- Provided to me by Pat Connor on VHS more years ago than I can remember, this is the only If You Had Wings footage I've ever seen that contains the Speed Room's snow skiing (Canada's Laurentian Mountains) and surfing film segments.
Seeing this brings a tear to my eye because it reminds me of my late mother. This was her favorite ride at Disney World and we would ride it several times during our visits there. Thanks for the wonderful memories you brought back!
There's something beautifully haunting about those endlessly looping films accompanied by the echoey music.

I loved this ride when I was a kid. It's such a basic concept, just rolling you past projection screens in the dark, but it was so entertaining. The Imax-like projections at the end was so amazing to my child mind. It gave you that incredible moment of excitement, then calmed you down with that sedate mountains before letting you off. Great design!
Wonderful! I rode this countless times in the 1970s and 1980s. The track layout is exactly the same today for Buzz Lightyear‘s Astro Blasters today, located in the same building. This was Walt Disney World‘s answer to the Disneyland original, Adventure Through Inner Space. They were sister Attractions to each other.
