Peniel’s hatred for school/math is probably the most emotion I’ve ever seen him show aside from laughing.
Lol my ex kind of had Peniel's personality. He was never able to be emotionally vulnerable with me and tbh it led to a lot of disconnect and lack of emotional intimacy in the relationship.
BYEEE, LMAO
@@indecisiveCHIBI I'm confused cuz isn't people like that introverts, then why is Peniel extrovert
@@benndarayta9156 Nah, you can be extroverted but not emotionally aware vulnerable lol. There's a difference between sharing factual events and feelings regarding those events.
that's not at all what intro/extroversion is about. It's about whether you get energy from being around people or not @@benndarayta9156
every time Ashley mentions a birhtday Peniel's brings that basement LMAO
The amount of times I have heard of that basement. It must have left such a strong impression on him. Lol!
Because he got to smack those buns in that basement 😂
@@natedang8880 remember, it’s the *hair buns*
I'm guessing it's the buns story.... I just hit play on the episode
omg hahahaha i forgot about that story 🤣🤣🤣 yeah right!
Denise being the embodiment of Gen Z and so relatable for 1 hour straight 😭😭
Denise being ashley's child in this episode 😭 it's so cute Ashley saying she doesn't want her to get hurt
Denise has grown so much maturity wise in just 2 years. I remember being first introduced to Denise on Eric's podcast. She's awesome. I wish her lots of success in Uni.
Up
Her family got her back.
They got a lot of money.
Don't worry.
THAT'S. WHY. I SAY. ALL THE FREAKING TIME. MY GIRL ASHLEY. NEEDS ANOTHER GIRL WITH HER!!!!!! this episode was soooooo different because we had a back up for our girl ashley who's always fighting for her life lmao
until 58:31 😂
Ashley handles herself and the guys are pretty nice
junny and denise’s relationship is actually so cute :(( they’re two of my fav people in the korean world, so seeing junny be such an older brother to her makes me so happy
Denise is so eloquent. I can understand why her podcast is doing great. She is so insightful. She always knows what to say.
I really relate to the growing up too fast and once you’re an adult you feel like you’re stuck at a certain young age. And, missing the time to be a kid is now messing with you and you don’t know how to be an adult. And, it feels safer to be more child like at the same time
And for kids who started school earlier than others or started their career earlier than others. Once you get older and the mindset finally matches your actual age u feel like now you’re “late” because you’re so used to being ahead of others. I feel the pressure to be fast and be ahead
So true
Denise is my bias in Secret number before. It's so sad when she departed but I'm happy she's doing great and pursing college!
I think leaving Secret Number and that company was the best thing for Denise. She has matured so much since then. Going back to school is great.
1st time hearing Denise speak & I am so impressed and jealous of how eloquently she's able to speak. I can never talk with such fluid. I am forever stammering with plenty of self doubt
It's so good to see Denise expressing herself like that. As my former secret number bias I'll always suport and love her no matter what. Good luck girl we're here with you forever 💜💜
"Man I don't even know what I'm doing tomorrow" - Peniel
Sammeeeee 🤣🤣🤣
I feel like Denise is a genuine person and she really knows how to talk. She already talks a lot without the host asking her, idk sometimes it’s a good and bad thing but way to go Denise!😂
This is by far the most bro-friendly-dude-best episode I've seen here. This TRULY feels like an old group of friends met and they picked up from where they left. Oh My God
Love this ep with denise!! Hope we can get mark & johnny on dive too!!
ohh that mark and johnny energy would be wild with the dive cast. Hope we can get that.
Same for Chris and felix from Stray Kids
dive studios pls
PLEASEEEEEE
@@AntoninaNapoli Well Eric did an episode with them already, but I'm assuming you mean a Get Real episode too
Peniel annoying Ashley is such a mood 😂
"I'm a giver, I give up" that killed me haha
denise is just delightful. i've always liked her a lot. i was bummed that she wasn't going to be on ashley's radio show any longer, but i'm glad they finally brought her on get real!
good luck at school denise!
For her age, she's very well spoken ☺️
Kind of love that Denise left Secret Number. Yes it’s harder on her but she get to show more about herself. ❤
I love all the MCs. They can do no wrong.
