Stop buying joy cons, just send em all in to get repaired. or repair them yourself with new joysticks. Look at the upside, now you have a bunch of joy cons to use, all in different colors(or you can change the colors yourself).

Well a good amount of the original Switch announcement focused on how great the joycons were supposed to be. So if there is a serious defect and they’re ignoring it, they SHOULD be sued.
Maybe Nintendo made the joy cons like this on purpose because if somebody's joy cons get the drift then they will buy another pair of joy cons and this process will repeat, giving Nintendo more and more money.
Very unlikely cause that illegal and would damage nintendo's reputation and hurt future sales because people will think nintendo will not manufacture it properly.
@Chonkster joycon drift repairs are free btw. This is a very nice solution and I don’t see how it’s scummy. How about researching your facts before pushing out bold claims. 🙃
@Chonkster everyone makes mistakes. Especially big corporations. I think this is a very big step forward and a very nice solution. I have a light cause couldn’t get our hands on one cause they was sold out for a year straight and only had it for 5ish months and it’s auto drifting really bad so now we know the lite drifts to but what really sucks that you can’t replace the controllers on the lite
You can actually send the controllers to Nintendo and they’ll repair it for you for free. Just call their customer service number and just go on from there.
What's happening to me is even worse now multiple games that are used to be able to play are not able to be played anymore for some reason my joy-cons won't let me go up or down just left or right could you discuss how to fix this
What model? My OG DS (2004, not the lite) did that, still functions to this day. My DSi doesn't after doing the same thing, but repaired that issue awhile ago.
I experienced joy com drift after purchasing a second hand Nintendo, since I couldn’t afford a brand new one with my savings currently, the joy con drift problem has been minor so far but I don’t hope it becomes a bigger problem
1/3/23 Hello, can anyone answer my question. Ok it's a little bit confusing , here it goes. I know the red & blue controllers can be attached to the hand held small screen to use. What i want to know is this the game system comes with a black thing that reminds me of the old school controller. It's shaped like a wing to me . And the controllers (red & blue) can be attached to this also. Can the game be played while attached to this old school type of controllers or is the black thing only used to park the controllers while not in play use.
One thing, they were trying to get the damn Wii U failure out as soon as possible, they couldn't do long term tests on the controllers. The sheer quality of all the other consoles have been higher than any console that ever exists. They don't need to be 4k or super high tech to in order to be quality. Its like the N64 stick, it flops because that was the first analog stick. The new joy con stick is made differently, and more compact, than any other stick, so its not really the quality, its just joystick jitters I guess.
Yea Nintendo kinda messed up with the common problem of drifted jojcons. But that's why you should be gentle with your joycons. Let me tell you a story about someone that is so careless with his switch that his 3 joycons are SO DRIFTED!!! You can't even control them!!! He only has 1 that works well! Even his pro controller is drifted! He hits his controllers on the ground when he loses! Oh! And get this! When he puts his joycons back with console or the screen of the switch, he he grabs the joycons, and PUSHES THEM DOWN AS BARD AS HE CAN AND YOU CAN EVEN HEAR A STRONG NOISE WHEN HE DOES THAT! And me and my older brother tell him to be gentle with his switch but he doesn't even care! Thankyou for reading my story! If you are still reading this, thx and you're awesome!
Can't remember which console it was, but I used to try and move in a different direction and it wouldn't let me. The character just kept moving in the same direction. Is this drift?
I believe the GameCube controller had a similar problem put you were able to reset the control and c stick by pressing x y and start at the same time/ can the joycons do the same?
I wanted to log on fortnite yesterday but it kept saying login to your Nintendo account over and over again and whenever I did it just said the account has been suspended because of the violation of the Nintendo user agreement
Bro! 1:18 my joy on controller had Togo to game stop FOUR/4 different times because of the joycon drift 😭 and the right controller I have right now isn’t working properly with the plus/+ button not working! And you think that’s bad bro my LEFT CONTROLLER started drifting too!😥
I had that issue once as well! I even went in the Options and said Fix Drift issues but it only made it worse! I even said to myself, I remember N64 had to stay straight up were it is as you were turning on the console. And if tilted any reason while turning on N64, you had to deal with drift issue. So you had to turn it off and make sure the center stick was straight before turning it back on and Drift was no more. It got me thinking why this fix of leaving the joycon sticks straight as I turn on the console doesn't help. I ended up buying a new set once so far.
Also I had a similar experience, I got my switch December 2018 with smash and eevee, and a few days later we got odyssey. Fast foward to 2020 and I got animal crossing for my birthday. I hadn’t experienced any drift up until this point but me and my mom were playing it non stop which ended up in drift.
i dont know what his is but my nintendo joy cons are troubling me for quite a while i was playing asphalt 9 the other day and suddenly the car stopped taking my commands when i am telling it to go right it isnt going right but a few moments later it keeeps going right no matter what i do it doesnt stop going right then after a few moments it starts going left at first i thought it was a network problem so i played on offline mode and i faced the same problem then i thought the joy con must be out of battery but the battery showed it had full charge then i docked the switch alongside the joycon i played a few days later with my joy cons attached to the console and i did not face any problems but whenever i play on tv this problem happens i told my dad to buy me a new one. but he won't he thinks that i played too rough that the controller itself broke but thats not the issue there is a problem with the controller i can't send any signals properly it never happened before what do i do?
I have the switch lite and the buttons are so loose and I moved one joycon stuck to the left and there was a tear, my friend who uses her switch almost everyday and got it months before I got my lite, hers is in the condition of almost brand new.
Is there a way to at least fix it for a short time? My PS Vita has a similar issue but in that case it helps to just switch it off, turn the sticks a couple of times and then turn it on again, then the sticks will have reset and the problem doesn't occur for a while anymore. But the same doesn't seem to work with the Switch.
The part when he said about the joy-cons randomly inputting movement in the game is the exact same thing that happened with my first joy-cons, but not with the rest of my joy-cons.
I have JCD, at first it started ok, but recently it has gotten bad, like it drifts up so powerfully that I can get a down input, now my reason for my cons are drifting, dust, yes dust, so I clean out out, get a q-tip and rubbing alcohol, get in there and do your best, but that hasn’t worked anymore so by drift is beyond fixable from home, and I can’t send it to Nintendo, and I don’t wanna lay 50$ to get new ones, really we all know Nintendo won’t fix this, they’re gonna way you to buy new joy cons so they can profit of this defect. Thank you for coming to my Ted talk
GameStop is pretty reliable, I’m thinking of going to replace mine today . And they said I’ll get a credit for my drifting joy ins toward the new ones and I can replace the new ones if they drift. Seems legit. And they’re Nintendo licensed joycons . I hope this solves my problem

