@@gurpleraven a lot of vegans unfortunately try to force their diet on their cats, causing severe illness and even death. Cats are carnivores and a lot of people don’t respect that.
@@Joemama-cb1vy I know, I'm just saying vegans don't need to be appreciated for not forcing their lifestyle onto their cats, as that's the expectation. Anything less is just cruel
I switched both of my cats to this diet a few months ago. They shed less, puke less, poop less, and their fur is the softest it's ever been. My obese cat (he was obese when I adopted him) is FINALLY losing weight. My other cat is also thriving on it. I also use Stella & Chewy's as a backup for when I have a cat sitter or not enough time to make this food. I can usually get about two weeks of food for two cats in one batch.
Alli Ex I had to slowly mix it in with their wet. It was so silly that after about a month or so I would put the thinnest layer of wet food over the raw to trick them into eating it. I finally stopped putting the canned food on top. They protested but after about 30 minutes they finally ate it. Now they eat it no problem.
@@HS-fw2ps maybe reduce the amount and see if there are any improvement. I just watched Dr. Becker on raw food.she said transition has to be slow over 3 to 6 months
This is the only "raw cat food tuitorial" that I find easy to follow and understand. To the point and educational. No person dancing and giving the story of their life so your watching for 45 min and they finally get to the point. Others I simply am confused!! Thanks for this; we follow this recipe for our 16 cats. Yep 16.
The following suggestion is for people who want an easy way to control portions (easy for them, or for a pet sitter, etc.) The typical ice cube tray is made of 1 oz sections. You can freeze the meat in ice cube trays, then put the frozen cubes into a plastic container where you can pull out the number of cube you need at a time.
***** Yes, bow before me you Slytherins...I kept his nose in a jar under my bed years ago...it was one of his Horcrux you know? Just wait for him to come back!!! 👻😹 Mmwahahahaha...!!! And he's sexy even though he's noseless don't you think?
Kudos for the video content! Sorry for chiming in, I would love your thoughts. Have you researched - Alivaay Fluff Talker (do a search on google)? It is an awesome exclusive guide for learning how to communicate with your cat minus the hard work. Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my friend Sam got cool results with it.
I just found this page two days ago after being frustrated after reading the labels of both canned food and kibble. The amount of fillers like corn, wheat, soybeans etc. etc.is hat astounding - not because I'm a food snob, but because I'm just trying to feed my five/six month old kitties something their bodies need. I'm also very frugal and I don't need to pay for a can of cat food that's filled with flour, corn, and rice, thank you very much. I went out and bought chicken thighs and about 2 lbs. (pounds) of giblets for a total of $6.50. I'm guessing it will last about two weeks. Two weeks of canned food would be about $15.00. They LOVE eating the raw chicken and giblets and gizzards and hearts and livers. I'm just about gagging as I grind them up in my food processor. (I don't use the bones), (and I have sworn off hotdogs forever, and possibly meat altogether after seeing this stuff in a blender!) but they love it and I swear, they are happier kitties. Is this possible??? They seem so content...I didn't think they were irrationally discontent before...but now they just seem happier in general. Especially the bitchy one who used to glare at me for no apparent reason. 😂
@@Kayenne54 Cats glare for no reason. Or a reason they made up in their own head. One cat glares, the other one is happy. Both are loved, fed well, and warm. Glaring is unjustified. Typical cat. A dog would never glare. A cat would.
I found that egg shell powder is the same nutritionally, or better than ground bone. Also it can make it easier to make raw cat food not having to worry about grinding up bones. :3
I just looked it up because i figured that was awesome and apparently it really is a great source of calcium (which cats will lack if their owners only feed them meat) however apparently not as complete as bone meal.
As a vet technician w/ more than 20 years experience, my only suggestion here is to please tell your veterinarian before starting a raw diet. Not so they can talk you out of it, but so they can put it in your cats record. It's helpful for us to know this B4 an exam. Thx.! ;)
Elle Plow Plow: well, processing raw food in a home setting runs a higher risk of bacterial contamination, especially chicken. So, if a cat is presented with GI complaints & I'm taking the history, knowing kitty is on a raw diet can be a clue. And, no offense, but owners can forget to mention the darndest things! Cheers! :)
In other words Elle, he suggests its safer to just feed your cat dry cereal for the rest of its life. In fact, same for you. Why risk cooking food and eating out, when you could just take SOILENT GREEN?? drink liquid out of a bag for the rest of your life. At least you know you wont get salmonella. John, I whipe my ass with your veterinary education. I doubt it even exists, but if it does, enjoy your framed piece of paper you brainwashed mainstream idiot. Think before you write.
