You know out of all the MK antagonists, I've always held Onaga in a rather high regard. My brother likes him and told me and agreed that Onaga's the closest thing to the One Being. It also made sense for Shao Kahn to poison him, because of his tremendous might. To this day, I'm still mystified as to how Shao Kahn escaped Onaga in MK Armageddon/MK9. I'm curious as to how and when Onaga will return, maybe in the Great Kung Lao's story in the future.
Apparently he's not that mighty.he died from a mere poison and got resurrected for a very short time before dying again. Then Shao Khan beat him again. He was a garbage villain just absolutely garbage
i doubt NRS can nail anything at this point mkx and mk11 story mode and injustice 1/2 are so bad and they’re writers are brain dead but yeah hopefully they get fired so we can get a GOOD story for ij3 and mk12
omar yes I was a die hard fan of mk, still am but of the older games I find mkx and mk11 irrelevant inconsistent and alien compared to the older games . All the previous games had amazing stories I repeat all , including mk4 and Armageddon. Compared to this new gen shit we are getting now
And plus mk9 was mk1 2 and 3 and mkx was 4 and mk11 was deadly alliance so there could be potential for onaga but i wish they give him a badass design and not changing his body and make him the final boss and the best character development and best character

All I want is him standing the tallest atleast 9-11 ft high, Highest HP in the game, And talks down to everyone even The elder gods fearing him. And ofcourse a small reference of Scorpion being the chosen champion to take out Onaga by the Elder gods.

The intro to Armageddon always made me curious, it seemed like Onaga wasn't even interested in the Pyramid and just sorely wanted Shao Khan, but I suppose he could of just waited for the other fighters to kill each other before returning and defeating Blaze himself.
Onaga at that point desired to kill blaze but only to win the prize which was blazes power. He wanted to kill blaze for his power so that he can kill Shinnok. Onaga lost to Shao kahn but onaga believed he could defeat kahn w.o blazes power but onaga did not believe he could defeat Shinnok unless he had it. This speaks worlds on how onaga doesn’t fear shao kahn but was somewhat worrisome of Shinnok. He himself said he’d kill shao kahn and win blazes power in order to then slay Shinnok. Onaga faces kahn and lost but the fact that he believed he could defeat kahn and not shinnok speaks worlds when it’s from onagas own words implying directly that shinnok is stronger than both he and shao kahn. he can’t beat Shinnok w.o blazes power and ended up not even getting to the point where he’d have blazes power and defeat shinnok,he couldn’t even defeat shao khan. People really sleep on Shinnoks power. Shao kahn has always been inferior to the elder gods and elder god level and was destroyed by it and onaga himself w.o the kamidogu obviously feared it since he was scared of shinnok to a degree which he’s never been scared of anyone certainly not even kahn so it says a lot. I believe in MK12 Onaga will be the main villain. With Fire God Liu Kang the protector of Earthrealm and Keeper of Time, he'll choose his Champion for the MK Tournament in this new reboot. After Aftermath, its safe to say The Great Kung Lao will be the main hero and we'll see him becoming GREAT while he's being trained by Fire God Liu Kang! That would be hype if true
I always had an idea of like an abomination that fused the main bosses together. Imagine this... Shao Kahn with 4 arms, the legs & tail of a centaur, the wings of Onaga, and he also has the tiger print of Kentaro, fire breath and Barakas arm spikes/teeth, all while duel wielding giant hammers. I know that this creation will never be made, but just imagine how powerful that monstrosity would be?
Van Do It’s not a movie, it’s a video game. As a player, anyone of us can defeat Onaga depends on how good we are in combat. If it’s a movie, the fight between Liu Kang and Onaga would be longer, and if it’s a game, players that plays Liu Kang can either defeat Onaga easily or take a long time beating him.
That would be sick since Onaga was a threat to the Elder Gods I think that would be an even match up. It would be cool too if Onaga reveals Liu Kang has his blood flowing within him. small problem, onaga went to shujinko first and THEN went to defeat the deadly alliance. When onaga first finds shujinko he tells him that the kamidogu are useless unless he got the amulet which he mentions some foolish sorcerer has. That's why he goes to kill shang tsung, quan chi, and raiden. because he wants the amulet in order to make use of the kamidogu.
Liu Kang would finally tell Kung Lao to stfu about being the descendant of the Great Kung Lao, since Liu Kang is literally a heir to the Dragon King/Ruler of Outworld.