It could sense 3D movement yes, but the damn thing drifted (though it goes away after a while after use). Switch joycon sticks are pretty similar to Vita sticks, but they had no problems.
Just a theory
@@guestc142 my joycons never drift they just sometimes are loud

I bough my switch a week after it came out, and I’ve gone through 9 pairs of joy one because of the drift, and now I’m buying third party joy cons that work better than the original...
Stop buying joy cons, just send em all in to get repaired. or repair them yourself with new joysticks. Look at the upside, now you have a bunch of joy cons to use, all in different colors(or you can change the colors yourself).
If I were you I would just get a pro controller, idk why but I have had mine for a year and they never drift, they don’t have some part in the controller that allows it to drift, definitely would recommend buying a pro controller
Two words: Pro Controller
To everyone who says yo just get a pro controller, they drift too. They might drift less, but they drift
@@VibesOfChaos no they dont
Yes this might be off topic,
But my buttons, and everything on my controlers are delayed, and when i press the ZR and/or ZL button, it would either not work for like a minute, or just keep holding the button on its own (experienced both in Splatoon 2)
What do i do?
Eh, probably just another profit scam, Joy-Cons drift, parent buys more Joy-Cons, rinse and repeat
Cause Nintendo loves money and not people having fun. I don't get it that Nintendo before "focused on fun" when clearly they are now focused on greed instead.
Or just replace the joystick
Are you dumb stupid or dumb
@@official.SeanUnits Your an idiot they don’t love money they make a lot of games so people can have fun what is a cash grab is that most of the games are over 59 dollars but they don’t try to get money nor have joy con drift as a cash grab every thing has there flaws
@@T1A9TY bro, pricing for a *pair* of Joy-Cons was $49.99
Well a good amount of the original Switch announcement focused on how great the joycons were supposed to be.
Plus the last time I had mine repaired was a year ago so it isn't that big of an issue anymore. I don't see how it is vile if they are offering solutions to their mistakes.

