The performers of this location are currently on strike and fighting for their rights to be treated fairly. They’ve been on strike for 10 weeks now. I definitely support them!
Ty! So Kiely is my friend and in the previous video Taylor is my sister in law (my brother’s wife and in my Ny vlog from last year Yosani is my sister in law as well, my husband’s sister) in case you are wondering who is who haha. Altho Kiely is basically family so I may have referred to her as being like my little sister in other videos. 😂
Giiirrl...one of my most important childhood memories was at MT! We went for my birthday and the green knight was our champion. He threw flowers into the crowd and in my mind, we locked eyes, he kissed the flower and threw it right toward me! I caught it!! I've never been the same since 🥰💚
Because I'm a fantasy nonsense nerd I probably enjoyed the Medieval Times vlog more (and I love how the knights were just doing random rolls) but the try-on haul was also nice!! Very neat clothes
The random roll’s definitely sent me. Lol. Especially when the black and white got hit but didn’t react, ran for a pace then randomly fell to the ground 😂
If it’s not too far for you, try to go to the Excalibur Hotel in Vegas for the Tournament of Kings show during Christmas season (November-December). It is similar to what you saw at Medieval Times but more so. The costumes are incredible (lots of green velvet for the women), Red Father Christmas for Merlin, and lots of snow falling in the arena. It is magical and gorgeous. Also lots of interaction with the audience.
I used to go to medieval times all the time when I was a kid. we went to the beach in sc every summer and there is one there! this was super nostalgic for me 🥺. the back and forth 'wooping' and the friend roasting for 'simping' had me nearly in tears laughing. I know vlogs aren't your thing but I really enjoyed watching!! thanks for sharing this wholesome experience lol
OMG I remember going to medieval times as a kid. Our night seemed to win and I caught a carnation from him, but then he was suddenly betrayed and we were so sad about it!!!
Thanks for the memories, of going to Medieval Times in SC years ago with the fam and of Cable Guy, which coincidentally came out shortly before we went. Down down down, blue knight’s going down!!
Loved the vlog, especially watching the horses. They did brilliantly. I'm not expert but every now and then we'll get asked to "adjust" the behaviour of a difficult horse. They're just so amazing and when you have their trust it's magickal 😍 Loved what you sourced. With that mustard dress the zipper has been sewn in crooked therefore the teeth don't line up properly and that's when it'll pop open. What I do to prevent this from happening is sew in hooks and eyes behind the zip, just a few, and that'll reinforce it. Easier than redoing the whole thing 😊 xx
That’s a good idea! I had issues with the zipper before when I tried it on I store, and it isn’t even too tight so I was wondering why it was having issues. I chalked it up to being a cheap zipper lol.
So admiring of your medieval adventures! I have medieval attire in our costume shop but have not partaken in dressing for a fair. If only I were 20 years younger! 😂
I’m of the opinion that at any age you can dress how you want but that’s just me 😌 it might be fun to just dress up with friends for a little party before venturing in public haha.
I went there in middle school! So much fun, I especially loved the shopping area before, all of the whimsy! Good to see not much has changed lol. Loved the red dress and the madewell dress at the end, and those earrings!
Loved the vlog! I hope I can go to medieval times one day, it seems like fun, and I'd definitely be cheering and gushing with my friends just like you both were lol. Thanks for sharing the experience with us!! Also sooo jealous of all the fantasy/knightcore style clothes you always find. I need to travel a bit father to some better thrift stores 🥲 guess I'll make a trip out of that!
Hehe it is def fun if you like corny/campy stuff. Which I do, especially over drinks. I feel like with a group or a really fun friend it’s hysterical 😂😂 (and the knights aren’t too bad to to look at 😉) Yeah and for finding cool stuff when thrifting I always say travel around, go at different times/days. The more you explore the more your chances of finding cool stuff.
MY DUDE I am living for this content All in all, how was your experience with Medieval Times? It's on my bucket list and as someone who also has fairly severe anxiety, I'm curious how your comfort level was being there! x
I loved it. I totally feel the severe anxiety thing. It was a lot of sensory stimulation tbh but I did ok but I can see others getting overwhelmed. In the lobby before the show it got a little crowded and noisy then inside the arena the light was a little intense and smelled like horses. Was also loud. But I think if you plan ahead of time you might be ok. I had gotten really anxious right before we went because one of my triggers is temperature and I got a major hot flash while getting ready but I was able to cool down and do some breathing which helped. It also helped I had someone who understands my anxiety with me whom I’m comfortable with. So definitely go with people you feel safe with.
I liked both parts of the video, medieval times and the haul :)❤ Also, I chose purple velvet for my bridesmaids dresses for my wedding in April! I thought you’d think that’s cool as a fellow velvet lover 🤍
Ok I’m from the UK so this isn’t a thing here and I’m not familiar with the company but….The way the horses were treated here made me uncomfortable. I worked with horses for years and the tiny stable with everyone looking in? Seems cruel and stressful for the horse, as does the flashing lights and all the noise. Honestly, whole thing seems very dodgy to me. Doubt the RSPCA would let that fly here
From what I've researched and got the opportunity to talk to the horse handlers, they have outdoor paddocks that they get to run around in, and they own a ranch so the horses are in rotation, half of them are at the castle the other half is at the ranch. I can't remember the age they retire (12? Don't quote me on that), so the horses that retire go back to the ranch to run around, eat and enjoy their well deserved retirement
Thank you for addressing this because I was a little concerned when I saw the above comment. I had kinda wondered in the back of my mind but I was like “the show is so short and the people only have access to the stall with the glass window for a super short period” I was hoping they weren’t too stressed out. Also there was a staff member walking around making sure no one tapped on the glass. The glass is also higher up than most kids can reach so they couldn’t tap on it. I’m glad to hear they get to retire and enjoy their lives and they are in rotation so not over worked. They seemed like good horsies and the handlers that I saw before the show and during seemed very loving. I also read that the California Medieval Times performers all unionized in 2022 to ensure fair labor practices.
Haha as a corny connoisseur, I absolutely loved it 😂 my favorite part was when our stinking knight got “hit” but seemingly forgot his queue and had a delayed reaction and then threw himself to the ground (it was when I was like “what was that??”) peak camp

