"Captain Could've RC, the quest for the world's fastest Rival MT8 sounds like an exhilarating journey! 🚗💨 I'm on the edge of my seat already. Can't wait to see the speed and precision in action. Subscribed for the thrill ride! 🏁👊 #RCAdventures #SpeedQuest"
Great vid. Loved the start. Could I hear you singing as the car pulled up? Hahaha!!! Great run fella. My new bits should arrive before weds for my next attempt!! Great series idea dude. 🔥
Yup you sure did hear that. 😆 🤣 Glad you like the little series idea. Figured if I'm going to try, might aswell give myself room to grow and learn. Bigger motor, higher discharge batteries and pinions for later on in the series too.
Currently just running a corally kyron 2050kv with a stock 10t pinion. Max8 esc. Will be gearing up in phase one of this. Also will be adjusting suspension and tuning diffs. Gotta put thicker fluid in the center to help prevent the wheelie at higher speeds. All the power kept going to front diff after about 45mph. Then in phase 2 I'll drop a bigger 4274/2200kv motor in it and go from there. Got plenty of decent cooling fans when I'm ready for it. Nothing special, just a bunch of 30mm rocket fans, but they work darn well.
As of now I'm researching wheels. Need to find something belted with majestic traction. Not satisfied with the belted tires I got previously. I've completely changed gearing too. Now running 44t spur gear, which also allows for a much bigger pinion. Also waiting on better weather. These Cali winter storms get a little long. Getting hit by 2 week long storms, back to back.
Captain can you tell me the replacement rear turnbuckles for the mt8 ? I seen it somewhere I think it’s a tekno part number It’s time to replace the factory ones !
I do not use the tekno. I use the arrma 5mm version. They're thicker and stronger. You'll need to bore out the stock holes with a 4.5mm drill bit to accept and you'll never bend one on the ever again. Part number ARAC9392 I would get 2 sets to do both front and rear uppers. For steering links I use the 5x65mm from arrma. Part number ARA330602

great intro but why's the shadow speaking to me? 😁
great run bro..perfect spot
keep going champ
fast stuff :)
I got my work cut out for me on this one.
70-80 mph off road with this car might be optimistic 😆
if you're speedrunnin', rely on the cooling system you already have in it, change the gearing up. what are you running now?

I'd like to see a tarmac speed run.
