The scariest thing about looking at the photo is she genuinely looks alive … all things considered the picture looks like any other ransom picture taken with the victim but when you know the story of what happened to that girl it makes you feel sick looking at it
Many people in Alaska carry firearms for protection. 21 years and up. The sad reality as a 18 year old she wasnt permitted to have one. If she had, this would have been a different story. But someone her age can join military. This should have changed legislation in Alaska to under 18 with specialized training. Alaska especially where most people may carry a kodiak bear stopper.
Still don’t see any where in the constitution that puts an age limit on 2A rights. Lift all gun laws because all of them are unconstitutional. Not to mention in Alaska you have a rather large bear that may just see you as dinner. I may not agree with the Swiss on mandatory military rules for men but after their service in the Swiss military you have the option to keep you service arms. I do believe you still have to purchase it but it is an option. I personally would like to see here in America where if you serve in the military, you keep you service arms free of charge including actual assault rifles like the m16a2. It would be a much better way to spend tax payer money, unlike funding free crack pipes. I always laugh when a leftist calls an AR15 an assault rifle. The left in this country are complete morons when it comes to guns.
Not all of the videos are like this one, he does different types of series like Missing 411, Places you can’t go and People Who Went Anyway, Pictures With Disturbing Backstories, etc. but they’re all really interesting!

Always try to escape. Plus never ever let someone take you away. Always fight even if they shoot you. Also kill your intruder so they never can come after you.
Speaks like someone who hasn't dealt with one of these situations first hand. Good luck "trying to do something" when there's a gun pointed at you 7 feet away with a counter between you. If we're working with hypotheticals you could just kill your would-be intruders parents before they ever conceive him, to put a halt to the robbery before the little bastard ever has the idea.
I trained my kids to never let them take you to a "secondary place". Even if they point a gun at you, better they shoot you there. Maybe someone will find you and call an ambulance. Don't end up somewhere remote with no help. Fight like hell to not be taken to a "secondary place"!
I did the same thing with my niece. I told her not to ever let anybody take her some place else even if they have a gun.....if you go with them your chance for survival is next to none and they will probably do more than shoot you. Just stand your ground, you have better odds of them being thrown off by your defiance and willing to fight them and hopefully panic and take off. If they shot you there then there is a good chance that they will be caught and someone around to get you medical aid. I find it so so sad that we have to tell kids these things. When I was a kid we didn't even lock our front door. It is a shame.
@@paisliesplace3921 The NEWS greatly exacerbates the amount of information related to crime you are exposed to. Statistically things were more dangerous "back in the day" - you just didn't hear about every crime around the world.
12:09 To correct Millie as an Anchorage resident. It wouldn't have been the middle of no where. These coffee shops are in parking lots of strip malls and such.
I live in New Hampshire which is next to Vermont. I remember when this elderly couple disappeared from Vermont. Years later we found out that the couple were two of Keyes’ victims. It was mental.
Mr. Ballen is a fantastic storyteller! I absolutely love him! I've watched every video he's released. You've got to watch more. He *does* have stories that end on a happier note, so they might be of interest to you.
I have always heard to not allow anyone to take you from the meeting site. Once they remove you they have more control over the situation. I much rather scream, hit, try to run than be placed in a vehicle. The odds are you won’t be released anyway. Even if killed they have more chances of making mistakes like in DNA left behind or other factors and caught. Do everything to not be moved. How true this is I don’t know and pray none of us find personally find out. Now I have goosebumps. In lighter news, I love your channel. Thanks for sharing!!
He is a great story teller. He does stories of haunting weird accidents crime mystery. People who just disappear. He makes them very interesting. I would recommend covers.
Never get in the car. Push panic button, throw coffee in his face or run to back of store. Plus she should have been armed and never let them take you anywhere. They have to shoot you. Once taken away you are in worst position.
This was so tragic and heartbreaking...I saw surveillance video of her being held up in the store she worked at and being taken away.....and that haunting horrific ransom selfie of her...it is traumatizing. My heart aches for her parents, knowing there is photos of her dead floating around. But seeing her alive in the Store, serving him and having her hands held up and taken away was so heart breaking for me...this world makes me so angry.
I'm with her on never working a dangerous shift by myself. The closest I'd ever gotten was back when I worked elections I was the first one to report to my shift at 4 am on an Election Day. I was literally the first person in the building and I had my human mace in one hand and my bear mace in the other hand when I got out of the car, unlocked the door to the building, and relocked it again until the rest of the staff showed up.
