can we take a sec to notice that peniel is wearing the same outfit he wore in kingdom during the dance meet up. idk if he did both on the same day but if he did then go peniel like that must be tiring.
I love that BM has no filter. And there's no chance of anything coming out about his past because he's so open about things he's done. The fact that he just openly talked about him being a delinquent (getting put in handcuffs for stealing), that's speaks volumes and was brave considering how judgy Korean Society is.
LXX has a point, I think most of us had that moment in our lives when mom isn't even a friend, because of the age, our behavior or any reason, but after that whit the pass of the years and obviously when you get older she becomes one of the best friends you would ever have!! And that's the moment when you broke up the barriers and started acting like two humans, no lies just communication❤️ thanks guys I really enjoyed this episode 👍🏼 BTW, Peniel you look tired get some rest hahahaha
35:35 YES we feel the vibes. honestly hearing LXX share about his relationship with his mom was so refreshing and encouraging. a pov that is both sweet and mature
Welcomeeee, there's no exit now If you're interested you can watch Ashley's RUclips channel, hear BM's group (K.A.R.D) and Peniel group (BTOB) and all that to know them better
Lxx describing his relationship with his mom is encouraging. I think I’m in that stage where my mom and I are very connected it’s a bit difficult- but hearing that there’s redemption at one point brings me hope!
I started watching these a month ago and I'm obsessed... I don't have the time to just listen/watch and do nothing so I normally listen when I'm writing notes, brushing my teeth everyday, walking somewhere far, cleaning my room etc and it just makes me feel not alone and happy
The way LXX looks at Ashly throughout the episode... It's cute u can tell he admires her.. I'm not trying to say anything but.. He really cares about her.. And when she turns to look at him he quickly looks away.. It's so cute... Love him
Yeah I feel my mom has a soft spot for my brothers too, I'm not even the eldest, nor the eldest daughter, but she relies on me a lot and has me help a lot compared to my brothers. She does spoil me but not to the same degree. But I think it's because they kinda stupid, I wouldn't even trust them with a truth, let alone a secret
Been waiting for this full video of this episode though I already listened to it on podcast. It’s still different when I see their facial expressions. 😃 Shout out to BM’s, Peniel’s, Ashley’s and Alex’s mom for raising great & talented kids like you guys. Your experiences growing up is so relatable. It makes me remember how I was growing up too. I’m an adult now but since I’m the youngest in the family my mom will forever look at me as her baby. I guess all moms are like that.😃❤️
Depending on what you already know about your mom, I've found a good way to find out more about her as a person is to ask her if she remembers the first time she ate or drank something outside of the culture she grew up in. For instance, I've asked my mom the first time she had various staple American foods. Another good one is the first movie she remembers watching in a movie theatre.
I can absolutely relate to Ashley. Though I'm the younger one. My mom treats my older brother like a younger one and I feel like I'm the older sibling. It's crazy. I'm closer with my dad and now she probably realized that because of that I've built this wall and only my dad can go through it. It's hard. I tried when I was a teen, but it's always my brother who's the golden child. Now she gets jealous of my dad.
moms do treasure sons a lot more and eldest daughter(s) is usually the one she rely on or is punching bag, thats me, she spoiled my brother with expensive computers, go to malls just to get a spesific kind of shoes my brother wants, and call me mean when im mad at my brother and i cant even get my ac fixed and she calls me stupid in front of her colleagues :/ she would say nicely ask help from my brotber to do chores but would order me while yelling and she had the audacity to say i get angry alot
Lol same. When my brother had a cold, my mom went out buying him soups and meds and taking care of him while when I got gastroenteritis she just left me to take care of myself haha. My dad helped me out when he saw me sprawled next to the sink, dehydrated 😂
Same as my mother. She would beat me to a pulp, kind of ignore my younger sister and shower my younger brothers with attention and love. I’m a mom myself now, and I still wonder whether I’m adopted if I’m a child outside of my parents’ marriage. She still loathes me to this day.
I found out that my grandpa and grandma on my mother's side were not blood related very late maybe when i was in high school. But I love them like my own grandparents. My mom got adopted. And then 2 years ago when i travelled in Cambodia to meet my relatives. I asked my uncles and aunties why does my mom was separated from them because they are all together (during the genocide in Cambodia). They explained everything to me. I learned so much long story. But they thought my mom was dead when she tried to flee away from soldiers to cross the Thailand frontier. So from 1979 to 1984 they thought my mom was dead but she went to Thailand and stay there in a refugee camp (where she met my dad and my non blood related grandparents) and then went to Indonesia in another refugee camp. After that they were able to go to France. That's when she was able to send letters to Cambodia with pictures of herself to find her family. That's really crazy. She never told me that 😱😭 It was a painful moment for her and my mom is very silent about her past life. But yeah now I'm a grown up person. Sometimes also i think about all the times I disrespect her or was not nice. I try to to be kind and offer a lot especially during this pandemia 🙏❤️ She's been through a lot. Love you mommy
To all single parents I salute you. Once you start the adulting life you'll begin to fully appreciate how hard life is and how much your parents sacrificed for you.
I relate to Ashley I’m more of a daddy’s girl I’m his baby (even tho I have a younger sister as well) my mom does see me as more dependable but her favorite is my brother and he is the actual baby.
I really enjoyed how open they are about their lives and experiences. It makes it very relatable for anyone listening bc of the variety between the 4 of them. My mom was definitely the type that would be like the FBI on my friends and their parents before I even got to play at their house. My parents were scary lol but I thank them now bc I didn’t know the world was dangerous as a kid.
37:07 that's my mom but 'get married' version She stopped saying 'get married already' when I had my first boyfriend (in my twenties too) haha and around that time she started saying 'go buy us a house/don't get married soon'. 🤣
Strangely it's my dad who wants me to get MARRIED at the age of 25 😂 (maybe bc he wants grandkids so badly) but guys I'm almost 23 and I'm single since born 😂😂
I'm not sure if it helps but on the topic of playing video games and learning/teaching how to play games, Mass Effect is quite a difficult game to start with, although I do appreciate that they thought their mum would love the sci fi element! 😊 If you'd like some recommendations, I would recommend Spyro Reignited Trilogy, its super fun and a great game no matter your age! The same goes for Journey. And if you're feeling brave, just go for it! Playstation controllers I find are much easier to learn to use, but Nintendo switch is also user friendly? I've always struggled with xbox controllers however. I also recommend PlayStation Access or PlayFrame on RUclips, they're family friendly, but also super funny, and you can see all manner of games and get an idea of what you might like to play? Or what someone else might like to play? I hope this might help? I hope everyone is well, and thank you for reading this 😊❤️
To that second user who's trying to teach their mom how to play video games, I would say get her a game with a really simple control like Animal Crossing or farming simulation like Story of The Seasons. Coz I think getting her into Mass Effect is a pretty huge jump especially for someone who's never held a controller in her life before. Actually, the most important thing is to ask her if she enjoy it. If she does enjoy playing it, you should leave her be and let her figure things out, only help her when she asks. Because some people can still enjoy playing games even if they sucked at it and at the end of the day, that's the most important thing. You're not training your mom to be a pro or anything like that so don't get stressed out about it too much.

To all single parents I salute you. Once you start the adulting life you'll begin to fully appreciate how hard life is and how much your parents sacrificed for you.

The way Ashley says “though” as “doe” is so cute 🥰
they're all so cute, specially the part they started talking about the parent-children relationship during the period of first days of maturity hehe
