As a Crockpot Aficionado…and a grown man with severe ADHD, I can relate. I’ve made some of the most amazing meals I’ve ever consumed, having come home after 14 hours of work and smelling the kitchen from my driveway, and thinking the neighbors must be cooking something good! Then the neighbors come out, cause they heard my pickup drive in, asking if they’re invited over for whatever they’ve been smelling all day. Beans and ham hocks that have made grown men cry in front of their grand babies, ribs that were cooked so tender the bones were falling apart, clam chowder better than any restaurant. I put a venison roast in, with herbs and salt and pepper, a half bottle of bourbon and three sliced lemons…it stood on ‘warm’ all day and overnight, then half of the following day, because I had to lay-over…ran out of hours and had to finish the next day. When I got home my yard was set for a picnic. Folks had expectations after smelling that for a day and a half. I made that roast feed about twelve people. They brought corn on the cob and potato salad, fried chicken and baked Mac-n-cheese. We all ate well.
It's when I wake up, confused about that delicious smell. Walk into the kitchen, and don't remember I set it up until I'm actually looking in the crockpot. Best surprise ever.😂
Especially if you drink the night before! We're all out here like...who snuck into my house and made me a home cooked meal!?! 😂😂😂😂. Surprise....it was me on Captain Morgan the night before!!! 😅😅😅😅😂😂😂😂😂

If you don’t have adhd, it may be hard to understand how WILDLY helpful a crockpot or pressure cooker is lol the ability to automate cooking while you go off and try to complete other menial tasks saves us massive headaches 😂
I have adhd, and I don’t have to cook often, but my grandparents got a griddle recently, and I like cooking to a certain extent, it’s just once it passes like 15 minutes I feel like I’m wasting my time, but with the griddle, everything’s done within 15 minutes, and if you’re making steak or burgers, it’s practically instant (especially if you’re making smash burgers) like last night, I cooked 5 pork chops, fried up some potstickers, and cooked some asparagus, all within 15 minutes (as long as you don’t include the hours of marinading, but I didn’t do that, my grandmother did lol) threw the chops down, and once they started getting near done, I moved them all over to the side and started cooking the asparagus, about a minute into that, I poured the bag of potstickers onto the griddle and started cooking them, then I temped the pork, and it was done, so I pulled it, and the asparagus, and then put the griddle up to max temp and finished the potstickers with a nice sear in the pork juices
