Hi! I ve just bought the triggers and the pads, but I have a question. Does the triggers work on every drum interface/module?? Thank you, those products are beautiful
Great! I've been waiting for these. As Kenny stated, other triggers are good with the Black Holes but getting them to stay on is tough. Clamped on models come off after a while and need to be loosened and tightened again. Also tried the Pintech RS-5 stick on and that comes off after a few hits with the vibrations.
please show me how you connected all the triggers etc i cannot work out how they should be attached and where to the ead10 ---the shown ead10 trigger schematic drawing doesnt seem to workout-how are yours set up?
@David Atkin The EAD has 6 possible trigger inputs. There is a kick 1/2 input which can be split into two trigger inputs via a stereo TRS Male to 2 mono female splitters. - There is a Snare 3/4 input which can be split into two trigger inputs via a stereo TRS Male to 2 mono female splitters. - then there are 2 more single zone trigger inputs labeled 5 and 6. Hope this information was helpful. If you have any other questions please email us on the contact us page at rtom.com
Hello. Seeking help. I am using Alesis strike module with black hole heads and triggers but not able to remove double triggering no matter what setting I am adjusting. I am using mono cable for black hole trigger and also tried trs cable and result a little bit better when I eliminating rims sounds Do you have experience with the same issue or maybe you have a solution for my setup. Thank you in advance.
So with the ead10 do you split all of the channels so have enough for all drums and cymbals? basically just asking if you can put cymbal triggers on the split channels also ?if that makes sense lol
I bought them and th DDti drum module just couldnt give me the right response for snare and for bass drum, i tried everything, changing triggers from possition, turning on and off the module, loosen and tighten the mesh heads, i even tried different modules but turns out the best answer i could have was with the ddti. i cant manage how to stop the bass drum to have false triggerings as well as the snare. any suggestions or help? i tried everything i could imagine but its frustrating to make such a big investment in equipment and not seing the desired results. HEEELP!
We Need Help. Anyone please. What settings for a ddti? We are having some trouble over here. They just aren't responding very well at all. What are we doing wrong?
Since every kit setup is unique, factors like drumhead tension can affect how each BH trigger performs. If you encounter any difficulties while using your triggers don't hesitate to contact our support team through the "contact us" page on our website at rtom.com.
The purpose of Kenny's video is to educate drummers in module settings. Then it's up to the end user to take that knowledge and apply to it their particular setup. There are many factors that play a part so unfortunately in some situations you will not be able to copy the exact settings. Please note if you are experiencing double triggering we recommend the following: 1. Use TS cables, 2. Increase the tension on your BH heads, 3. Adjust your module settings, 4. Apply a piece of Moongel or Gaff tape to the front of the trigger on the mesh.
hopefully we can get a 2 zone trigger for the snare eventually
Still waiting on this 👴🏻
Awesome 🤩
Thanks for the awesome review! Why not use the low volume cymbals?
We have definitely used low-volume cymbals in other vids, just opted not to in this one!
i Love Moongel On The Toms

We 100% recommend using TS Cables with the bh Trigger/Black Hole set up. Please let us know if this helps!
I’m thinking about purchasing the black hole bass drum head and trigger, is the trigger compatible with the Simmons sd1200 module?
Should be compatible with any module that allows for 1/4 cable input.
So with the ead10 do you split all of the channels so have enough for all drums and cymbals? basically just asking if you can put cymbal triggers on the split channels also ?if that makes sense lol
I believe Kenny is using the EAD10 Microphone to pick up the cymbals (not triggered).

HEEELP!
Please send an email on the contact us page of rtom.com so we can provide support. Are you using ts cables?
Are these compatible with the Low Volume Mesh heads?
The bh Triggers are only compatible with the Black Hole Practice System.
V2 bass drum model? Is that new? Is it available to the public?
The BH V2 bass drum model is the new design. It's currently only available in the Starter Pack.
@@RTOMCorporation will it be sold as a individual at one point?
@@TylerCritti Yes, coming soon! Different bass drum sizes will have different release dates.
I'd love to see a video on this new kick drum model!

Those settings didn't work for me at all with the Yamaha ead10. Major double triggering pretty much no matter what I did.

@@RTOMCorporation you're right. i was using a TRS cable. thanks for the suggestion.
merci, but to be available in France won't be for tomorrow at correct price , my friends in US can have today . hélas
These settings still causing constant doube triggering on snare
Are you using TS or TRS cables? We recommend using TS cables to avoid double triggering.
I think this is the youngest brother of Mick Jagger you guys
