- STEEZY had the privilege of spending time with our good friend Jackson Wang as he was finishing up his Coachella 2023 Magic Man set in rehearsals all the way to backstage on the day of his performance! The dancers, crew, and of course Jackson put SO much effort into creating this magical performance and we wanted to shine light on a bit of what happens behind the scenes!

Firstly, I wanna thanks Sean Lew for being true hearted friend for Jackson, for all the support that he really needed 🥺🙏 Secondarily, wtf is 30% you've been talking about, Mr. Jackson Wang 😑? You and a whole your team did it on 300%! Coachella performance is absolutely legendary 💯❤
I really love his performance in Coachella. He really killed it. If he thinks that it was his 30% then I think I'll die if I get to see his 100% performance.
I love Jackson's dedication to get all his works to perfection. We love all the dance choreography, the stage concept and his powerful vocals making the whole performance a top notch and spectacular.
You felt like you did 30% of what you could've done. I'm not gonna say anything differently cos you know yourself the best. If you think it was 30%, it was. You'll learn from it and you'll be better. The only thing that I don't agree is that, you made everyone proud that night Jackson. Me as nobody in your life, not even your fam, not even your Day 1 fan, was so so so proud of you. How could you think that your real fam was not proud of you 😭😭😭 I believe you made them proud that night and you make them proud every single day. You just need to allow yourself to feel this fact 🥺

Weekend 1 was great but weekend 2 was something else. Jackson let himself go completely and we could see him enjoying the stage more. And the performance ended up looking phenomenal as a result.
Sean did a fantastic job with the creative direction of the show. Had to watch it multiple times to catch all the details. It was a treat to see Jackson dancing with Kaycee, kinjaz and all the other dancers.
Love you Jackson Wang!! Never doubt yourself!! Love what Sean said at the end. I just hope Jackson is able to surround himself with good and genuine people like himself. Just want him to be happy, whatever makes him happy. ❤

I love what Sean Lew said at the end, about how Jackson is such a great human being, and deserves to be treated like one. I absolutely agree. Cos so much is demanded of him, when he's only one person. And I love the fact that Sean is very much there for Jackson as a friend (ie with him, it definitely doesn't always have to be about work). Loved this behind the scenes video, was so awesome to learn about the Coachella experience for Jackson, and I also felt really inspired by it all. Everybody worked hard and gave out 200 percents of their passion and sweat. As audiences, we watched a flawless performance. Real artists or performers like Jackson, Sean, and others are never satisfied with their work, which often comes with stress and anxiety. I hope they find a professional way from their pocket to channel their emotions before or after. Such kind of big stage won't be the last, many more will be in the future days to come.
He said he felt like he could have done better... but even only by watching this I got the same electricity in my body that I felt when I watched his Coachella' performance all the two times. Yes maybe he can improve more and more, but he's already that powerful and exceptional the way he is now, and I just hope he won't overwork himself too much ❤

It's nice to see this kind of content, kind of like-the behind scenes of greatness. I didn't know being a dancer was a profession back then, honestly didn't know what i wanted but i loved dancing but alas i didn't know it was a profession. i got into premed mainly bc my fam wants me to and my friends chose to. it made sense to me before bc i didn't know what i wanted as college course. and i feel like it's too late to be that as i'm about to enter med school. i stopped dancing long time ago but it felt wrong bc dancing was natural to me back then, like it was my good space even with the weird moves lol. idk why but i guess i stopped bc i felt like i wasn't good enough and soooo insecure with what ppl think of me and my dance skills. it got so bad that i can't dance alone without being shy like why self?! there's no one around!😭 but with this vid, it inspired me to get back at it again. it's awesome to see the team at work, especially sean and kaycee whom i've loved since they were with matt as kids learning more about dance. i mean they were good back then but now their growth and progress-it's frickin breathtaking!esp. sean now, not just coachella, having to expand his world with new concepts and choreo, that's amazing! I also only knew about jackson earlier this year and i loved him instantly and seeing this side of him and everybody on set-i kind of understand the ugly part of dancing- the anxiety and stress. I wish you all the best of the best even through ugly or bad times bc honestly these ugly times build up the beauty of what you do..like a mixture of pretty and weird/not so good looking puzzles pieces altogether making a beautiful piece or chapter in life.