If you look closely, you can see the baby´s coat. Talk about UBER healthy, that is one gorgeous kitty. I highly recommend this for all felines and dogs (similar but not quite recipe).
As a vegan. I would have to break up with you if you contaminated my vitamix! My significant other used my frying pan once. I felt so hurt and disrespected. But I would also feed a raw diet to my cats. Despite what some other vegans think about this. Cats are carnivores. Good for you for giving your cat what it needs. Please don't use your fiance's Vitamix! I am sure you are joking about this part. As I am sure you know some vegans have a sense of humor. But seriously, if he used my vitamix to process meat he would need to buy me a new Vitamix! That said. Not all vegans do it for the same reasons. For some it is only for dietary reasons. So maybe these vegans may not care about sharing their Vitamix. In my case it is for ethical and more importantly for religious reasons. So, in this case the contamination would mean something different.
Rebecca Hartman and if you felt hurt and disrespects from that, you should have done your fiance a favor and left him. He deserves better. I legitimately have vegetarian friends who are vegetarians by religion, and they have no problems eating from my pans, as long as what actually constitutes the food served actually had no meat inside.
@@Sam-ed3eb after I quit meat chicken and fish I find it repulsive.. The idea of handling body organs... Even before I went vegan it used to irritate me but I ate it because it's what I was raised to eat and consider normal.. I used to wear gloves every time I touched raw meat or chicken.. So going vegan was very easy.. The only challenge I had was cheese.. I was addicted..

I’m vegan too but I know my kitties are carnivores and I want the best for them! I would like to find something else to grind their food in other than the blender I make my smoothies in... cause that just makes my stomach turn. 🤢
Wow. Thank you so much. I'm struggling so hard with money and still trying to tend to my 5 family cats to make surer they are healthy. This at-home recipe is perfect for my kitty dealing with gum and tooth injury..
Same her, I just checked one of my cats teeth and they are horrible. Unfortunately I don't have a holistic vet, so they get all the vaccines and non natural medicines but, I figure that with feeding them raw/natural food it might help their health a bit. I haven't started with my cats yet, but it just seems/looks so much more complicated. I legit don't want to spend all this time making this for my cats, I just want to get some meat and cut it up and give it to them.
Pet food companies heat their foods to 500 degrees, which kills all the nutrition. Same as feeding our fur babies sawdust. It’s no wonder our pets are becoming so ill. Thank you Jasmine for your nutritious, healthy recipes! Going to the store now!
But im so afraid to give them raw food😭are you sure that raw food is ok for cats .idk why im afraid if we dont cook the food there is bactria thats not good for our cats😢
Our two outdoor cats catch and eat rodents and rabbits, basically each week during the warmer months. We have about 10 indoor cats who never get this chance and 2 outdoor. The 2 outdoor ones ONLY eat the organs and head, then discard the part humans would eat, if we had to eat these small animals. It has always confused us. However these 2 are the healthiest cats we have. This cat food recipe now makes total sense. BTW In the past, we were always bothered that they kill all these little creatures on our somewhat rural property, but it does give them exactly what they need.@@jeonjimin8707
Our local Publix stopped grinding meat for us. The manager told us that their policy doesn't allow them to grind chicken which was super frustrating. We go to a local butcher now which is expensive because they only use grass-fed, locally-sourced meat but my cat now eats better quality meat than me lol
I just found out yesterday my cat has cancer and I want to put her on a raw food diet! Thank you so much for this video!!! And your Q&As on your page are awesome!!
@@times461 thank you for asking.. unfortunately, she is no longer here.. She passed away maybe a couple of weeks after I posted that comment. She had a fast growing tumor that was near her jaw, and made it impossible for her to eat. I tried EVERYTHING to get her to eat, even syringe feeding..she would throw it up.. she was starving and I made the difficult choice to help her cross the rainbow bridge (surgery wasn't an option because of location.. she was suffering.. )
wausauness haha I know right! it's because they can't risk messing up their equipment, which is meant for grinding meat/soft tissue only... but you're right, it would make things a LOT easier. thanks for watching! :)
I’m deleting my text at the bottom that only says “cat lady fitness u” I must of made a mistake and left an unfinished text or somehow it was a phone error.
