WWE Crush Hour is a vehicular combat video game published by THQ and released in 2003 for the Nintendo GameCube and PlayStation 2. An Xbox version was planned but canceled.

crush hour while it does have its issues is a solid fun game that added wrestling flavor to twisted metal gameplay. it honestly was awesome

I wouldn't mind a remake of Crush Hour with today's roster.
It would probably be a mobile game, instead of being on consoles.
I think it would be cool. Especially with the lack of car combat games in the current market.

As a Twisted Metal fan at the time I was stoked opening up a bargain box including Crush Hour for the gamecube on Christmas...... But uhh I hadnt heard about it until I opened it. And I didn't ... like it.
But I still have it somewhere I think.

I remember when I first bought this game. It wouldn't load. There's no way it could hold a candle to Twisted Metal. It hasn't aged well either. You have to love the irony of the opening narration when you look at wrestling now.
Crush Hour gets a Yay from me. I was surprised when this came out but it was unique and fun. I played a ton of it and unlocked everyone. I also liked that when you finished the season with a character, they would get a belt on their character, varying from the World Heavyweight, Undisputed, or the Women's. This game was released at a good time, between Shut your Mouth and Here comes the Pain. Good memories of this forgotten game.
The chest codes to unlock everything definitely works on the ps2. Tons of great wrestlers to unlock.

It was an Underrated Gem, with plenty to do. The repetitiveness can be an issue. The game has a tendency to drag on at times. There has been long, quiet, dry moments where nothing was happening. This is probably due to the game not having much music playing during matches. But something about this game gives me a nostalgic feel to it, that's a treat to play. It's satisfying to crash into your enemy, and finally blow up an opponent with your special. Albeit, the collision detection seems a bit janky. Stone Cold can't run over cars with his monster truck defeats the purpose of having a monster truck. This game combined two of my favorite things in one. Vehicular Car Combat and Pro Wrestling. I definitely would recommend it. Get 3 other friends, and the 4 of you can just sit back with some snacks and go to town for an hour or so. It's good for short bursts of plays.

Can’t put into words how much I love your vids man!! Brings me back to the exact moments when I was playing all these wrestling games on my ps2, Xbox & GameCube. The only reason I got an Xbox & GameCube was to be able to play their exclusive wwf & wwe games lol (well except for GameCube, I already had that for Sonic adventure 2 & Mario Kart Double Dash)

Main thing I remember about this game was the commentary getting old real quick! Fun game though, had its own goofy charm.

Oh hell no this game... When I was younger my aunt was visiting from Puerto Rico and she asked me what kind of game I wanted & I said a wrestling game.. she came and gave me this.. yo the sadness and anger along with wtf on my face.. I hated this game lmao
So glad to finally see this review, it was worth the wait!! As for my feelings on this: I played it a ton as a kid and honestly still really like it as it's just crazy wacky fun, I even unlocked everything in the game via season mode which took a long time, but thankfully some characters only require you to beat certain events (mainly Survivor Series). You can also unlock a Destruction Derby mode if you win a match without firing any weapons, easiest way to do this is to do a 1 on 1 match in Ironman and get a single ram kill then just run away until the timer runs out.
But yeah as a whole this game was a lot of fun both then and now, although it doesn't have as much lasting power as it used to for me.
I remember playing this on my ps2 back in the day damn. Memories right here. And it held its own against twisted metal like it was better than any of the other games that tried to compete with/copy twisted metal
Looking well man! You've really upped your editing game as of late. It was always good but from the time I've been watching you the quality is constantly evolving. Well done! Crush Hour isn't and amazing game but, it's a very fun game and I love the details to the vehicles! Let's just forget about how Jeff Hardy has gone victory road 2011 mode in the vehicle selection screen... For what this game is, its damn fun they didn't have to give us this game but they did. 💓

Regal’s car was definitely one of my favs. I wish I could have seen all of the hidden vehicles, it’s a shame they make it so hard to unlock everything.

I remember that I always wanted to play Crush Hour when it was released but never got the chance, because when I always wanted to rented it but was always checked out or someone always replaced the game with Backyard Wrestling:Dont try this at home on the ps2, now I dont want to name were I rented my games at for fear they would go out of business..... Okay it was Blockbuster. Now I feel great that I didn't missed anything, great review 👍

@@NikateeN It even had David Jaffe directing it. Ya might not've heard of it for the sake of it being a flop like 10 years ago when the genre was already dead at a time before Twisted Metal on the ps4's revival.

I heard somebody best describe it as just a silly type of game that doesn't really exist anymore, when games would hop onto any trend a regardless of brand or previous gameplay style.

I remember seeing this on a manual of one of the WWE games I had... I think it was Shut your mouth? My kid mind thought the concept was cool, but having played all 4 of the original TM games and at the time new, TM Black, I can assume I was pretty burnt out with the genre so I never picked it up. Its kinda a shame unfortunately because I have a feeling I would have loved it, as to this day I still get a kick out of the Twisted Metal series
WWE crush hour suited the budget price. £19.99 in the uk and i bought it due to loving twisted metal. It sure had some strange play modes.

The only thing that could have saved this game would be if Billy and Chuck's cars were made to look like the Duo Mobile from the Ambiguously Gay Duo.
I wish WWE stopplay they should make more games out in one year instead of once a year some of these games back in time can be renewed and remastered most of them can why not make part two of these things you know I know everybody miss super Nintendo and GameCube wrestling everybody had a turn to play different types why can't be like that now WWE remaster redo these wrestling games from the pass all you would need is give people jobs to redo some of the wrestling games that used to be fun to play I would vote for remastered redo give them a job and people who wrestling do them just make it look like before except for when the vehicle breaks they should get out the vehicle and start street fighting like def jams from PS2
