Thank you very much for bringing up this topic today. I can relate to it a lot because I have it on both feet. You just have to buy specific shoes that are comfortable to wear. Standing and sitting is a big issue for me. 🙏🤝
This was very interesting. I was diagnosed with plantar fasciitis almost 2yrs ago. I have had flat feet my entire life so at 55yrs old and post menopausal, I had no idea menopause can affect this. I have so many othernissues due to my flat feet that I have to just live with and deal with. I am going to a chiropractor who has helped me to manage the aches and pains cause by my flat feet. I also stretch a lot and I am on HRT. I heard collagen helps some but I have not tried that yet. I now fo to the chiropractor only once a week. I was in so much pain in October thay it affected my quality of life. The pain made me feel old and cranky because I hurt so much. I have my days where I do too much, so I also must be mindful of how much I do. I am active and on my feet most of they day.... I also do 30min of stretching to keep my muscles and my body from getting too tight.
Calcaneal bursitis too. The pain...oh, my... My left heel has been killing me for 12 years. And that's how long I've been sleeping with my left foot out of the bed for. MRI shows nothing. 😢
I have been dealing with this for the past 2 years, so it's chronic for me. I love running and this is a huge problem. Feels like I am stepping on glass.. ouch! I find that stretching my hamstring and calf muscles before exercise does help, but often I have to postpone my run. I avoid standing for long periods of time.. I have a standing desk, so I switched to sitting position. I am a huge advocate of chiropractic adjustments and acupuncture.. it helps! Good luck all! XOXO
Hope this improves for you. A book which may be of benefit is Thriving over 50 by Will Harlow, he's a physio and book is all about specific exercises to help everything! Best Wishes Eileen
Grateful for this video as I'm dealing with left foot heal and calf pain now feels inflammed and strained. Going yo book a GP apt but they never take me seriously Thank you Eileen x
You're welcome! It might be better to see a Podiatrist as they specialise in feet and you're likely to get better treatment there as well! Best Wishes Eileen
I was hoping you would talk about the actual arch of the foot, but I didn’t hear that being addressed. That is where I am having issues, in my right foot. There is an actual bump that developed on the top of my foot, where it arches at the apex point. I had an x ray and everything was fine, so it’s quite confusing. Thank you.
That is a bit of a puzzle! Have you seen a podiatrist rather than a doctor? They specialise in feet and may have a better idea as to what is happening with you Best Wishes Eileen
I have a question for you. I' have not had periods regularly for about a year now just like I started today and hadn't had a period for 3 months. I feel terrible and have had no energy lately at all. Plus my feet have been sweating that's not happened since high school from running in gym class! Why am I doing this?
Hi This kind of scenario often indicate the approach to the menopause; periods can come and go for quite a while before they stop for good, but if you are worried at all then please do speak to your doctor Best Wishes Eileen
@AvogelCoUk Thank you so much for the information. There is nothing I am worried about I just thought it was odd my feet were sweating all of a sudden. I feel better now.knowing that it is the beginning of menopause. I can't thank you enough for responding to my message. Thank you!
OMG, what a timely video.. I’m going through the arch and heel pain .. thanks so much ❤

I’ve this issue before due to bone spurs. I switch my sandals to the brand Schol with supporting inner sole arch.
That's a great tip, thanks you, I forgot about them! :)
