I'm 63 years old and I've wanted to learn to fly a helicopter from way back when I was a little kid. I learned to drive an 18 wheeler and ride a motorcycle. I never managed to actually fly a helicopter in the flesh. I've only done it on a laptop stimulator. I bent quite a few skids trying to land . You guys are blessed that you've actually got to do it
My favorite heli here, i love the MD600 Notar. Thanks Sophie, keep up the good work. I would like to watch your videos about civilian coaxial helicopters like the EDM AeroTech CoAX 2D, Cicare CH-11 and others.
The range and versatility of MD choppers is still full of surprises and I certainly regularly gotten to see the MD 600 Notar types do some dependable work for HEMS flying ambulance up close for many years.
The comparison really is quite meaningless. Fuel is only a small part of the cost of operating a helicopter. By the time you take into account engine overhaul, airframe maintenance, depreciation, rotables consumption, crew costs, insurance, keeping spare parts and all the other costs of operating the helicopter, fuel consumption really isn't a consideration when comparing one helicopter against another when choosing a suitable aircraft for the job.
the fact that all but one of these being turbines really makes me laugh lmfao. Yeah sure some may cost fuck all, but as soon as you do any form of engine maintenance, rip wallet

You make a valid point about the Enstrom Helicopters. They do bring unique features to the table. Are there specific models or aspects of Enstrom Helicopters that you believe deserve more recognition?
Some issues here. The R44 runs on AVGAS while the others run on Jet A. All of the turbines burn much more Jet A in an hour than a piston running on AVGAS. Also, the Enstrom 480B was left out and it has the lowest GPH fuel burn of any Jet A fueled, turbine helicopter beating the highly efficient MD 500 and Jet Ranger by just 1 GPH (on average).

So is the no1 the 135, 130 or 125? Big difference as I actually think the 125 is the cheaper model out of the 3 by quite a margin.

I don't trust anything from MD and now Boeing due to MD's influence. They're corrupt and make dangerous shortcuts for profit.