I just wanna say...My Ginger liked the raw food straight out of my grinder I bought. Thank God. I was prepared to wait months to make it work. Now I hope it helps her lose a few pounds. Love from Arizona.
😳😃 I didn’t know publix would grind the meat for me!!! I was buying all the ingredients and grinding it up with a big old grinder and making a mess and the whole situation just got so overwhelming that I couldn’t continue it. I was making it for 4 cats so did this in bulk. But this is so doable!! Thank you so much!! And yes, I’m a vegetarian so even my partner would say that she didn’t know how I could break down all the chicken and not be mortified but it’s not about me! And using the vitamin for the bones-BRILLIANT!! Thank you thank you thank you!
My cat was fed dry kibble, and so was my boyfriend's at the shelter. My cat will eat wet food but he'd only eat half and then go stick his head in the kibble bag. My boyfriend's cat once went a day without eating because we tried feeding him organic wet food. He got angry and attacked us later lol.
Lol yeah they're finicky little loves! Definitely requires transitioning and cutting out the dry food entirely. If you reintroduce it at all, even years later (especially if they grew up on it) your cat will devour it like a crackhead, seriously! But yeah cats are sensitive to any change - especially in food or structured routine - so a smooth transition in time always helps :) thanks for watching!
Flazé Da My cats the same way. On top of that, she's also allergic to some component in many cat food (I am pretty sure it's chicken), so it's hard to experiment with healthier brands and find one she likes.
Check your wet food ingredients for an additive called CARRAGEENAN... It caused my cat to have diarrhea. Once I switched to a canned food without it, my kitty is back to normal. But I still want to go back to homemade food.
Be very careful, cats can get fatty liver which is a fatal disease if they don't est within 24hrs. Please transition slowly. Remember dry food has addictive ingredients for a reason so you keep buying it.
I'm on my fifth cat. (first two didn't last a week on the busy street where I was raised,) and this new one (new to me but probably about 8 to 10 years old for a guess,) is THE MOST GENTLE wonderful cat you might ever imagine having. At the same time he is stealth out of doors easily the fastest of all of the cats and feared. He'll only eat the smallest ones, the rest he leaves for me unless I'm fast enough to save them. But, all in all, he is most considerate, gentle as a fine lover, buries his head as deep as he can in my hand, and I'm a very lucky boy !
I'm doing some planning myself on making this recipe, and thought I would share the calculations that I have done so far. The supplements (not including the filtered water) will run you under $2 per listed recipe. The supplements themselves will initially cost about $130 (this will be more or less depending on taxes/shipping) and will last you for years. Only one will last you just under a year. I have just gotten to pricing out the meat. I have a price for the chicken thighs which I have rounded for the tax in my area to be $8. I have yet to find the other meats in my search, but I hope that sharing the little I have calculated so far will help a few folks out... even though this comment is a year old.
I can already tell my cats will enjoy eating this from the start. They go crazy when I come back from the groceries and they smell raw chicken. I'm gonna save up money to get a new high end blender & the necessary ingredients to make them raw cat food.
You are a savior. I bought a Bengal two years ago as my first cat and I've been feeding him one can of wet food a day with dry food twice a day. I'm a little late to the party but I understand they need the wet food for a source of water. I'm going to do this because my kitty is getting fat from the dry food and I feel so bad because it's my fault. I think I'll try making just a quarter of this if I can so I can wean him off the food he eats now.
Hey we're all late to the party. Don't beat yourself up. Something not mentioned in the vid is that taurine doesn't remain stable for long when added, especially when frozen. But since cats can't overdose on it, be sure to add some right before feeding. Taurine is SUPER important for their heart health. Up until the 80's many cats were dying of heart failure until the pet industry figured this out. Oh and make sure you replicate hunting with play time around your feeding schedule. That will help your Bengal get back into shape and draw out his/her natural instincts. Good luck!
@@MClara-ep4sf lol Yeah it's difficult. Take your time and have patience. Starting with canned food maybe easier as opposed to making wet food you're not sure your cats will eat. My picky cats haven't rejected Wellness chicken entree. You may not get them to an 100% wet food diet, but some is better than none. Also, add stainless steel water fountains if you don't have already, to help with hydration. 🤗
Great video! I've been making food for my diabetic cat for about 10 years. Same recipe with a slight variation on the process as I use a grinder. He's 14 now and strong as an ox. Also resolved his struvite crystal problem. He was on the vet food for that when he became diabetic!
