I've been listening this song for a really long time but I've just realised that, the title "Butterflies And Hurricanes" is a referance to "Chaos Theory(Butterfly Effect)" .Song's lyrics are about changing world and Chaos Theory says even a butterfly can cause very important things. So you can see that, Matt is trying to say us "No matter who you are, you can change everything, you can change the world." He gives us this inspiring idea with an amazing music and geniusly wrotten lyrics that uses an engrossing metaphor. This is why I love Muse.
It means that we are butterflies and we can create hurricanes, right?

What they mean by butterflies and hurricanes is that the flap of a butterflies wings, amazingly, (and this is a true fact, neil degrasse tyson wrote a book about it) can influence its surroundings so that halfway around the world, a hurricane forms. ANYTHING, no matter how small, can have a HUGE impact on the world, including you.

I always get goosebumps listening to this incredible song by Muse. Especially for that Need For Speed movie, which I'm not so sure about but hearing Michael Keaton describe Tobey Marshall driving the Chariot of the Gods then the scene of the Special Ford Mustang going airborne, wheels spinning and leaves drifting away from the tires, all while this Epic song from Muse is playing in the background does it for me.
I realize that the music stimulates a part of my brain called the hypothalasmus, which controls responses such as goosebumps. Any strong emotion can cause goosbumps but happiness is the best kind. Muse totally kicks ass.
