All day. I’ve thought about how excited I am to run around with Niko, Wardell and Lottie, design vacation homes and explore all the new features. I am in awh and am so excited. I can not even describe the feeling that I am feeling. Oh my god!!!!!!!!
As a longtime animal crossing fan and aomeone who has played all the english released mainline games + happy home designer, this is such a homage to the earlier games, amazing machine is an item from wild world, theres rococo furniture, cool/modern furniture i mean hospital and school and resturaunt stuff thats from happy home designer too! And ahh!!!! Tortimer isn’t dead xD. I have so much more i want to say but let me keep this simple. I cried, ik not as many people played all the old games and seeing them go what is this? New things? Cool! And then me going OMG THIS IS BACK!! It just made me smile, it filled me with so much hope. Thank you for your amazing reaction and your love for this game, if you get the time i highly recommend playing some of the other games (primarily wild world and new leaf) in the series as it shows just how far we have come and all the items returning in the dlc + some of the activities we used to do that are coming to the free update (like visiting villagers and them visiting your house and ordinances). Lots of love - Cloe
Ahhhh thank you so much for taking the time to comment this!!! I always love hearing peoples thoughts that have more experience with the older games because ive only played the first one on gamecube as a kid! This update really is insane!! Hope you have a great rest of your day!!!
I'm late to the party. I only JUST got a Switch less than 30 days ago (still waiting for that 30 days, for the Nook's Cranny upgrade). Which means it also took me this long to finally play New Horizons. I'll be honest, I'm not a megafan or anything. Only other AC game I played for an actual decent length of time was New Leaf. Played a little bit of City Folk, and about an hour of the others. And I haven't played the mobile game. But saying that, I've always LIKED Animal Crossing, just as a thing. The community's great, the game's a chill time, and New Horizons especially is great because they've added so many ways to keep a player engaged. I remember a big issue I had with New Leaf was that I simply ran out of reasons to play. The Nook Miles equivalent in New Leaf had a limited number per day, so you couldn't grind those out. There was no outside selling box so you couldn't even work on making bells at least half the day, with the lack of infinitely generating Nook Miles, you also didn't have as much that you could buy. And then there's the lack of outside decorating, and all the extra little things New Horizons added. And that's not even including the entire Paradise Planning DLC that's essentially that whole mobile game, stuffed into New Horizons, and it gives you unique stuff. NH just...has STUFF to do. In New Leaf, it got to the point, fairly quickly, where I would turn the game on when I wake up, get my money rock, check the beach, check the shops, see if there was anything I needed to do (usually not), and then turn the game off for the day. I didn't really have much that I wanted or needed to get done. And without proper outside decorating, I couldn't even just load in to decorate much. But so far, I haven't even gotten bored of New Horizons, let alone run out of stuff to do. I'm still working on building out my island. I got KK to show up already so I've been messing with the terraforming and paths, to make some areas to move all the houses to, and I've been adding paths and fences and fountains and things around. I just started going to the Paradise Planning job because these 2.0 reaction videos actually explained to me that the job gives you unlocks and exclusive stuff. I still gotta do Kapp'n's islands more, I've only gone to one, to get Brewster. Also working on adding stairs and ramps around. I dunno, there's a few things I don't like about New Horizons. Tool Durability, just how NICE the villagers are ALL the time, the fact that shops still close at night despite the fact that a huge chunk of the world works in the day and don't have time to go to shops in a video game on a set real life schedule. (But tbf, I have a modded Switch and fixed at least 2 of those things with mods.) And I know ordinances exist, or have since 2.0 at least, but there's not one to keep shops open ALL night. Maybe I wanna sell something at 3am? But despite the few flaws, it's still a REALLY fun game to just chill with.
the ordinances were a thing of animal crossing new leaf, it's great if you can only play very early in the morning or very late because shops open and close at different times
This was probably one of my favorite reactions so far. Not only were you really hype for the froggy chair (14:03), but you recovered quick enough to react to the villagers being able to invite you and BE invited, which I thought was really cool. (14:17). Nice job on making that part entertaining! Also 19:36 was really funny lol
I've only just gotten a Switch, and naturally, also just got ACNH. Loving it so far. Already got KK to come to my island, got a few house upgrades, got the Able Sister's shop. Honestly, I don't know a TON about Animal Crossing. I've technically played all of 'em, but not for very long. The only ones I put a lot of time into are New Leaf and New Horizons. City Folk I played for the longest out of the ones I played less. So, seeing as I just got into ACNH, and don't know a ton about it, seeing the 2.0 trailer actually helped a ton. I just went looking for reveal reactions for ACNH because I thought it'd be fun to watch, but ended up learning things. I didn't know the Paradise Planning job sold harder to find rarer items in their shop, I just assumed it was the normal Nook's Cranny items. And I didn't know you could unlock the catalog, or the extra build options for your main island. Honestly, I saw a lot of complaints about the mobile house decorating game's items not being in New Horizons, and I think I got it mixed up with the DLC thinking it was the 'DLC' items that weren't usable in the main game. I kinda just assumed the Paradise Planning job was just an alternative way to get items, like a 2nd Nook's Cranny without being able to sell, or a way to just have fun decorating. Didn't know it actually GAVE you things. I also had absolutely no clue there were sheds and things, or hell, even cooking. I got a nook mile thing for harvesting 3 crops, and I'm just sitting here wondering how I even GET a crop because I had no idea it was even a thing. -- Also I don't mean to sound like the wet blanket of the comments section. I did enjoy the video and the reactions, they were great. Buuuuuut.....maaaaaybe don't scream into the mic with as high a pitch voice as you possibly can. That would be amazing...
As a lifelong Nintendo fan and video game player, I think AC has the best community. Im sick of everybody complaining about every little thing in video games. Nice to see people actually enjoying things.
Ac is the best I had the tiny crown on my island I was alittle bummed that I didnt have the money for it but was like im gonna open my gates for others to get it and one of the people who came to get one also got me one that item is the second most expensive item at like 1mill bells
I literally watched the update video over and over , absolutely shocked, now I’m watching everyone’s reactions because it’s just so wholesome, I’m so happy
lol I felt so bad for how poorly Rilla was being mocked for their looks so I chose to invite them (among the 6 sanrio villagers) to my island and after a week I was like "yea. . .no."
Being able to access items from a storage shed is gonna be so useful! I was so used to dropping my materials near my crafting tables. Also, I am gonna polish all my furniture. The 2.0 update and Happy Home Paradise are providing so much content to play with!
I’m SO excited for the new update. It’s bringing so many commonly missed features, and it’s really going to get people back into ACNH. And the whole new paid DLC, WHAT?!? SO much content to enjoy! The only thing I am worried about is that they are expanding new horizons so much so quickly, so I am concerned I’ll lose the simplicity of the original game. It’s kind of worrisome that the simple, laid back game is suddenly getting so much bigger, even though it is so exciting. Anyway sorry for the paragraph, I subscribed too!
You are the ONLY person I've seen react to this accordingly!!! I didn't hear anybody scream or jump or shout when all of this amazing content was revealed!!! I really enjoyed your reaction!
I'm just so excited for the update but also so nervous I also really love your hair and just you and general because you are so adorable to me and I hardly ever say that to anyone which means I have given you rare affection compliment enjoy it
I was expecting another small update like a few new furniture items and Brewster that’s it but they gave everything we asked for 🥺 sorry for any complaint Animal crossing
