      @@kyurei4478 I disagree. While it's true that Ni users absolutely avoid small talk, Ne is more open to talk about ANYTHING, and we can turn small talk into a meaningful conversation in a second. I think all N types are equally interested in deep topics, just in a different way. Now, if you categorize crazy connections and fantasies as "less meaningful", then Ne is less meaningful. I think that deepness is not related to de introversion or extraversion of iNtuition; but is more about the introversion of the first function (INFPs, INFJs, INTJs and INTPs tend to be much more deep than ENFPs, ENTPs, ENFJs and ENTJs). But it always depends on the person, totally. I've met super aware and introspective ENFJs and ENFPs.

      INFJ - They don't ignore it. They just think your view is biased because it's produced by emotional trauma so in their view it is linked to the subject because it is the actual reason you have this opinion.

    I'd like to point out that I think we ISTP's can and would talk a lot about topics we are invested in. It is just most of the time we are stuck in conversations we do not particularly care about, and/or which have nothing to do with our current interests. So diverting the topic will not make sense and most likely not worth the effort, staying in silence is a lot easier. It is also possible that we have strong opinions on either the topic or the speaker, but our heightened "social skills" (e.g.: "they probably would not like if I told them that what they are saying is factually wrong on many levels and they are dumb af" ) makes us rather stay silent.

      I'm sorry about your bad childhood. But just FYI not everyone who is not an INTJ falls for the marketing techniques you're talking about, I'm ESTJ and I often hear ads and wonder, do people actually buy the product because they heard this ad? Apparently. It's good for people to be wary of that because that's also how some people get scammed. But it's also good to know your audience and not annoy people if they're clearly not interested because that's a waste of your time and they might even be more inclined to disagree with you.

    • @richardmartin7904
      @richardmartin7904 11 месяцев назад

      @@sarahberkner No one escapes manipulation. The manipulation is subtle and deep and specifically targets subconscious desires people are not consciously aware of. Our masters have tons of data going back to 1920's. Knowledge (spanning physics, psychology, mathematics, data science, statistics, psychotherapy, biology, chemistry, agricultural science, neuroscience), and endless human experimentation (some of which was done on WWII vets) to make sure our imaginations are limited and we are unable to rebel in any meaningful way.
      INTJs are quite vulnerable to missing how easy they can be to manipulate because they think they can see through the propaganda. They believe the knowledge they have accumulated is unbiased and true. They believe they see the world objectively missing that there has not been a time, for at least 4 generations, that has been possible.

    INTJ- I not only have literally said those very things, I have become an herbalist and have vowed to never voluntarily go to a doctor again. I have healed from supposedly lifelong illnesses because I dare to question the established way. Also I have very valid points to support my position, due to years of medical gaslighting and dismissal. Not doing it anymore. Yes I have childhood trauma but also there is an extremely valid point in what she says.

My annoyance with them is rarely about them wanting to talk to me or distracting me (that's actually the part I like the most about them), it's how easily they get distracted, change topic or otherwise can't keep track of the things they said or that I said.

    As a young INTJ, I find such situations as very hurting. When I open up to someone and they say something like that, I don't feel taken seriously. And than I think that I will open up to noone in the future. It takes time until I find the courage to open up to someone new.

    INTP finds a secret cave, where they can be alone and uninterrupted, and proceeds to fill it with all manner of books and knickknacks.
    ENFP discovers the cave, and assumes this amazing library and all the toys must've been made by the INTP so they could SHARE it with SPECIAL people, like THEM.
    INTP, being conflict avoidant, just tries to learn to tolerate the ENFP's presence, hoping they'll wander off, distracted by a firefly or something...

    INTP's CAN hold deep conversations, when they're one-on-one, and the other person actually wants to hear what the INTP has to say and wants to explore possibilities... unfortunately, in my experience, while initially saying they're interested, once I go "too deep", I'm accused of "thinking about things too much", or "thinking I know more than they do" about a topic, and it generally doesn't end well... so I keep my thoughts to myself, and remind myself of how poorly things went, when I'm tempted to talk again, in the future. (only to try again anyway, with someone I trust actually wants to hear what I have to say, only for them to shut me down or dismiss what I have to say.)