LOOVVEEDD this episode. denise had such a profound conversation with the hosts. felt very relatable and realistic to just mental health and mindset struggles that people go through. denise articulated herself so amazingly, please come back again!
The second I saw "Get Real" and "Denise" in the title, I choked on my dinner and then clicked on the thumbnail as soon as I finished dying. 🤣
I’m a math major and I’m taking a class about the history of mathematics and literally in class today we were talking about the Pythagorean theorem and how it’s the most commonly used example of “why do I need to learn math” by non math people. The timing of Peniel bringing it up is uncanny 😂
Yet most non math people know what it is 😂
@@natedang8880 Maybe becaues we're frustrated that the only thing we were able to remember isn't something we can use😂
Learning math..means…to make you think…Denise is an idiot…
Junny genuinely enjoyed this episode, great chemistry with Denise❤❤
Dude I noticed that they look good together
@@bubbles8270 you can say that againnnn
Denise in secret number reminded me so much of Ashley when she was in ladies code. I guess they had a similar aesthetic in their groups. I’m so glad they are friends ❤
I'm 23, and I'm just now in the last year of my Bachelor degree, I still have to do a Master for my formation to be complete, and if everything goes well, I'll be 25... Yet, I don't feel bad because I've worked already, and I have learning disabilities. I do things at my own pace, and they'll turn out the way they do... it's okay
Yeah just keep going. Everything will be fine . I am going through a very stressful time too ..final year and sitting for job interviews and all but I am still hoping for things to turn out at its best . Hope we all do well .
TEXAS GIRL IS BACK! we deffo need Denise more often on DIVE baby!
I’m in my 30s and all my friends now are friends I made in college ten years ago. It’s so diverse (usually) and not clique-y like in high school. You really do make great connections and find people who will stick by you for a lifetime. Have fun and enjoy every moment of it!!
They should get Denise in the show as a host. She got a great talk and vibe
i love how they were giving her advice and looking out for her 🥰
Miss you Denise ❤️
I have life-long friends from college. We don't talk every day, but as soon as I plan to visit (since we don't live in the same country), they take time to hang out with me and it is as if time has not gone by. I think we will be friends until our 60s. My mom also has 2 friends from uni. So yes you should really socialize, because it gets harder later to make good friends!
Denise is so mature & eloquent I was pleasantly surprised. I don't really know much about her & just clicked on this episode because I genuinely just love Get Real. Didn't even know what imposter syndrome was before this & now that I do, I'm fairly sure that I have it rip🤡
Anyways, hoping only for the best for Denise's future endeavours & her college adventure! You got this❤️
Denies and Ashely are giving sister energy 💜😂
Good job Denise for doing great till now... I'll always support you no matter what happens! Forever Trulys 💖
Ashley and Peniel: “You dont use trig”
Me: been using it everyday for the past 2 years
loved hearing all these life updates from denise 🥺 so happy and excited for her to come back to the states and start another chapter of her life, rooting for you girl!!
I loved this Get Real! Denise had me nodding my head at the things she was saying. She a queen fr.
I totally relate with the part where Denise said that she was always pretty ahead of her peers and so now she feels lost abd overwhelmed.
I also had the same experience growing up, I was younger than most of my friends so I was ahead of my actual peers, I did well in school and even topped my school and state in my highschool finals.
And then fast forward to when i decided to take the pre med exams and everything started going downhill. (It still is haha)
Couldn't make it in my first attempt (2021), took a year gap to study a little more and try again. 2022, gave the exam again, didn't make it through again. Took another year gap with my self confidence on an all time low, especially with someone who measures her self worth by her academic achievements. 2023 and I have my exams coming up in a few months and idk what and where I'll be at the end of this year if I don't get through again but yeah, wish me luck :D
P.S. Junny looks so much like Coups in some angles lol
Hey I had pretty much the same experience.I graduated in 2019 and then had 3 attempts to get into medical university (you can only try once a year in my country) and this year I finally got accepted. So don’t worry! We got this
Love the way Denise talk and think. It's so insightful! Thanks a zillion to all of you who made this podcast more fascinating. Best luck! ❣️
I really love Denise's episode. Thank you for having Denise kim here 🖤🦋
i always love how denise talks so fast but it's so enjoyable to hear
I can relate so much to all of the feelings Denise expressed about her age. I turned 21 this year and it feels a little unreal.
