Magic! 3 of my favourite things in life, hunting, fishing and camping. Then just add good mates, decent enough weather and success and that's about as good as it gets. As always, thanks for bringing us, very much appreciated.
Oh mate, the 22wmr is my go to for a night out. Im mostly hanging around the 50-100m shots and mine is pretty bloody effective with the hornady critical defence. Would love to get my hands on some good thermals.
Extremely enjoy your videos, they are truly so engaging. Thank you. As to the Federal 50gn 22wmr load, and someone who continuously shoots foxes on my own property with various calibres, I ditched them for two reasons, their rainbow trajectory and they act as solids with their low speed and do not expand on body shots.
Thanks Steve. The 50's are certainly heavy target orientated and I 100% hear where you are coming from. The faster mid 30gr projectiles out of the 22 Mag will do the job on most vermin.
it's very surprising how small a big deer gets when its down, that and the fact that they can run for a while before they go down makes them hard to find at times
Nice video as always Steve. Don't know if you are seeing it in Victoria, but there's a lot of deer culling going on in SA using helicopters. And, apparently they are using shotguns of all things. Genuine hunters are coming across wounded animals and having to despatch them humanely. Not good mate.
@@BoltActionProductions I've tried them all. I've done a full circle and come back to 3006. I seen quite a few mature sambar stags soak up a 308 never to be found unfortunately

Very true mate. Simple life is the best life imo👌. Glad you enjoyed this little production👍
Thermal spotters can help find downed game when not visible with the naked eye in fading light!!
Certainly can along as they are used within the laws and don't get abused.
"Use it as a tool" - what a relief to hear some no nonsense no ads type of guy. Thank you !
To me that’s all it is but a pretty cool tool indeed 👍👍
Guns, fishing rods, and chainsaws! Cant beat it! Great mate!
It certainly keeps things interesting😀. Might have to include a lawn mower next time😳😂🤣👌
It’s good to see even the best stuff up occasionally Robbo, keeps us all learning, thanks mate 😊
We’d be telling fibs if we said it didn’t happen to us all. Stay well mate👍👍
Love you filming Steve thanks for sharing your love for hunting camping . Keep up the great work.
Thanks Richard. Nice to know it’s appreciated👍👍
Looks like a good time regardless of the result. Thanks for sharing. Btw, thermals are a great pest control tool for sure. Not a hunting tool
Couldn't agree more my friend. Thanks for watching.
Great video again mate. Editing is bloody awesome!
Glad you enjoyed it Dave. Cheers
Gidday, geez I wish I had them Thermal thingy's when I was trudging the hills, they make it pretty easy now ay, good luck and stay safe Cheers
Certainly a game changing tool in the right hands

Cheers mate. Will do our best.
It's always great to see good mates having a laugh together 🤓
I tend to agree John. Life's too short to take it serious.
Always a top quality production mate 👌 thanks for your content 👍
No problem Zeb👍
Beautiful property, seems to have a bit of everything going for it!!
I think so too!
Nice upload
Jim
Thanks mate

Certainly a great round with some of the newer ammo offerings 👌. Those critical defence rounds are super accurate in my little Lithgow as well👍👍
Great video shame you couldn’t find the deer but that’s hunting sometimes.
Thanks Michael. Sometimes it doesn’t go your way I’m afraid 🙄. Hard pill to swallow
Another great show mate.
Glad you enjoyed it Andrew 👍👍
Part 2 as good as part 1. Cheers guys.
Thanks heaps Dave 👌
Get your backside up here mate. We'll get you fully converted in no time 😅
Great video 👍
I’m scared 😳. It’ll end up costing me a fortune. You’re a bad influence🤣😂
Great video mate good to see you guys out enjoying what you love
Thanks Nathan. Hope you are travelling well👍👍
Good palm off to Rodney and Nath at the start 😂
Fastest handball in the south 🤣😂😳

Sambar are certainly masters of evasion in more ways than one.
Jesus Robbo, those rounds off the tree are ment to get smaller as you get down the trunk😭, Ya must of had Benny lifting those ones lol. Great vid.
Tell me about it😳. The old boys got the job done but ever so slowly😀
Best vids. Hold your ground. Push the 👍
Thanks mate. Appreciate the support
I could hear it honking here in America.
🤣
For a large noisy animal they still have a way of evading us 🙄
8.45 "rear end action" and "it just slipped out" ? . . . . is this the 50 shades of hunting channel ? 😮😂
😂🤣 makes you wonder 🤔. I can assure you it wasn’t a sweet perfume 😳
Yes
Hope you enjoyed it

Cheers mate. Heli hunting is certainly an issue 🙄
Do you still have your bergara ba13? Going to pick up mine tomorrow😊
Yes mate. Handy Little rifle👍👍
Kiewa valley area ?
No mate
Great video! Too bad you didnt find your deer. That sucks big time!
Thanks Sammy. As you know, it's part of the deal when it comes to hunting deer.
@@BoltActionProductions very true mate!
308 strikes again haha
Never had a run off Luke? 😂🤣😳. Happens to all calibers in my experience🤔
@@BoltActionProductions I hate 308s as much as you hate factory ammo haha
@@lukedavis5027 what’s your preferred caliber in this situation?

@@BoltActionProductions 3006 with 220 grain core lok is what I'm currently running with good results
Shame about losing that hind. Do you think that having a good dog on hand would have made a difference?
Yes and no. Heavily baited for wild dogs in this area so we have to be very careful about letting our dogs off to run free.
Whys the one shot rifle your mate has? Looks pretty cool!