Onaga really needs to return and be the main threat of a future MK game. We also REALLY need more explanation about the differences between Elder Gods and Titans and of course, the one above them all; the One Being. The subtle hints Cetrion mentioned about Liu Kang's fire and dragon abilities somehow being related the Dragon King really has me interested. Great stuff and potential lore to be explored. I now wonder if the same would also go for Liu's fellow shaolin *Kai* and Taven's brother Deagon as well, seeing as both kombatants also have natural relations to fire in kombat? The latter of whom seemed to have been obsessed with Onaga with his Red Dragon Clan. 🤔 I know Scorpion also has the ability to use fire, but his is more demonic in origin, being *Hellfire* in his case from the Netherrealm. 🤗
Plot twist:the one being is actually shang tsung from the bad ending in aftermath after he absorbed kronika, fire god liu kang and everyone's souls and became a titan then sought to conquer all realms to become very powerful,somehow his actions ended up causing reality to merge with two realities,shang tsung merges all realms and becomes the one being and starts feeding off the energy of liu kang's allies,Liu kang(from the good ending)frees raiden,fujin,kitana,kung lao,and bo rai cho,he turns all six of them them into the elder gods and together they combine their powers recreating the kamidogu and use them to defeat the one being shang tsung and shatters his consciousness back into the realms recreating reality....after the realms come into existence Liu kang and his allies become the elder gods and supreme guardians of the realms the whole mk universe is one endless loop

I'm gonna say it hear because this video has made points that I have been pondering since the new MK1 has been announced. I think Fire God Lui Kang is going to become Onaga, some how some way. His ties to Onaga and dragons in general have been alluded to so much in past installments, and now Lui Kang is a god, has remade the timeline to his liking, and he seems more than ready to defend it to the bitter end. I dare even say his desire to "preserve peace" at any cost will corrupt him, like Raiden became corrupt, and it's going to produce a true monster. This would be so awesome to see the great champion of Earth realm and Mortal Kombat, the "chosen one", to fall from grace and become the villain of villains that everyone now has to stop at any cost. That would be epic.
I would love for MK sequel to have Onaga coming up glowing with the power of Blaze with Dark Raiden and revenant Shao Khan as his servants while Lui Kang is consulting with Kung Lao... I felt really disappointed that Onaga wasn't the main villain in MK11 which could have explored his character more than the original timeline did and even the One Being as well but why have that cool shit when we can have a random character out of nowhere that was never hinted once, creates this confusing as hell timeline thing where characters from the past pop up and makes the story harder to understand just so it can look complex and finally having the whole timeline thing reset yet again instead of continuing the new timeline and it's characters and story as if they never mattered at all.

Hsu Hao re-imagined as a Rogue Chinese General and leading Chinese forces in conflict with US Forces. - Black Dragons vs Red Dragons. - Shao Kahn and Kitana fighting over the throne of Outland as Civil War breaks out again. - Revealed that all of this is the doing of Havik as he attempts to tip the scales in favor of Chaos Realm in a war between Order Realm and Chaos Realm. - Onaga the Dragon King is the one behind all of this as his Ally, Havik, works to prepare for his rebirth. - Also revealed that the Lords of Order are the ones who started the war and are an even bigger threat than Chaos Realm. - Guest Character Dr. Fate from DC, following up on his warning to Raiden that the Lords of Order being a threat from Injustice 2.
Onaga the Dragon King, hates Shao Kahn for taking the throne from him, will neither be a Dlc in Mortal Kombat 11, or he shall appear in a another Mortal Kombat game, yet, he is able to share Shao Kahn's size, Blaze will still be in his Mortal Kombat Armageddon boss form, he still can have his Steam Roller move, his boss form is the only form I like.
The Elder Gods are utterly useless. If their objective is to keep The One being from returning, then they should have stopped Shao Kahn in his tracks the first time he merged realms but they just let him keep going. Utterly useless

I could see Liu Kang possibly coming from Onaga's bloodline seeing that he does turn into a dragon as his fatality. Not to mention Liu Kang does deal more damage to him in MK Deception.
I think Liu Kang is a descendant of Onaga. It’s a really cool idea and I love that sense of denial he has, but it could be true, all the evidence is literally there.
They could make I a whole story with liu trying too fight the desires that onaga had or have him get visions up have it as Onaga becoming a neutral character who helps train liu

