      Not to take away from her achievement, but little kids are able to hang a lot longer. In videos where trained adults try to out hang children they always lose. A skinny child who trains grip should be able to hold for 7-10 min (watch other hang challenge videos). This is because strength does not even scale to weight. The best pound for pound lifters are always small for a reason. A 4x body weight deadlift is physically impossible for a 400 pound strongman.

      At some point humanity acquired a mutation which nerfs out muscle strength, probably to reduce caloric needs to survive two ice ages. A silverback gorilla, for example, can lift ten times its own body weight over its head without straining. In a small number of human beings, this mutation is switched off in a condition called muscular hypertrophy, making them as strong as human beings are _supposed_ to be. Children with the condition have massively muscular physiques without effort, and usually grow up to become famous, record-breaking athletes.
      Muscular hypertrophy takes two forms. The first form involves more muscles fibres per square centimetre, making the muscles much stronger than is normally humanly possible. The second form, however, involves the muscles storing much more ATP and processing it much more efficiently, so rather than having large, bulky muscles, the person has incredible endurance, able to do things like run marathons or -- as in this case -- hang by the arms for literally inhuman lengths of time.

    • @DJ-ru4im
      @DJ-ru4im Год назад

      @@NoJusticeNoPeace it has actually been proven that old conceptions of ape strength is incorrect. Chimpanzee muscle power output is approximately 1.35x higher. Due to their smaller size, larger humans actually stronger than chimpanzees. Chimpanzees higher output is largely due to their muscles being composed of a higher proportion of fast-twitch muscle (used for lifting and anaerobic efforts) at the expense of slow-twitch muscle which humans evolved because that's how we hunted prey. Humans can outrun any animal on the planet, and that is how some African tribes still hunt. All humans have variations in the proportion of fast and slow twitch muscle which is why some are genetically predisposed to marathons or lifting. Your gorilla statistic (lifting 10 times their bodyweight over their head) is complete nonsense. Finally, myostatin related muscular hypertrophy genetic disorder has nothing to do with chimpanzees or previous versions of human genetic code

For pullups, the taller guy will have to lift more weight and do more ROM for each rep, but for rows, the longer ROM actually benefits the energy output, and body weight suddenly has no impact anymore.
