  • In this video, I demonstrate how to walk in step when using a white cane. This is an important safety skill for someone who is blind or visually impaired and uses a white cane. Please feel free to like and share this video with others.

    Hi Mike - thanks again for these ace videos. I’m a trustee of a couple of guide dog charities in Europe and a UK guide dog user.Currently without a guide dog and using a long cane - joo jab having had 35 hours of refreshing training. Just to say that your videos lift me thank you. Hard times.

    All I got to say is I love your demonstration ! Late comment but meh, but I’m visually impaired, can’t see out of my left eye and my right eye isn’t good when I take my glasses off. I recently got one of the canes because they said there is a possibility that I could lose my sight in my right eye so I’d rather practice!

    I've been following you on IG for a while. Just realized you had a RUclips. This video is excellent described especially for those with little to no vision. I've enjoyed your IG content because I've been legally blind my whole life, but haven't had formal O&M training yet. I didn't even realize I could use a cane until I was 18, and it took even longer to realize how much I really did miss in my environment. I was meant to start official training before social distancing started, so I'm excited to get that in the books in the next few months (hopefully). 👍🏻

    Hi mike,I do the same thing with my white cane in my edmonton city and I am experienced using my cane.But the only problem that I cave with using my cane is using it on the sidewalk by my deplex,the cracks and large chips on the sidewalks is a tripping hazzard and it is fall in my city area,too late for the city to fix them,this month In october we are getting our first light snowfall