When I made this for my cats they smelled it and walked away one of them looked at me like WHO DO YOU THINK I AM SOME KIND OF WILD ANIMAL OR SOMETHING ? I'm going to keep trying
something she forgot to say in the video, cats dont like cold food... in nature they kill their prey and eat it instantly, so it's warm. you have to warm the food a bit, but not in the microwave, because the microwave ends up cooking it. it's better to store them in plastic bags, so when its time to feed your cat, you put the plastic bag in a bowl of warm water, then you serve.
I know you probably meant that it’s now easier for you to grind chicken bones for your pet’s food but the way you phrased it makes me think that you’re a cannibal
This is super helpful. I just spent 1600 at the vet because my cat had a blockage from crystals. I'm going to start transitioning him to this once I get through the grain free food I have. He does get very excited and almost jump on the counter whenever I am preparing raw chicken for myself. I definitely dont want to give him that crappy prescription diet and this seems like a more affordable option than buying cat food.
I’ve been feeding a stray cat a diet of tuna, salmon, sardines and chicken. After a month of feeding her, her fur became silky smooth. She feels like a rabbit’s foot. I knew raw was better but for a stray cat who never gets a bath or takes any meds for fleas or anything she skin and fur is in great condition. She eats better than I do!
I am a caretaker of a Mama cat & her 6 kittens. She is a fabulous hunter and has taught her babies to eat "raw". Yes their fur is very soft! I offer them egg, and some of the canned fishes. One of the kittens LOVES peas(from frozen). SO..I'm going to follow Mama's cue & start giving them fresh meat.Chicken livers, turkey legs. Etc.
I have a cat named Jasmine and now I have a lady named Jasmine is teach me how to make a proper raw diet cat food for her and her sister pumpkin spice this is too awesome and if I had been seeking out Jackson Galaxy videos I would have never stumbled across yours I'm grateful for you and him both
I love that our cats are going to be eating much healthier now raw. its almost criminal what they put in the normal cat foods! I also want to add; you can get omega 3 wild cought non gmo from amazon for 20 dollars or so. it has a dropper. I was getting the 13 dollar one but realized its cheaper to get the larger size8 oz instead of 3.5 oz for 14 basically.
also commenting on the pre-made raw food- in order to keep the food fresh they tend to put sulphates and other things in the food which is toxic in the long run to cats. so just go with this rather than the pre-made
Dear Cat Lady Fitness, Thank you for this awesome video. I have been using this recipe for my kitten and he is becoming healthier and happier each meal. He had gingivitis the 2nd month of bringing him home. That problem is now gone after feeding him the best. Sincerely, A Fellow Crazy Cat Lady Meow! 😻
Hi thanks for this, I have scrolled the comments but nobody asked the question "what bones did you use that blended that easily without breaking the blade?" Thank you!
Hi! Thanks for these “how tos” on raw cat food recipes! I recently switched my 2 cats over to this recipe and they love it! However, I’m new to raw food and I want to know how long I can store the raw cat food in my fridge for?
You can freeze portions in Ziploc bags, it will last for months. Just take it out and put it in a bowl of warm water and it will defrost in 15 minutes. Or you can take it out from the night before, put it in a bowl of water and put it in the fridge and it will slow defrost overnight and ready to go the following day.
3/15/2019 I thought what a great idea to feed my cat a healthier diet than from commercially produced cat food. I bought all the ingredients, bought the chicken, grounded meat, etc. Followed your procedure to the letter. Divided the portions into small containers and froze them. I started with one unfrozen portion and took a tiny bit of the food and mixed it with his regular wet food. I began the experiment in late January. My cat will not eat the mixed regular food and will just go hungry and eat only the dry food. The rejected food I put outside for the raccoon. Yesterday I took the unfrozen food out and put it out to the raccoon, even they would not eat it. In the meantime, I am cooking and eating the food myself.
This is what worries me, my dog will eat her own poop, so I'm not worried about giving her any type of cooked meat with veggies, she'll eat it. But cats are so damn picky, that's why I want to buy like 5 shrimp and 1/4 pound of salmon or something to feed my cats, I already do some much for my dog, doing all this for my cats is just way too much. I don't want to mix things or grind up food or bones, I just want to mix shit together and feed them that. That's probably really lazy but atleast I'm trying to feed them healthier options.