Yaayyy! An update. Thank you. I really love and envy the friendship of ashley and peniel. More power to your channel and podcast!! Love from the Philippines ❤
thankyou for having denise!!!! I've been waiting for so long to see her in get real aaahh
Go girl 🔥enjoy your new chapter of your life Denise and can't wait to hear your music more 🖤🦋
I really enjoyed seeing Denise on the podcast, I loved this episode! It was super chill and reminded me of the first episodes lol
I love how Denise is the English kpop community’s literal baby
it's so wholesome to see them having a conversation in english
Also I loved the chemestry amongst the group. It would be awesome if Denise was a set host, but ofc she must go to college lol Sending good vibes her way! I personally loved college and I hope she does too!
So HAPPY to see Denise again 🤩😍
This was a good episode. I thoroughly enjoyed and empathized with each part. Best wishes in your endeavors Denise. 💚
Ashleyyy Don't be so hard on yourself .. Your future will shinee u are amusing 🤗🤗 so real, relatable keep going like this❤❤
So happy Ashley is back! Totally love Junny! He’s too cute!😘😘
I was feeling soo down today, i don't know how to even explain it ..but you really saved me ..i love you guys soo much 💖
Gosh I miss her so much! She is my bias in SN and I've never heard of her until NOW!
Ďenise and junny doggy play date is cute I swear they sound like parents..🤣🤣🤣
Deniseeeee my gurl, i just wanna say that it's totally okay if u got in to uni a lil bit late cuz me too!! Im actually 3 years older than most of my classmates (here in indonesia they have age regulation tho) i feel u, but for me it's totally worth it. theres no such thing like "too late" if u want to learn, im rooting for u denise 🙌
I screamed at "I'm a giver, I give up" HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
This was such an interesting episode, they talked about a lot of things i love it 💙 i will say happy New year until the new year comes for the episodes 🤭
oh my god Denise!!!!! will always support her
Denise, i love u and ur personality.. hope u always success and happy no matter u do
denise is baaaack on dive!!!
Denise is such a sweetheart, I reallyy enjoyed this episode!!
What I liked about this episode is everyone is completely themselves with Denise. I didn't even know her and now I feel like I get her somewhat. It kinda feels like when BM or Eric is there and I hope people will be excited for just these episodes where they feel like friends just talking as that's how Get Real started. Of course we will always get excited to see big names as guests as well. Great Episode 💕
Yasssssss Love when I see you guys post... Love allllllllll the way from Jamaica
Listening to this while packing my things for COLLEGE!!
oh god how good speaker is Denise! lovely girl ! achieving so much at a such a young age!
Time just went by so fast, I love this episode!
Yes the queen Denise! I have been waiting for this to happen :)
Welcome Denise
Welcome back Ashley
Hi, Junny with cool hairstyle
And thanks to winter season uri Peuni Peuni looks so good in layers 😊
44:42 damn junny took the words right out of my mouth, it's very eye-opening seeing what ashley actually thinks of herself at times
Totally feel you Denise went thru stuff in 2022 but there’s no where but up from now on
I really enjoy watching denise's conversation
meaning when Denise guest at Daebak she is only 18/19? She sounds matured there already..
Amaze how she can talk freely with them like her chingu
Omg good to see Denise again!
AHHHHH I LOVE HER TIKTOKS SHES SO GREAT
I'm starting school at 20 and will graduate around 24/25. For me not going to uni straight after high school was the best decision because i was not ready back then. Age doesn't matter. I'm much more mature now and more prepared. Like i know what to expect, to be careful of people who might be a distraction to me, also learning about finances because i learnt nothing in high school lol. I also took my break time being active. I'm majoring in design so over the 2 years i taught myself graphic design and feeding my intellect.
her ep is really great and ofc Denise looks amazing here
Junny, I am exactly the same when it comes to the "calling the waiter" thing. You are not alone.
