I like the chisel towards the end to get the hangers flush. Attention to details

My brother was a metal stud installer. Fucker never wanted to show me the trade. But I went my own way and retired at 50. Now I am taking a timber framing class. For the fuck of it. 🤣🥃
Love watching you boys doing such good work 🥃

I’d love to work for this guy. I’m getting told at least once a day “ we’re framing a house not building a piano”. Love the attention to detail. I like to take pride in my work. If im completing a task in my eyes it has my name on it and if that’s the case I want it done to the best of my ability. It’s frustrating sometimes the shit I see.

So are harnesses not a thing in residential? Serious question. I'm so used to having to wear one of I happen to sit too high in the shitter

I'm learning this trade in the union and not wearing a harness is a big no no, these guys aren't working that high off the ground but still it worries me. Just take the little bit of extra time and protect yourself

I live in Australia where half this stuff won’t fly. 😂 Health and safety and the union make sure that we’re as safe as we can be on the job.

Lol! Ain't that the truth! I got a little reprimand for standing backwards on the bottom step of a step ladder. And I'd always been so careful to obey the rules, no matter how silly they seemed.

where I work everything safety related only comes out when we've heard a supervisor is coming in. other than that people are walking walls, joists, having no hardhat, all the good shit.

Notching the joist for the hanger is that extra step that sets you apart from the rest! Drywall crew will be happy.

That’s Hitachi! now days there Montalbo You can see the green poking out of the black paint. You can also tell from the repercussion of the nail gun shooting fast. Dewalt are slow sound like Darth Vader breathing heavy after every shot!