I have a light cause couldn’t get our hands on one cause they was sold out for a year straight and only had it for 5ish months and it’s auto drifting really bad so now we know the lite drifts to but what really sucks that you can’t replace the controllers on the lite
I had my mam fix mine but after a week they broke again and it was even worse so I have no choice but to only use my pro controller to play

You can actually send the controllers to Nintendo and they’ll repair it for you for free. Just call their customer service number and just go on from there.
What's happening to me is even worse now multiple games that are used to be able to play are not able to be played anymore for some reason my joy-cons won't let me go up or down just left or right could you discuss how to fix this
who still remember that you can toss your ds in water and it will still work
What model? My OG DS (2004, not the lite) did that, still functions to this day. My DSi doesn't after doing the same thing, but repaired that issue awhile ago.
Man my red joy cons drifted and my left blue joy con runs out of charge sometimes in less than an hour
I literally just bought a Nintendo Switch yesterday...
Good luck
You won't notice it until like a year
I bought a switch a couple of months ago. Hopefully mine will be one of the rare cases where it doesn't drift

I experienced joy com drift after purchasing a second hand Nintendo, since I couldn’t afford a brand new one with my savings currently, the joy con drift problem has been minor so far but I don’t hope it becomes a bigger problem
Both my joy cons drift, and I had to buy a pro controller, and now until they fix it I can't play multi-player games 😡😡😡😡😭😭😭
Leave it to Nintendo to cheap out on hardware quality.

Bruh The Gameboy could survive a BOMB and it was made in the 90's and the switch can't survive a 4ft drop *cough* *cough* 2017
MY PLAYSTATION HAS JOYCON DRIFT
LAWSUIT TIME 😂
Noice
This Woman is sueing nintendo for over 3 times the price of the switch lol
My switch got drift on both joy cons and instead of getting replacement I just got a custom pro controller which cant get drift
I’ve had my switch for 2 years and I haven’t had joy con drift yet
Lucky u, I hope u will have this luck forever cause having drifting is HORRIBLE I SAY it ruins everything

I have drift on ps4, too. How frustrating
Same
Can't remember which console it was, but I used to try and move in a different direction and it wouldn't let me. The character just kept moving in the same direction. Is this drift?
I believe the GameCube controller had a similar problem put you were able to reset the control and c stick by pressing x y and start at the same time/ can the joycons do the same?
hmmm it could..
Is it just me, or do Nintendo's products seem to be getting cheaper in quality but more expensive in prices?
I wanted to log on fortnite yesterday but it kept saying login to your Nintendo account over and over again and whenever I did it just said the account has been suspended because of the violation of the Nintendo user agreement
My joycons ruin my fun but I'm getting a pro controller for christmas!
Bro! 1:18 my joy on controller had Togo to game stop FOUR/4 different times because of the joycon drift 😭 and the right controller I have right now isn’t working properly with the plus/+ button not working! And you think that’s bad bro my LEFT CONTROLLER started drifting too!😥
What is that game on 0:36 called?
I had that issue once as well! I even went in the Options and said Fix Drift issues but it only made it worse! I even said to myself, I remember N64 had to stay straight up were it is as you were turning on the console. And if tilted any reason while turning on N64, you had to deal with drift issue. So you had to turn it off and make sure the center stick was straight before turning it back on and Drift was no more. It got me thinking why this fix of leaving the joycon sticks straight as I turn on the console doesn't help. I ended up buying a new set once so far.
Ain't nobody gonna talk about the controllers on the thumbnail
I have a set of controllers like that
Also I had a similar experience, I got my switch December 2018 with smash and eevee, and a few days later we got odyssey. Fast foward to 2020 and I got animal crossing for my birthday. I hadn’t experienced any drift up until this point but me and my mom were playing it non stop which ended up in drift.
i dont know what his is but my nintendo joy cons are troubling me for quite a while
i was playing asphalt 9 the other day and suddenly the car stopped taking my commands
when i am telling it to go right it isnt going right but a few moments later it keeeps going right no matter what i do it doesnt stop going right then after a few moments it starts going left
at first i thought it was a network problem so i played on offline mode and i faced the same problem then i thought the joy con must be out of battery but the battery showed it had full charge then i docked the switch alongside the joycon i played a few days later with my joy cons attached to the console and i did not face any problems but whenever i play on tv this problem happens i told my dad to buy me a new one.
but he won't he thinks that i played too rough that the controller itself broke but thats not the issue
there is a problem with the controller i can't send any signals properly it never happened before
what do i do?

Have you just tried updating the controllers
It happened to me so I just went to GameStop and never happened to me again
GameStop is pretty reliable, I’m thinking of going to replace mine today . And they said I’ll get a credit for my drifting joy ins toward the new ones and I can replace the new ones if they drift. Seems legit. And they’re Nintendo licensed joycons . I hope this solves my problem