This is a rough one but this is reality. My friends body after 10 years missing was just found yesterday outside my home town in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Even though stories like this are morbid it gives families some comfort knowing where their loved ones remains lay. My fiancé is a manager at a pharmacy and I stay watching the perimeter well before they close the doors because you just never know.
Mr Ballen is a former Navy Seal, and does a lot of unexplained missing persons stories about people who disappear in National Parks. Some are found alive, some not, and some never found. He also does ghost stories, and then there's some like this one.
Beesley, this guy, and his stories, aren't fake, but he does stretch the truth like a giant rubber band. I've told Thurston about him, but he still reacts to the videos.
While earning my BS in forensics, I asked one of my Pros. (who helped catch Gary Ridgeway, the Green River Killer) how she deals with all the darkness -- she said that she has her husband to ground her. Asked same question of an FBI agent after a presentation he gave, said pretty much the same thing, he has his dog to keep him grounded.
I've seen too many stories like this. If anyone ever tried to take me they'd have to kill me. No way I'd go anywhere willingly. So sad and tragic. If you want scared, watch his video "this box will kill you," "palmyra wolves," "teen haunted by something in the woods" videos. Kept me up all night. Watched them after midnight in pitch black. 😬
Mr. Ballen does a wide variety of topic's. What interesting about Mr. Ballen is he's an ex Navy Seal , who narration skills are unbelievably good. I mean you hear about Seals being able to over come any situation. And for him to narrate so well and be so entertaining is impressive. I mean your left scratching your head and thinking " What the heck did he go to the Morgan Freeman narration school" or what?
Law Abiding Citizen is an awesome movie. He was so right when it comes to the laws being wrong and ridiculously easy on people who most likely were guilty even though the laws are, you are innocent until proven guilty, they still should have to be careful in case they are guilty. Too many people get off on technicalities and go free when they are guilty. Love that movie.
The only guy I know of the FBI was cautious about (terrified seems too strong a word) was Kevin Mitnick. He was a hacking pioneer that invented ways to steal gigantic sums of money, change traffic lights, make free phone calls in the days of phone booths, etc.. when he was eventually captured he was put in solitary and denied any kind of electronics and wasn't even allowed to make phone calls - he threatened he could launch a nuclear missile with one, and they believed him lol
I agree. I don't think the FBI is scared of """simple""" (let me use the term simple) serial killers. They know that serial killers make a mistake sooner or later and can be caught at any time, even for crimes not related to homicides. With the terrorists, on the other hand, I think they are more cautious, for the simple fact that the terrorists have nothing to lose, while the FBI does, an entire nation if the terrorists' crazy plans take shape. In this case, of course, this demonic being (because as a man, I find hard to define him as man), he is certainly not a normal human being, he is what fairy tales call a monster, but the FBI was not at all terrified of him, or it would not have been arrested in a short time...
@@ShadowSoul92 true but there’s a lot more unsolved murders with no suspect than there is terrorist plots with no suspect or suspects and typically when the fbi is terrified they arrest them quickly, with terrorist groups they tend to allow them more leeway in order to catch more members of the terrorist cell like using them as bait.
@@kevinprzy4539 Yes, but a serial killer generally works alone, if not, as in some cases in criminal history, they are mercenaries for criminal organizations. Terrorists are basically a network. Arresting them immediately would make no sense. They are like the legend of the hydra. If you cut off a single head, it is useless, the group remains. Cutting off all the heads together is more profitable as it dismantles an entire terrorist organization. Serial killers are easier to arrest, in principle they always make mistakes (DNA on victims, for example), moreover serial killers rarely carry out mass murder (those are more terrorists who have their own idea and propaganda that they want to spread) , and in that case mass murder is only a means, in the case of serial killers the reason can be anything, from money, to feeling like God, deciding who lives and who dies, sexual gratification (even without sexual assault ) etc...
@@ShadowSoul92 Yea that’s why I said they don’t typically arrest terrorist organizations right away not because they’re scared. There’s a lot of serial killers that kill just to kill they don’t necessarily don’t get anything out of it that’s why they typically don’t get caught and why they’re such a mystery.
