This is such a powerful scene! I love Andrew Scott. I love Nicholas Galitzine. The struggle to accept and embrace oneself when one is "different" is so fear driven. I knew that fear. That anxiety. In a few words, Nicholas is asking, "Why me? Why I am different?" Being "different" in a heteronormative world over time makes us stronger.

My goodness I love this movie!
This was never going to be an easy role, but it is one inhabited - not simply acted - with restraint, control and expression. And the rugby, the singing and the guitar help too. Unless someone already knew about multi talented young Galitzine, it must have been a casting nightmare! But having Andrew Scott in the mix helped as well.
