Why yes, it was helpful. Thank you, Jay. Hope there will be some more animation guides in the future, because that is definitely my weak point when it comes to daz.

For animation your frame rate needs to be at 24 FPS and animate on 1s, when you start doing 30 FPS then you will end up rendering way more then you need. 30+ is best for games and movies with people not animation. Most video games render at 60+ plus but when they render they are using many many tricks to fool you into thinking this is that and that is this.

ok, so somewhat new to daz. Where is a tutorial or HOW do you lock a figure in a position for animation? Example, say you had a animated figure walking. I want to move her up in the Y axis and keep her there. At key one i move her up (tried locking) and when i hit play she moves back to the ground. Tried doing key at frame 1 and end frame. Still moves down???? Help please.

Hi Jon, I can relate to such a pitfall. Take a look at all keyframes in the Y Transform section of the figure. I have a feeling other keyframes undo what you've set on the first, so you need to delete all other Y translation keyframes from your animation. Could be on the figure's top node, or the hip node.