@@kevinprzy4539 My statement about "they are more afraid of a terrorist organization than a serial killer" is weighted that they have a lot more to lose if they make a mistake (aka mass murder, someone could steal state secrets, which are secrets to a reason, and ruining an entire country etc ...) with a serial killer (even if losing one life is horrible), they have less to lose. A victim once every few times, compared to 1000 possible victims every day ... the title of the original video is: "The man who terrorized the FBI", if they were afraid of a serial killer, the FBI agents would not they would be agents ... they are more terrified of a terrorist threat that they may not foresee and / or stop. If you think for example of 9/11, the terrorist / homophobic attack of a single person at the Pulse ... even in my continent in Europe, in England and in France there have been terrorist attacks, and I think that scares much more. , to law enforcement officers that not a single person killing random victims every now and then, no matter how crude the murders may be ...

My fav mr ballen's is exactly what someone else wrote. I love his "3 places you cant go (or shouldnt) and the people that went there anyway". Interesting little places he finds. And some of it even educates.
In case you didn’t know. This guy narrating was a Navy Seal. Pretty cool
You both need more shares because its refreshing to see your videos.
MrBallen has some of the best content on RUclips for sure. Personally I love his series “3 places you can’t go and people went anyways”. Love your channel too keep it up.
I live in Anchorage, Alaska and I remember this very well it was so sad
This story is the subject of an excellent book, "American Predator."
Never let them take you to a second location.
Oh yeah, definitely do some more Mr. Ballen!
The bad news is people like that actually exist. The good news is they are very few of the whole population.
MrBallen is RUclips's best story teller by far!
Hey just started to watch yall guys this weekend and wanted to say I like yall and keep up the good work and I love these videos 😄😁🙂
Props the officers that found the car.
Yes!!!! I love Mr. Ballen's videos. The guy is such a brilliant story teller. Some of his videos are really long, but I swear the time flies by because you're so engaged in the story and wondering what happens next. I particularly love his Top 3 Stories that Sound Fake but Are 100% Real videos.
I saw this one from Mr.Ballen already, but watched this again. Then investigated even more.
"Oh, that guy that killed his family?" Showing my age here but I instantly thought of Ronald DeFeo (the Amityville horror).
Best storyteller ever. I watch all of his videos!
Love Mr. Ballen... and also Slapped Ham..
Millie I'm really good at telling if people are faking about anything and I can say without a doubt that YOU DON'T FAKE ABOUT ANYTHING!!!!! You rock.. a little side note a girl from my hometown went missing and was never found. That's been over 25 years now....
Mr. Ballen tells a story like no one else. He makes it exciting and very understandable. He is an amazing story teller. He is a little scary, but he sure can tell a story. I love him. ❤️🌹❤️ I am sure you two will enjoy Mr. Ballen. I enjoy you too.
Always try to escape. Plus never ever let someone take you away. Always fight even if they shoot you. Also kill your intruder so they never can come after you.
Exactly! It's better to try than to not do anything at all
Speaks like someone who hasn't dealt with one of these situations first hand.
Yep. The owner no longer allowed one person shifts either.
Mr. Ballen is a retired U.S.Navy Seal. He’s also a great story teller. I’ve been watching his RUclips channel from the beginning
I saw a video of this guy on how he grew up and its explained why he was the way he was.
I live in New Hampshire which is next to Vermont. I remember when this elderly couple disappeared from Vermont. Years later we found out that the couple were two of Keyes’ victims. It was mental.
You should react to Black Rifle Coffee Company “The Last Cup of Coffee” or their “It’s Who We Are” series
The Last Cup of Coffee, for sure
You both seem genuinely sweet and kind
Always love Mr. Ballen's storytelling, love you two, too!
He's a great story teller watch him all the time
Mr. Ballen’s stories are most usually very chilling. This one was no exception. I felt the same way as Millie after hearing this. So tragic and scary!
oh don't worry about the trolls. internet trolls will troll.
John Allen is a friggin rock star. I've literally watched every 1 of his videos
When I saw who this was about I wanted to holler" Millie don't watch!"
You guys are dope. I’ve never thought you guys reactions were fake 😭
Give a person (who is in some problem ) a little bit of hope and then snatch that hope away . That my friend is called pure despair
I really like Mr. Ballen and like to see you guys react to his videos. He is a great story teller.
She had chances to escape.
Poor Millie…I want to give you a hug!
