You forgot to mention about the key orginizer strap inside one of the Small pockets near the chest area. Love that touch & the attention to details. I also have the Carlsbad jacket & pants. Since i ride in arctic climates in Scandinavia i prefer Badlands Pro in the spring & late autumn then Carlsbad in summer & warm days. Note! I did not purchase Badlands Pro pants. Minor gripe: The zipper that join pants & jacket are reversed on the Carlsbad. Neeed a tailor here since the dealer gave Me a extra zip. Great gear.
I have the 2022 jacket and would love to buy the pants. But its just not possible here in Germany/Europe. Why. We love to buy expensive stuff, Klim should to a tour to Germany of central europe. Ppl buy shit quality here for the same price. There is basically only Dainese who can compete with the Klim quality. cmon klim. do something.
To me it's the laminated gore-tex that is the differentiator. When I was touring through rain with a gore-tex membrane I was kept dry but the outer shell was soaked, and a bit heavier. If you're heading off the next morning it might not have dried all the way out yet. So I'm hoping something like the Badlands would dry off quicker.
If water is not beading off the surface, KLIM recommends a treatment, named on their website, I forgot the name, so material won’t absorb water. Goretex should still keep you dry. About to have my first experience with this suit on 3 week ride in Southern Africa.
I said the same thing in the past. Just got my 1st suit like this. It’s heavy duty, lots of pockets & features including water proof. It looks & feels very functional, tough, safe & versatile. About to give it its 1st test.
