Just finished the video, and I definitely had not considered those interactions with An Evening’s Rest and Mercenaries! Thanks for making these videos!
I looooove this card! I was super excited to craft it in my most recent IRL game as Cats, I bought it from Otters for 3 funds on my first turn but they Swap Met it back from me before I was able to craft it😂
Hey thanks! That's what this whole series is about :) Thinking about each card in a lot of depth so that when you find yourself in the situation, you'll have some ideas of how you can use it.
Such a nice video ! So many interactions I want to try now ! (The sound was a bit low if I try hard to find something to improve but otherwise you are competing for the best boardgame channel in my heart)
My IRL table has been crushed by EE too many times to rate its saboability as "low". They pop it as soon as possible if I don't have a sabo crafted myself.
@@nitrorev I've gone exclusively fox crafters as cats for months now, regardless of what's in my starting hand. It's not the most reliable way to win, but it's fun as heck to ride the lightning.
@@pjdarkr7019 Even with VB or Warlord? I like FCG but it's a full tier better when you don't have to worry about giving those item factions their most desirable items.
@@nitrorev Even then. I've played plenty of cats games where I went mouse or rabbit, and still wasn't able to craft much of anything. The fact that it's not safe for me to craft the fox items isn't a deal-breaker for me. I like EE and Informants that much. As for the hazardous fox items, I just save them for the late game and/or tabletalk to make the VB/Warlord public enemy #1 so they get bopped, and I have freedom to craft them.
Starting the video now. Amazing series! But just FYI: I do think the sound volume of this video is a little bit on the low side. Anyway, thx for the content
Moles are the faction I have the least personal experience with which is why my videos tend to be more rules focused than strategy focused when talking about them. One thing I am extremely excited about with Underworld coming out is that I'll be able to play the requisite hundreds of games to really get the feel for how to play them well and how to assess their capabilities. What I've heard from the super experienced moles players is that no, they don't need a nerf if the table plays agressively. ADSET actually hurts the moles in a way because they get 1 fewer starting warrior and more importantly, everyone starts a lot closer together which leads to more entanglement which moles don't want. It forces moles to play more defensively when they would prefer to just sit on a building or 2 and sway and craft their way to victory, this is harder to do in an ADSET environment.
Yes, I have played with it. My friend MarcusTheCat is the designed. I do like the extra size (60 cards) and some of the changes he made but I don't care enough about the Base deck cards to really get excited about it. Other Fan decks with completely original cards are better designed than the Base deck. I like Marcus' custom card Digging Party, it's a very good idea.
Yes but then he has to immediately end daylight so you don't get much value out of your turns. If I'm the enemy, I'll still just bash the vagabond until they damage enough items that they get stuck not being able to take a real forest turn.
I am not practiced enough with the moles so I didn't want to pick them and embarrass myself. Especially since they are considered very strong if played by an experienced pilot. Neither Vagabond was appealing given the fact that 2 VB and Warlord we're both in the mix and I didn't have any starting items that would enable a strong start like tea in hand or something. I thought I was screwed from the get go so I might as well pick a faction that I enjoy playing and I know is fun to watch for the audience. Worst case scenario, I lose and put on a show, best case scenario I win as the worst faction and it's also a great show.
The term Fox Crafter's Guild was coined by CCoyote, a competitive player in the online Root community.
Thank you so much for the shout-out and for the support!!!
Your work is part of the Root canon and the fans deserve to see it!
Great work!

Congratulations for your win with the crows on the WT! Also, amazing artwork from Tin!
Thank you!! :D
Congratulations on the clutch crows win in the Winter Tournament! Really ROOTing for you here :D

Oof, that's just bad customer service!
That’s pretty cool to get such deep insight of how useful each card really is! I’ve never really thought about using this card whenever I draw it.

Really enjoying your content, i'm new to the game and learned much tricks from your videos, hope you'll keep on doing some !
We need more Crafty videos!

Dang, such a rare card to. Feels like a Shane but I can see the threat it could pose

For me, this is one of the "fun" cards that add some interest and variety to a game. I wish there was more than 1 in the deck.

Yeah, I'm still debugging a bit. Thanks for the feedback. It's actually what I need to hear to help make it better.
When is the next episode of "LETS GET CRAFTY"?
Soon! I just recorded some content today and will get back to making videos.
I noticed you haven't posted much on Moles. They seem to be one of the strongest factions. Would you nerf them at all?

You ever heard of the unofficial master deck? Is this anything you've ever played with

Was this card the reason you took corvids in 4th seat or would you have done that anyway?

I am only slightly disappointed that this video was not nearly an hour of all the different ways people pronounce Emigre
McGeary is acceptable at this point lol
