    Magic! 3 of my favourite things in life, hunting, fishing and camping. Then just add good mates, decent enough weather and success and that's about as good as it gets. As always, thanks for bringing us, very much appreciated.

    Thermal spotters can help find downed game when not visible with the naked eye in fading light!!

      Certainly can along as they are used within the laws and don't get abused.

    Oh mate, the 22wmr is my go to for a night out. Im mostly hanging around the 50-100m shots and mine is pretty bloody effective with the hornady critical defence.
    Would love to get my hands on some good thermals.

    Extremely enjoy your videos, they are truly so engaging. Thank you. As to the Federal 50gn 22wmr load, and someone who continuously shoots foxes on my own property with various calibres, I ditched them for two reasons, their rainbow trajectory and they act as solids with their low speed and do not expand on body shots.

    • @BoltActionProductions
      @BoltActionProductions  7 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks Steve. The 50's are certainly heavy target orientated and I 100% hear where you are coming from. The faster mid 30gr projectiles out of the 22 Mag will do the job on most vermin.

    it's very surprising how small a big deer gets when its down, that and the fact that they can run for a while before they go down makes them hard to find at times

    Nice video as always Steve. Don't know if you are seeing it in Victoria, but there's a lot of deer culling going on in SA using helicopters. And, apparently they are using shotguns of all things. Genuine hunters are coming across wounded animals and having to despatch them humanely. Not good mate.