YESSSS ! LOVE YOU ! You are a smart lady who knows that cats are carnivore. I am absolutely sure that nowadays both cats and dogs die relatively young because of those awful "brown candies" they eat. This is how I call them, candies. I always had pets and I never fed them but healthy meat food. I have 2 now, and I only give them the same meat and supplements, without the bone powder because I don' t have such a powerful blender. Your cat must be very happy with such a dedicated mother.
Go to Cabella's and get a 3/4hp grinder because you need POWER to grind bones. I also make sausage, Italian with Hatch Chile is worth the price of the grinder all by itself!!! 😸
Great video! Thank you! I do have a question on the Vitamix blender. YT link is to a 5300 model blender, Puppyshow link is to a Pro Series 750 model. Would either of these models work or one over the other?
Lynyrd Puyat yesss! both are great and will work for bones. it also depends what you'd want to use it for otherwise, the size of the container you prefer, self cleaning mode, etc. you can Google "difference between Vitamix blenders" if you aren't sure. hope that helps and thanks for watching! 😻
I'd imagine you only have the energy and motivation to do this for your cat if he/she is not a dick. Luckily for me, my cat is essentially a loving dog and deserves this.
I'm vegan but my cat isn't so I'm prob gonna do this soon. He tore his acl and I can't stand seeing his health go downhill. Have any recommendations for his joints?
@@freshavacado7215 Raw meat contains fat and connective tissue, which, with the muscle protein, have rich nutrients which aid in cell development, growth and REPAIR. You'll see marked improvement in his injury. You'll be amazed. I was. Just like for humans on a 100% carnivore diet, so many health issues are resolved: eliminate type 2 diabetes, inflammation is reduced and/or eliminated, sleep improves, auto-immune issues reduce and/or stop. Blood chemistry labs return to normal, or better than normal. Blew me away.
I know this video has been out there for a while but I just saw it this week. I assembled the ingredients and got started and my 2 cats were hovering around my feet, with noses in the air, so curious about what they were smelling and what I was doing. I put down a couple of tablespoons on a plate to see if they would be interested. I sprinkled a little of their commercial pet food over it to “transition“ them. WOW! They devoured it and were fighting over the first plate. I quickly put down a second plate. They licked them both clean.
What would happen if the supplements were not in there (just insurance policy) ? If raw food is the ideal diet why is it still deficient ? What do wild cats eat that domestic cats miss, or can't get ?
I feed prey model raw, and don't supplement. Other than a fish oil capsule every week. For omega 3's that are lost in the meats from a grocery store unless you can afford grass fed (which is higher omega 3, along with wild animals which is why wild carnivores don't need a fish oil capsule)
Does that company send you all the food pre-arranged, or do you only use their advice as a template ? (I thought the diet prepared in this video was already above and beyond completeness and I am trying to figure out what it takes to make it complete without supplements)
The supplements are needed because real live food include intestines filled with half digested plant matter and also there would be a wider variety of different types meat.
Domestic cats are not wild cats. They have been bred away from their wild ancestors for THOUSANDS of years. They are not comparable in behavior, genetics, or NUTRITION.
It's weird for Dogs a cats because Dogs don't have the bones in when making a raw diet but for cats you have to have bones inside because it's natural for them to hunt and eat the meat and bones all together
Dogs can definitely have the bones in, they have to be uncooked and its best to supervise the eating of a raw food diet to make sure when eating bones no issues occur such as cutting mouths (which is unlikely unless you feed harder bigger bones where it is easier for them to splinter/crack them) its good for them in a raw diet and you have to have it in unless you supplement with calcium powder otherwise they lack calcium and it ends up being detrimental to their health. Dogs are canines and biologically and D.N.A-wise very close to wolves and they eat their prey whole as well :)
That Dude I feed four dogs raw diet. You need to feed them bones! But you don't need to grind them. Crunching them up is a awesome toothbrush alternative
Because cats are carnivores and dogs are omnivores Meaning cats get all of their calories from raw meat, and raw meat only And dogs get all of their calories from raw meat and vegetation
Micki Babe theyre actually both carnivores. Dogs are facultative carnivores, meaning they thrive on a meat based diet but have the ability to get some nutrition from plant sources, although it's not ideal for optimal health. Cats are obligate carnivores, meaning they can only survive on a meat based diet and plants are never an option.
Shopping, preparation, storage, and cleanup --- all combined, this would take up a good portion of a day. I love the idea of this, but unless this process is simplified I know I'll never do this. I have three cats and so the entire amounts would have to be multiplied by three and would need to be done on a weekly basis. That just ain't gonna happen.