I couldn't really see the knight well in the video but it's hard to resist a longhaired bad boy haha.
I loved both parts of this video in equal amounts 😊
🥰
As an equestrian, I am so proud of the horsies 💚
They were so cute and so talented 🥹 my inner 10 year old horse girlie was loving it 🥰
I fully enjoyed both parts! Your friend (or sister in law, I can’t remember) is so sweet!
Ty!

@@DressMeUpScotty I’m glad I’m not going completely bonkers and that your sister in law was recently on a video.
Love everything
The hair clip moment... *Chef kiss
My fav part haha
I really want a sword🗡️ Beautiful horses at Medieval Times🐎You guys are adorable btw😊
🥰🥰
Thanks!

Fun video it was fun to see you at medieval times
The red and yellow knight and the red and black knight really sold the fighting match!!! 🫣 totally taking my kid when he’s old enough!!
Oh yes their fight was so good! They put their all into it!

Liked both types of content! ❤️✨🙋🏻♀️🇺🇲
I like everything you did! I enjoy vlogs. I enjoy your thrift halls. 😂
🥰♥️
I loved both portions of the video 😌🫶
🥰
As a European, the fake medieval castle surrounded by palm trees really cracked me up 😭 also, imagine being the queen at Medieval Times, so fancy
You and your friend look like you have a lot of fun together. I've never been to a joust and I'd like to some day.
Love the haul best.
Fuuuun! Also the sweatshirt would work great for a casual Link cosplay! Great vid! ❤
Ooo yess!!
Yes! I have been binge watching your videos all week and I finished them all yesterday so I was sad. Super excited to see a new video today.
Also yay for 8k!!! That’s amazing 🎉
Yayyy!! 🥰

Omg yay you caught a flower! Hehe.
Not gonna lie, I watched this epsiode and instantly started researching Medieval Times 😅

When i find stuff that i like, and i think they are to pricey, i always ask
If they are open to negotiations and most the time they say yes.

PS: can't stop seeing your husbands resemblance to Kronk since your last short hahaha
🥰🥰🥰
Re:PS - it’s the chin and his sweet big boi demeanor 😂 we stan Kronk. Also our cat is named Kronk so it’s perfect 😂😂
That and the expressive eyebrows I would say!
Damn I wish events like this happened in my country (or my area) it looks so fun
Medieval times is for kids 😂 I thought you were supposed to drink there 🍺 So awesome you got a chance to go there.
Lol there was plenty of vodka in my slushie so I was feeling pretty good 😆
Omg I just found you and I'm obsessed, what you do is EXACTLY the kind of content that I want to see thank you!! :)
Aww thank you!! 🥰🥰

I was so tempted to get a fairy. They were so cool!
Wow I never find this stuff at the thrift so good!!
So much laceup! And yeah they had some good stuff! I always love that Salvation Army too. I got a poet blouse from there once.
Loved the whole video!! Especially the vlog portion
Yay glad you liked it 🥰
great video scotty

Watching you has been bad for my budget. After i always end up in a thrift store looking for more ren faire costume clothes.
Medieval times the company is sueing their employee union
Yeah I heard about that ☹️ I started following the their Union on tiktok.
✨🍄✨
🥰♥️✨
The horses...
🥰🥰 I loved them so much.
Psssst, you didn't get chicken. Those were baby dragons, it says so on the menu.
Love your clothing finds! Did not love the horse exploitation. Ask Poppy if she agrees...
