    In theory, i think it is possible to train AI to manage and create state machines.

      i agree but first we need to develop human reasoning about the proper way to do that. there's an intro to that at 27:00

    Man, I'd kill to be able to play with this; just imagining all the arbitrary constraints we could incorporate into the utility function and the animations that would come out is boggling my mind. The future's going to look very dynamic, when we can control characters with such fidelity.

      you can play with this now. take motion, segment, pose compare, build state machine. it's all simple, there's just a lot of it