DO NOT feed your cat raw food! Your cat is fundamentally different than their carnivorous ancestors you think they are similar to - down to differences in the structure of their DNA. They need fundamentally different diets. Cats evolved to eat the food that the humans gave them - scraps that were high in fat and carbohydrates. Consequently, they still need that now. Their bodies can not handle the bacteria in raw meat, especially not raw meat processed for HUMAN consumption. You wouldn’t eat raw meat or feed them to your baby, so DON’T feed them to your cat! See the peer-reviewed studies that this video mentions: ruclips.net/video/kNDj9SCBgGg/видео.html
Shelby Wise trust me, raw fed cats are thriving. All these studies are funded by people who run the business for selling shitty foods. If you look at those cans and containers of foods, you'll see bunch of ingredients and chemicals that our babies will be eating. Cats are not designed to eat chemicals or cooked food. You think they get cans and kibble in wild? My cousin's cat was raw fed since beginning and lived 20 years. Not surving, thriving!

I finally stopped putting the canned food on top. They protested but after about 30 minutes they finally ate it. Now they eat it no problem.
Juliet Jeske thank you!!
Though my cat is eating the raw food but is having slight diarrhoea, any suggestions ?
@@HS-fw2ps maybe reduce the amount and see if there are any improvement. I just watched Dr. Becker on raw food.she said transition has to be slow over 3 to 6 months
This is the only "raw cat food tuitorial" that I find easy to follow and understand. To the point and educational. No person dancing and giving the story of their life so your watching for 45 min and they finally get to the point. Others I simply am confused!! Thanks for this; we follow this recipe for our 16 cats. Yep 16.
Have you seen any benefits from the new feeding routine are they much healthier??
The following suggestion is for people who want an easy way to control portions (easy for them, or for a pet sitter, etc.) The typical ice cube tray is made of 1 oz sections. You can freeze the meat in ice cube trays, then put the frozen cubes into a plastic container where you can pull out the number of cube you need at a time.

Ok ó of
Make sure they get bones or other calcium sources tho! Cats need 80% meat, 10% bone and 10% organs in their diets!
I'm glad your kitties are happy, but don't forget about the bones, they need the calcium in it :)
Lesson No: 1. Animals never glare at you for NO reason. Lol. Probably be a good idea to at least add fish oils and some taurine to that mix.
Thank you :D I can't make this because my blender sucks and can't even put up frog Sen mangoes.
Frozen, sorry

LOL! Kitty meows every time he gets a kiss - cute!
As a vet technician w/ more than 20 years experience, my only suggestion here is to please tell your veterinarian before starting a raw diet. Not so they can talk you out of it, but so they can put it in your cats record. It's helpful for us to know this B4 an exam. Thx.! ;)
John Amidon if you don’t mind explaining. Why does it matter?
Elle Plow Plow: well, processing raw food in a home setting runs a higher risk of bacterial contamination, especially chicken. So, if a cat is presented with GI complaints & I'm taking the history, knowing kitty is on a raw diet can be a clue. And, no offense, but owners can forget to mention the darndest things! Cheers! :)
John Amidon thanks. :)
Elle Plow Plow: a very good question, happy to answer.
I may start feeding my cats this diet and ur cat at the end was hilarious 😂so cute
If you look closely, you can see the baby´s coat. Talk about UBER healthy, that is one gorgeous kitty. I highly recommend this for all felines and dogs (similar but not quite recipe).
Libertad dogs could use a lil veg in their meals though. for cats, this is perfect!
Miriam Sulaiman I am starting too. Put an order for Tasin 108. Gonna do it soon :-)!! So excited. Only the best for my feline baby girl 😊
I give my kitty little chunks of chicken, but never bones.he likes other meats too.not minced though
Consult a vet before doing so.
My vegan fiancé is gonna hate that I’ll be grinding bones in his vitamix. Hahahah.
Cassie Corrao meh heheheh... this made me laugh 😂
Rebecca Hartman you can just clean it with hot soapy water
Rebecca Hartman and if you felt hurt and disrespects from that, you should have done your fiance a favor and left him.
He deserves better.
I legitimately have vegetarian friends who are vegetarians by religion, and they have no problems eating from my pans, as long as what actually constitutes the food served actually had no meat inside.
