I passed ! and I suck at math , I couldn't believe I passed. Honesty you only need the practice test. There will be many questions like #5 and #9. It is a bit overwhelming how much back to back questions are like that . They will be a lot of long-word questions. Super recommend study with math maria , it helps the most! Do not worry , I stressed myself out over nothing, I believe the writing is the hardest portion for sure so try your best

You did such a great job writing everything out to organize what each question asked that I adopted the same method which kept me so focused on the questions and what it was asking for. WARNING!! Please be aware that if you decide to take the online computer test through Pearson (instead of driving to a physical location), you will not be allowed to use pencil or paper to solve math problems!! They want to to somehow use an online “Scratch Pad” and key in your math, diagrams, and analysis in their little window. How in the world are you suppose to do long multiplication or division in this cryptic manner? Math in your head? Really? I aborted the test after question 2, after a lot of back and forth with the proctor, since this is like trying to paint a without a paint brush. I guess they assume you will cheat if you have a pencil and blank piece of paper. Signed, A guy with a PhD in Chemistry just looking to teach some science.
I wish I saw your comment before. I had a very hard time to do math in head. Most of the answers I guessed without calculating. Waiting for my results.

Math Maria - THANK YOU to the power of 100!!!! I reviewed your exam several times the week of the exam and then took the test and PASSED with a 42!!!! I'm really REALLY pleased with my results all thanks to YOU as math is not my strong suit! The exam consists of a mixture of very easy to moderately difficult range of questions including lots of word problems. I would suggest brushing up on your fractions (i.e. adding/subtracting, converting to a mixed number) and estimations. Be a confident test taker and do your BEST. Good luck friends! PS. Be advised that if you take the exam remotely from home you ARE NOT PERMITTED to use scratch paper which is a game-changer! (Note: At the test center they will provide you with a dry-erase pad)

I have a question concerning the perimeter problem. Since it said it's 8 inches wider, you add 8 on both sides to the width and length that's how you got 16. My question is with problems like an image like this does the 8in indicate you add 48 to 8 two times
That is correct. You add 36+8+8=52 for the base of the outer rectangle and 48+8+8= 64 for the height. And for the perimeter you have to add two bases and two heights. (Or as mentioned two lengths and two widths) P=2L+2W
Hi! I had seen that these practice tests wont be the same as the Onvue test at home. Do you know where else I can find a similar study practice one for the online one?
They are similar topics but do require similar understanding. They do change a little however. And for the CSET I took the math subtests 1 and Subtest 2. Those were a little more complex, specially Subtest 1.
hello, i was wondering is this test required for teacher credentials, because i have an afterschool program leader pre- employment test based on k-8 and i cannot find a correct practice test for that or is this just for teachers? because i am so confused lol
It’s ok to be scared. It is not ok to give up if teaching is something you want to do. Just keep going until you reach your goal. It does take time and dedication to learn the concepts and pass the test but it is not impossible. Sigue siempre hacia adelante.
It will be multiplication of linear measurements. I have a video but it is mostly in spanish. I am not sure if you could follow without listening to the spanish and simply look at the process. Yes. The biggest is 83. The smallest is 71. 83-71=12. The range is 12

Hello. This test is required for teachers in California. But it can now be replaced for teachers who took a college level math course I believe.

@Luiz Espinosa yes they are very close. Get all the help you need to pass your test via Spiralxbinuclease on IG. You will never have to retake.
It is similar but more complex so I suggest you really spend the time to study and review the practice test.
