There is a huge difference between normal Sonic fans and the 'Sonic Fandom' as they say. The Sonic fandom uses the franchise as a form of wish fulfillment instead of enjoying the series for what it is. I'm a huge fan of the Archie comics and I've played many of the Sonic games including obscure gems like Dark Brotherhood. I'd be lying if I said I didn't have fan character ideas from time to time as creating characters is a bit of a hobby of mine. However, I'd never do something like recolor an established characters with 1-2 odd design variations and call it 'art'.

There is a huge difference between normal Sonic fans and the 'Sonic Fandom' as they say. The Sonic fandom uses the franchise as a form of wish fulfillment instead of enjoying the series for what it is. I'm a huge fan of the Archie comics and I've played many of the Sonic games including obscure gems like Dark Brotherhood. I'd be lying if I said I didn't have fan character ideas from time to time as creating characters is a bit of a hobby of mine. However, I'd never do something like recolor an established characters with 1-2 odd design variations and call it 'art'.