Yay! Dragon sis! I'm so happy to see Denise on here. Love her since Secret Number. I knew she has star quality. Ha! She is the youngest yet sound so mature haha def more Peniel. 👏👏👏 wow so many accomplishments 70 songs. That is crazy. Now, going to Berklee damn. She started early now have all the time to be even better.
I’m going to graduate this year and I’m just 20. I feel so pressure and feel so old mentally compare to my friends who are older. I can not remember how my teenage life just pass by, i just work and work without rest. And after watching this, i look back at myself and I don’t know who am I. I need to enjoy my 20s from now 😢.
love denise sm! didn’t realize we had the same bday except i’m 3 yrs younger
I’m Denise fan since secret number debut. After she left I’m curious about her whereabouts finally I am glad that I got to see her here. Wherever you go whatever you do I wish you always be happy ❤
I don’t know who Denise is but she seems like a lovely and articulate young lady many blessings at Berkelee
I like this collab 🤣 a good watch!!
Denise is so gorgeous it’s unreal 😳❤️
College. As someone who graduated early, here's some things I WISH I would've known, done differently, or realized. And this coming from someone who switched majors three times before settling on Mass Communications with a minor in Art.
- Explore as many organizations or clubs as you can, and start early. As much as I kept seeing the same people in my major throughout the years, it's the clubs and org's where I really found my niche interests, and met some of my closest friends. Like, I volunteered at my college radio station, and was also part of an org that combined community outreach with Hip Hop. Still, it wasn't until my final semester that I found even more org's I WISH I would've known about sooner and joined.
- Age is irrelevant as far as when you start school, or when you complete it. I was taking beginner art classes with people that were in their late teens, mid-twenties, 30's, and some in their 40's with kids, but we were all in the same boat, just trying to wake up for that 8 am, and not inhale too much of the paint fumes while waiting for a project to dry. Once met someone while outside a class that was coming back to school after advancing her career, figuring out exactly what she wanted, and came back to school to get her degree to further advance in that field. Like, age is irrelevant in college, unless you're trying to go to one of the local bars.
- If you can, get to know the professors in your major, or at least take classes with a small class capacity. It just makes it so much easier to ask questions when you're professor will probably recognize you, as opposed to looking into a sea of 100+ faces still waiting for their coffee to kick in, or debating whether they should've filled their water bottle with Everclear instead.
- I signed up for something where a grad student who was working as an advisor, we'd have meeting pretty regularly. I forget what it was called, and I definitely lucked out b/c the advisor I had was perfect for me, but def recommend. Or even if you have a really good RA (Resident Advisor) who you can talk to. I had both really good advisors and RA's, and it was nice just having someone who'd been going through it to talk to, and have them offer advice.
Sorry, very wordy, I know, but hopefully this might help someone, or at least put them at ease. Personally, college was such a HUGE step in growth for me. I ended up exploring so many creative avenues and really accomplished a lot in my short time in college, and it was such a huge boost in knowing what I was capable of. So enjoy, explore, and I hope you pass all your finals.
I really love these guys literary my eng teachers 🥰 i mostly study eng through broadcast 💯💗
Chances I might see Denise in Berkelee 😱.
Been a Lockey since debut. NO WAY
FINALLY, DENISE IN GET REAL
she has grown up , welcome to adulthood Lol
Trulys always with you
28:39 i was looking through a list of books to read and at the same time that denise said "me before you", a book called "me before you" showed up on the list and that kinda freaked me out
i’ve been wanting denise on this show for so long! i’m so happy she was here 😁
Up
I didn't know that I needed to hear this, I mean like the first minutes are just so relatable to me because I have the same fear 😹 thanks for the advice, 선배님들
I love thisss❤️❤️❤️🎉💯
I was pretty lazy laying and scrolling my youtube and dangg after look this thumbnail, i suddenly full of energy
I went to college at 17 because I was younger than most in my class 😭 8:43 I realized it was kinda common too in my area when I went to college for the first years to be 17 turning 18 due to late birthdays.
never heard about imposter syndrome, also Denise is a very good dog owner ^^
