    About Robin Quivers
    After graduating from the University of Maryland, Robin worked for the Air Force and as a registered nurse before discovering broadcasting.
    Today Robin is best known as the straight woman/news anchor of the groundbreaking and immensely popular Sirius XM radio program " The Howard Stern Show". As the Black female sidekick to the super provocative morning shock for over 30 years, Robin has held her own in a boys club of badasses to amass a legion of fans millions in numbers.
    Robin knew from the first time she met Howard that theirs was going to be an extraordinary partnership, as she accounts in her autobiography.
    In her 1995 autobiography "Quivers: A Life," Quivers revealed that she was a victim of parental abuse throughout her childhood. Quivers announced in May 2012 that she needed to have surgery to remove a tumor from her bladder. Shortly afterward, Robin continued to provide commentary for the show from her New York home via an ISDN line. Stern stated that Quivers was such an instrumental part of the show that he'd quit radio if he ever lost her as a partner.
    On September 9, 2013, Quivers discussed her health status, saying that her cancer had been cured after successful surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy. After seventeen months, Quivers returned to the studio on October 2,2013.
    At the 45th NAACP Image Awards in February 2014, Quivers won for Outstanding Literary Work-Instructional, for her book" The Vegucation of Robin: How Real Food Saved My Life."
