this to replace my old router and it doesnt seem to recognize my internet. I am using my PC rn through hardwiring into my modem. I followed your video and the instruction manual but nothing seems to be working.
I'm having trouble viewing youtube when connected to the router any help????

I just purchased this same Wi-Fi router. What kind of wireless speeds did you get with this router, just wondering. Thanks!

What about the IP address
The default IP address is 192.168.1.1. If you want to connect to the router using the default IP address, the url would be 192.168.1.1