The more info I get about Onaga, the less of a villain he seems to be. Rather, he comes across to be more like a neutral character. His rule was never told in detail, but we see how Outworld operates under Shao and Kotal's rules respectively. Liu Kang being a descended of both Onaga and the Great Kung Lao is an awesome concept. I hope NRS does something with it in the next game.
Sorry to say but while onaga is very powerful and I love him as a villain and prefer him to shao kahn any day,he is overrated in power. He had the 6 kamidogu which massively power you up in deceptions story arc which he WAS extremely powerful but ONLY because of having attained the kamidogu,after his defeat the events of Armageddon happen and he no longer possess kamidogu and he is at base. And after shao Kahn’s defeat in mk3 Shinnoks defeat in mk4 and onagas in deception they are all a shadow of their former selves but a base kahn w.o the millions of souls he had in mk3/mk9 or w.o blazes power was enough to end onagas life. Sad to say but apparently a base shao kahn was proven to be stronger than a base onaga at this point it was to show shao kahn did rise beyond onaga after his death. Shinnok is the only main boss stronger than those two naturally. He is an elder god. Base kahn Who is his mk2 power level self defeated a base onaga in Armageddon and a powered up shao kahn in mk9 which is mk3 basically mk3 Kahn still was killed by the elder gods. Shinnok is an elder god and he himself almost won and narrowly lost to the elder gods and raiden in a war that destroyed entire races and worlds. Meanwhile a powered up kahn who already surpassed a base onaga couldn’t win against raiden and elder gods in mk9 when shinnok only narrowly was defeated barely in the cannon mklore that revolves around Shinnoks story and his plot to take over all the realms and his eventual banishment which happened bfr mk1 and whom was a far greater threat then kahn or onaga in their OWN power ever were. Shinnok has raw power at nature that is elder god level and kahn and onaga nowhere strong they were with and without amps still had to have major amps to get close or rival that power which shinnok naturally had. He is naturally the superior villain. Even onaga himself understood this when he temporarily served shinnok in Armageddon. This was cannon and it did happen however brief. His amulet he created himself to infuse a huge bulk of his full elder god power within so the elder gods cannot completely strip him of it. Onaga and kahn nor Quan chi or Shang tsung cannot fully tap into its power because it is merely a vassal that contains Shinnoks own full elder god power within which is why he’s extremely powerful with it and so weak without it and why when other villains possess it it doesn’t really amp them too much bcuz only shinnok can tap into it 100% since it’s HIS OWN power

Reiko’s ending just says he went to try for Shao. If ya ask me I think Reiko will die, and Shao may try to tame him and fail thus Onaga storyline in Mk2, or Shao succeeds and he tames Onaga.

I always had an idea of like an abomination that fused the main bosses together.
Imagine this... Shao Kahn with 4 arms, the legs & tail of a centaur, the wings of Onaga, and he also has the tiger print of Kentaro, fire breath and Barakas arm spikes/teeth, all while duel wielding giant hammers.
I know that this creation will never be made, but just imagine how powerful that monstrosity would be?

It’s not a movie, it’s a video game. As a player, anyone of us can defeat Onaga depends on how good we are in combat. If it’s a movie, the fight between Liu Kang and Onaga would be longer, and if it’s a game, players that plays Liu Kang can either defeat Onaga easily or take a long time beating him.
That would be sick since Onaga was a threat to the Elder Gods I think that would be an even match up. It would be cool too if Onaga reveals Liu Kang has his blood flowing within him. small problem, onaga went to shujinko first and THEN went to defeat the deadly alliance. When onaga first finds shujinko he tells him that the kamidogu are useless unless he got the amulet which he mentions some foolish sorcerer has. That's why he goes to kill shang tsung, quan chi, and raiden. because he wants the amulet in order to make use of the kamidogu.

Onaga really needs to return and be the main threat of a future MK game. We also REALLY need more explanation about the differences between Elder Gods and Titans and of course, the one above them all; the One Being. The subtle hints Cetrion mentioned about Liu Kang's fire and dragon abilities somehow being related the Dragon King really has me interested. Great stuff and potential lore to be explored. I now wonder if the same would also go for Liu's fellow shaolin *Kai* and Taven's brother Deagon as well, seeing as both kombatants also have natural relations to fire in kombat? The latter of whom seemed to have been obsessed with Onaga with his Red Dragon Clan. 🤔
I know Scorpion also has the ability to use fire, but his is more demonic in origin, being *Hellfire* in his case from the Netherrealm. 🤗
Plot twist:the one being is actually shang tsung from the bad ending in aftermath after he absorbed kronika, fire god liu kang and everyone's souls and became a titan then sought to conquer all realms to become very powerful,somehow his actions ended up causing reality to merge with two realities,shang tsung merges all realms and becomes the one being and starts feeding off the energy of liu kang's allies,Liu kang(from the good ending)frees raiden,fujin,kitana,kung lao,and bo rai cho,he turns all six of them them into the elder gods and together they combine their powers recreating the kamidogu and use them to defeat the one being shang tsung and shatters his consciousness back into the realms recreating reality....after the realms come into existence Liu kang and his allies become the elder gods and supreme guardians of the realms

I'm gonna say it hear because this video has made points that I have been pondering since the new MK1 has been announced. I think Fire God Lui Kang is going to become Onaga, some how some way. His ties to Onaga and dragons in general have been alluded to so much in past installments, and now Lui Kang is a god, has remade the timeline to his liking, and he seems more than ready to defend it to the bitter end. I dare even say his desire to "preserve peace" at any cost will corrupt him, like Raiden became corrupt, and it's going to produce a true monster. This would be so awesome to see the great champion of Earth realm and Mortal Kombat, the "chosen one", to fall from grace and become the villain of villains that everyone now has to stop at any cost. That would be epic.

