Hello welcome to Prattville. A great place to live, I moved here in 2003. And never regretted it. I hardly ever go to Montgomery unless I have too. All is here and growing. I just happened to come across your Videos, and today realized you are here. Surprise. Some thing you and Katie might enjoy in your travels in Alabama are the Plantation home Tours. A lot of history.. There is also Hank Williams Grave in Montgomery with a museum, and there is also a Museum close to Capitol in Montgomery. Remember when one door closes another will open , life is an adventure. Enjoy the ride. Bless you both.
We have really falled in love with this place ❤️ home elmore county. Between pratt and wetumpka we got plenty of charm here and the friendliest and most respectable people i have ever met. I love it here.
Quint clean quiet Prattville Al I hope the Lord bless you and Katie that the house be a home and the town keep you with a piece of mind it's a Beautiful place thanks for sharing ,🌳📽️🌳📽️
what a great spot Jose ..the foliage in that area is especially beautiful.... i'm trying to imagine what the old mill will be in the future ... interesting old b'ldings ....thanks for sharin' this ....
Awesome looking town. Old buildings clean streets. Flowers planted. Are the people friendly. Shit I am ready to move out of boring southern ohio. Thanks for the video. Happy for you folks. Stay safe
Am I the only one who was emotionally moved by the music during the beginning of this video? Jose, your dad’s heart must be so full of joy knowing his son(you) made a good decision to move out of Fl to better himself. The beauty of that is knowing he can always see you AND his other children pretty much whenever he wants. Stay safe. God bless you and your family always.
Hey love the video would love to see more. Prattville is a very beautiful city alot of people dream to live there. The people are nice and loving they are respectful.
The decency of people is something dad noted. were just outside of prattville but imagine with a small town a you-tuber with 14,000 subscribers can be overwhelming so were gonna identify with prattville to take it easy on our small town. We go into prattville daily since town is tiny. Its close. The area is amazing and the history incredible. videos coming soon on the history of this area.
Congratulations on your new home town , Now go get yourself some of the best artesian water you will ever have at Doster Road Artesian Well House . I go weekly from Wetumpka to get some .
I will be in wetumpka of since were kinda millbrookin things .. and yes i will try!! you can just drink that water? cool! t an awesome town! your town is about to become famous!!!
Very spiritual town. A little nostalgic. Your dad has a deal if decides be with you for longer periods of time: the reality is that south florida drains you. The thing you can miss is "la ventanita", at least here in Miami, because when I work in Broward area, I miss have access to a Cuban breakfast, made by Cubans, not by other Hispanics. Look, I don't know what is the report of air pollution in your area, but with the woods, I seriously doubt that South Florida has it better. Besides, the higher altitude, less pollution commonly. That is better medicine that all the medicare advantage clinics down there.
Congratulations, it looks like you found a real gem! The town center is neat and clean with beautiful landscaping surrounding the old brick buildings. Lots of curb appeal there. It looks like a vacation destination.
Hello I live here in Prattville bout 10mins from city u need do a video of ALL of Prattville Al it's very beautiful n nice truly is this is truly a beautiful city
Congrats , looks fantastic. You are ahead of the curve, people are fleeing the big metro areas, cities, and heading for small towns. Now, what are you going to do for a job? live on less then you make, below your means, buy gold, the economy is going to get worse, prepare now. start growing your own food, eat better, exercise, and stay positive.
Wonderful town dad most see how far your money strech, if you had more funds youd be living in jacksonville florida, any way you made the right choce.those pad locks represents love two persons have for each other that feeling of togeatherness for ever....
The padlock thing is big here in Germany too... I think there’s a bridge in cologne...that’s so full of those If people would take them off, as soon as they split up again...it would not become a problem 😂🤣
Sorry, don't like background music; I prefer no background music, and moreover the particular music you chose sounds like it is for funeral. Those rusted locks on the fence are an eyesore. River water is brown and not nice looking though I know you explained about the rain. cobblestone sidewalks in downtown are nice as our plants/flowers. Glad that Alabama nicer than what people told you; there will always be naysayers. I like the sound and waterfalls of the dam. You and your family raised the number of nice people in Prattville. Your GMC Yukon looks great; so is your family.
Seems like you now regret moving here. I understand - I had a terrible adjustment moving from Daytona Beach, FL to Jackson, MS in 1993. I tried to move back, but things didn't work out, and now I am old.
You're like the old school Cubans of the 40s and 50s who used to come over to the States and move around, not just staying in South Florida, lol. You actually couldn't really -there was no AC! It's funny because I've not actually met anyone your age who is Cuban born and lives in the States. In Spain, however, I've met many. Likewise, few know that there are lot of similarities between Cubans and the bbq loving hillbillies in the deep Southeast, ha, ha. Good on you, man you found your solace in AL!
You're right about traditional Cubans (not the new ones formed fully in the late "values" of the revolution) and Southern soul. We have in common a lot of things, and sadly, a sin: slavery, and i personally think that both groups deeply regret it. Cubans, sadly too, they lost their homeland in hands of an ideological gang. I worked with a guy, that became my friend, very settled in southern soul. He was watching me, and it was kind of checking my beliefs and opinions, postures, the Cuban attitude (can't be described, only observed), and one day, getting a cold, I took a "panuelo" from my pocket and then he jumped and exclaimed: "so (you have) a hanky as well". I didn't know that was the name of my "panuelo", hanky, handkerchief. And I realized, I was the only one in the company that had those habits (it seems considered very backward). By the way, I'm on my 30's.
I'll bet that You, or your Dad, or maybe your Grandad moved to the US from "somewhere else" entirely. Contrary to the present US Regime, we ARE a Nation of Diversity, a melting pot of immigrants. Well okay...maybe not an actual melting pot, more like a stew. But a really Crazy Good Super Tasty Homemade one, just like your Mom makes. So our family moved here mostly from Germany. Things got bad there, really really bad, twice. You may have read about that in History Class. Actually MORE than twice, but I digress. The other half left Ireland because of the Potato famine. People have to move somewhere for a variety of reasons You know, when it hits the fan. So we moved. Here. You just have to do that sometimes. So your Dad understands that. And we just might end up in Alabama too... But it could be Small Town USA or Small Town Canada. Just depends. I'll bet your Dad understands that, completely. When your kids move? Well, it's just like the first day they got on the School Bus and went to Kindergarten, and it's the bittersweet part of being a Parent. But Your Dad, or Your Grandad, or even your GREAT Grandad had to say goodbye to his Son, and that was before instant messaging and video calls... Just saying. And you and he can still visit. After all, Alabama isn't an Ocean away from Florida or anything. I really should visit Germany and Ireland and Russia and Italy to complete the mix sometime I suppose. But hanging out here is pretty nice for now, and cost effective. Hey... do this: On RUclips, type in "Jay and the Americans Only in America" and listen to that. Yea. That about sums it up!!! All the Best! DE W8LV BILL
William Pietschman imagine how the Irish felt when they finished their cabin in the US.. and thought about that journey across the sea. How many did not make it as well
What parent would not be worried about: "dad were moving to alabama" LOL

José! Really happy see your dad for the first time. You live in a gorgeous town. Your new car looks awesome. Really proud of you. Blessings!
I've lived in Prattville, P'ville or Prattvegas for almost 26 years. I think you'll like it. Btw, that's Autauga creek. Rivers a lot wider and deeper.
It's very clean and all those beautiful flowers around they really take care of their lawns and such
needless to say, HE LOVES IT and is plotting his claim on the empty second bedroom till winter time when we will be a snowbird.

this town was important. that was a factory building the GIN's that separated the seeds from the cotton.. this site impacted the history of the world.
