Fantastic vlog Jo! Your friendly positive energy is like a magnet ~ attracting the loveliest people. I love the story of the mortuary - to theatre - to synagogue transition of that pretty building. Seeing that and your marital home was certainly a trip down memory lane. I think it's important to have these 'dips' into the past. The past is a strange dynamic thing that we sometimes have to revisit and then re-slot back into our present again, like a piece of jig-saw (all very philosophical for a Sunday morning!). Your wrestle with that enormous hairdryer was entertaining! ~ it was almost the size of garden leaf-blower! I dont know why manufacturers make them so industrially large. I always now use a travel hairdryer as they're much smaller & easier to use x

I trained as a Yuko System stylist nearly 20 years ago!! That treatment conditioner was one of the best I’d ever come across. It features a special water with a smaller molecule, so it enters into the hair!
Also use start the blow dry off and put Velcro rollers in it. It’s easier ;) xx

I totally get your mixed emotions Jo.. my Satnav last week at work was either possessed or just playing tricks on me.. it took me to my past 3 different times but all concerned to my ex and the start of my journey becoming a mother. Each place I went past gave me feelings that either gave my physical pain or total joy..at one point my heart hurt.. But I wouldn't change any of it.. you look beautiful by the way. I use Velcro rollers - £3.99 in Superdrug for 6! You can use them on dry hair, spray a bit of product on, leave for 10 mins and then boom- you have hair with height and volume!
Exactly-I have the same hair, same color and length an I can’t reproduce the professional blow dry, but Velcro curlers for 10 minutes after it dries and it lasts. Simple.
So important to mention eye health. Thank you for that.
I tell you every week but your vlogs bring me so much joy. Also, as a divorced woman, my marriage also brings up emotions, it’s a beautiful thing.

Do you remember Cyrano's in Hampstead. Many's a late night there in the veggie restaurant impromptu night sing alongs into the early hours with locals that had just got home from acting on various stages in the west end. I remember Elizabeth Taylor, Richard Burton, Dudley Moore, Peter O Toole, Helen Shapiro, Earl Okin, & Cat Stevens, to name but a few?
Jo you’re such a breath of fresh air. You exhaust me lol, but I adore you nonetheless for it. I used to live and work in London but have lived overseas for nearly 3 decades now. Watching you visit the different places is hugely nostalgic.

Ruth Crilly introduced me to a Babyliss curling brush and it is very good. It combines the brush with the heat and is reasonably priced.

Loved the vlog Jo, how lovely of the decorator to show you around the Synagogue, great to hear the story about Margo Fonteyn. Try a Babyliss Flawless volume (or any hot air styler) much easier than brushes and hairdryer, just blow dry upside down first then use the styler to smooth out. I think you looked fabulous as always! xx

Hi Jo, have you thought about a blow drying brush? Dyson do one and there are many, many other brands that make them ( have a look online. Some of them get unbearably hot so research is important). I have one and it has made life easier… (I also have the same hairdryer too, I bought in 1996! It has never broken down.

It is a Buddhist centre now and she showed me the original theatre, stage and tiered boxed seating was all still there intact, and preserved. Wonderful!

Great vlog Jo. Love going on memory lane trips myself. Try a Babyliss Big Hair but the smaller version perhaps for hair. I can’t do brushes and dryers either but this is two in one.
Thanks for showing us round Hampstead. I use to go to New End school in the 70's and love that area. Love the Duke of Hamilton Pub, it was a stop off after a walk on the heath with Greyhounds and friends, the carpet made it boney dog friendly, but they removed the carpet😔The guy walking out of F&M could of held the door open for you🙄 And JRMogg not tipping sums the guy up completely. For blow drying your hair, which is as fine and flyaway as mine, you might like to try a revolving hair drying brush by Vidal Sassoon. It is absolutely amazing and life changing for me and I’ve got my sister on to one now and she also loves it. The brush is the size of your bigger brush in this Vlog. Hope that helps!!😊

I can’t blow dry either can I suggest you look into one of those brushes that have a dryer built in
Revlon and babyliss do one means only holding 1 appliance smooths and builds body all at once
Velcro rollers are great too for adding volume at the crown
Anyway I’m sure you’ll crack it
