You are always having some brilliant bass tones, and I guess you don't create them in post production.
I can get good bass sounds with a Kemper and MBritt profiles... but actually this is to costly. :( All my other tries are not clear enough, muddy, noisy, ...
If you really want to have more beginners train the bass, could you make a video on a cheap but good bass tone setup (or some... pick, tapp, slap, ...)?
      I would really appreciate!

Why don't you talk more about the instruments you are playing? I'm not so interested in watching you be a virtuoso once again as I am in learning about the various instruments you choose to play. Am I the only one who feels this way?
Could you add some conversation about the instruments to your videos? For example, you recently played an electric bass with nylon strings, but didn't tell us how the heck nylon strings can work on an instrument that normally *requires* steel strings in order for the pickups to work. I really wanted to know and it was the MOST interesting thing about that bass - even more interesting than what it sounds like, or how incredibly well you can play it. I felt let down, to be honest. Your videos could be twice as good, and it wouldn't take much more effort from you.

You play bass how I always dreamed of playing. Like the little finger tapping notes that go in real quick, I always imagined doing that once I got good enough. I was also trying to work on having my right hand technique similar to yours. I picked up a different passion in life though so it's nice to see it realized!

Years ago, when I managed a guitar shop in Montreal, a client came in with a bass that had a stainless steel fretboard. It was a four string piccolo bass made by F Bass in Hamilton, ON. The bass also sported an original Leon Quand Badass bridge, the kind that were really thick and blocky that were meant to be countersunk into the body. I don't know whether it started its life with a stainless steel fretboard, or whether it was somehow converted.

@@CharlesBerthoud great playing. Would like to hear you play a bass with the frets using just intonation frets. Also do you play that Steve Bailey artificial harmonics technique. He was great on that old concert he did with Victor Wooten where he uses them sliding. Percy Jones is a master of those sliding harmonics also. Would like to see you do a video with a lot of sliding artificial harmonics. Maybe you already have one. Percy Jones mixes them into funky lines and Bailey uses them more melodically . Would also like to hear you do a duet with Remco