I really wish NRS would expand on how exactly Shao got away from Onaga at the pyramid and made it back. Cause it looked like he was screwed and even if he did kill onaga it wasnt like onaga just took him around the block
I felt really disappointed that Onaga wasn't the main villain in MK11 which could have explored his character more than the original timeline did and even the One Being as well but why have that cool shit when we can have a random character out of nowhere that was never hinted once, creates this confusing as hell timeline thing where characters from the past pop up and makes the story harder to understand just so it can look complex and finally having the whole timeline thing reset yet again instead of continuing the new timeline and it's characters and story as if they never mattered at all.

-Order vs Chaos storyline.
- Wars and Upheaval is breaking out across all the realms. Countries on Earth Realm are suddenly gearing up for war and various riots and civil wars are erupting all over the Earth. Hsu Hao re-imagined as a Rogue Chinese General and leading Chinese forces in conflict with US Forces.
- Black Dragons vs Red Dragons.
- Shao Kahn and Kitana fighting over the throne of Outland as Civil War breaks out again.
- Revealed that all of this is the doing of Havik as he attempts to tip the scales in favor of Chaos Realm in a war between Order Realm and Chaos Realm.
- Onaga the Dragon King is the one behind all of this as his Ally, Havik, works to prepare for his rebirth.
- Also revealed that the Lords of Order are the ones who started the war and are an even bigger threat than Chaos Realm.
- Guest Character Dr. Fate from DC, following up on his warning to Raiden that the Lords of Order being a threat from Injustice 2.

The more info I get about Onaga, the less of a villain he seems to be. Rather, he comes across to be more like a neutral character. His rule was never told in detail, but we see how Outworld operates under Shao and Kotal's rules respectively.
Liu Kang being a descended of both Onaga and the Great Kung Lao is an awesome concept. I hope NRS does something with it in the next game.

Sorry to say but while onaga is very powerful and I love him as a villain and prefer him to shao kahn any day,he is overrated in power. He had the 6 kamidogu which massively power you up in deceptions story arc which he WAS extremely powerful but ONLY because of having attained the kamidogu,after his defeat the events of Armageddon happen and he no longer possess kamidogu and he is at base. And after shao Kahn’s defeat in mk3 Shinnoks defeat in mk4 and onagas in deception they are all a shadow of their former selves but a base kahn w.o the millions of souls he had in mk3/mk9 or w.o blazes power was enough to end onagas life. Sad to say but apparently a base shao kahn was proven to be stronger than a base onaga at this point it was to show shao kahn did rise beyond onaga after his death. Shinnok is the only main boss stronger than those two naturally. He is an elder god. Base kahn Who is his mk2 power level self defeated a base onaga in Armageddon and a powered up shao kahn in mk9 which is mk3 basically mk3 Kahn still was killed by the elder gods. Shinnok is an elder god and he himself almost won and narrowly lost to the elder gods and raiden in a war that destroyed entire races and worlds. Meanwhile a powered up kahn who already surpassed a base onaga couldn’t win against raiden and elder gods in mk9 when shinnok only narrowly was defeated barely in the cannon mklore that revolves around Shinnoks story and his plot to take over all the realms and his eventual banishment which happened bfr mk1 and whom was a far greater threat then kahn or onaga in their OWN power ever were. Shinnok has raw power at nature that is elder god level and kahn and onaga nowhere strong they were with and without amps still had to have major amps to get close or rival that power which shinnok naturally had. He is naturally the superior villain. Even onaga himself understood this when he temporarily served shinnok in Armageddon. This was cannon and it did happen however brief. His amulet he created himself to infuse a huge bulk of his full elder god power within so the elder gods cannot completely strip him of it. Onaga and kahn nor Quan chi or Shang tsung cannot fully tap into its power because it is merely a vassal that contains Shinnoks own full elder god power within which is why he’s extremely powerful with it and so weak without it and why when other villains possess it it doesn’t really amp them too much bcuz only shinnok can tap into it 100% since it’s HIS OWN power

I don't think Onaga was evil I see him as a powerful ruler who wanted immortality but was corrupted by the one being corruption since order real liked the way he ruled oddworld through order and law he might had been a good but stern emperor who might had served his people since he revive his soldiers to enforce his law while Shao kahn kills his servants for failure and was very chaotic with his rule on oddworld