As a vegan you should get a rabbit or bug as a pet not carnivore pets like humans should be 😂😂👌

They do add supplements
Hahaha. The cat yowling every time she kissed him. 😂
This looks so healthy for my baby boy I'm gonna cry he deserves the best😭😭😭😭😭😭awesome recipe!!!
How often and what amount would you feed the cat a day and how long does one container last ?
Our local Publix stopped grinding meat for us. The manager told us that their policy doesn't allow them to grind chicken which was super frustrating. We go to a local butcher now which is expensive because they only use grass-fed, locally-sourced meat but my cat now eats better quality meat than me lol
Why don't you just buy a meat grinder or a vitamix? I don't put bones in my vitamix and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
I just found out yesterday my cat has cancer and I want to put her on a raw food diet! Thank you so much for this video!!! And your Q&As on your page are awesome!!

I find it funny that a butcher isn't able to grind up bones but a damn Vitamix can! Makes no sense to me.

OMG I LOVE how thorough you are!!
Thank you so much for making this video!!
You did an AMAZING job 😺
How much do you usually spend on cat food? Including the vitamins and all that.
Good luck!
@@phillygdev so it would be best to add only before they eat right?
@@MClara-ep4sf Yup!
@@phillygdev thanks for the answer! I'm going to start transitioning to wet food, which my cat absolutely hates... gonna have some fun months
My cat has struvite crystals too. I'm scared to give him the dry urinary diet all the time, but can't afford a strong blender to make this.
When I made this for my cats they smelled it and walked away one of them looked at me like WHO DO YOU THINK I AM SOME KIND OF WILD ANIMAL OR SOMETHING ? I'm going to keep trying
😂 I want to try making this but I'm afraid I'll get the same reaction
something she forgot to say in the video, cats dont like cold food... in nature they kill their prey and eat it instantly, so it's warm. you have to warm the food a bit, but not in the microwave, because the microwave ends up cooking it. it's better to store them in plastic bags, so when its time to feed your cat, you put the plastic bag in a bowl of warm water, then you serve.
😂😂😂
Yes it has be “mouse” warm😹
Add Valerian to it. (extract)
This was the first video that made it super easy and straightfoward. Thank you for leaving out all the filler!
Thought you were trying to be trendy til you whipped out the supplements, especially taurine.
WHERE can I find these supplements, and how much of each to add to how many pounds of meat when I'm making up batches?
You can grind bones with a vitamix?? This just changed my life.

Etc.

Hi! Thanks for these “how tos” on raw cat food recipes! I recently switched my 2 cats over to this recipe and they love it! However, I’m new to raw food and I want to know how long I can store the raw cat food in my fridge for?
She said 2 days in the video.
I wear those dish washing gloves I bought specificly for making cat food! 😄 I'm not touching it!
thank you for taking the time to create this video.
Nice to see how much you care for your cat 👍
What are the "brown candies"?

I know this video has been out there for a while but I just saw it this week. I assembled the ingredients and got started and my 2 cats were hovering around my feet, with noses in the air, so curious about what they were smelling and what I was doing. I put down a couple of tablespoons on a plate to see if they would be interested. I sprinkled a little of their commercial pet food over it to “transition“ them. WOW! They devoured it and were fighting over the first plate. I quickly put down a second plate. They licked them both clean.
Best part was your cat meowing every time you have him or her a kiss
Wild cats eat rats and rabbits which have taurine in them.
Dogs have to eat bones of you're only feeding them raw without supplements, that's how they get calcium. They're carnivores too.
Because cats are carnivores and dogs are omnivores
Meaning cats get all of their calories from raw meat, and raw meat only
And dogs get all of their calories from raw meat and vegetation
Micki Babe theyre actually both carnivores. Dogs are facultative carnivores, meaning they thrive on a meat based diet but have the ability to get some nutrition from plant sources, although it's not ideal for optimal health. Cats are obligate carnivores, meaning they can only survive on a meat based diet and plants are never an option.
I'd be afraid the bones would break my vitamix
I'm not even going to risk it. I scrape the meat off the bones and then throw it in my vitamix.
The vitamix grinds down cement blocks in the commecials...
This is the best video about preparing raw cat food.... thank you so much!!!
Thank you so much for this, I’ve been looking for a recipe that would be easy enough to make at home! Will definitely be giving this a try!!
i dont get it.Where did u put the hearts and the livers ?
She had the butcher grind all the meat together in the very beginning. Did you watch?
