This for $8750,000 yeahhhh keep dreaming lol they also claim this little potato of a helicopter fully loaded can fly for 3 hours on a full tank, yet doesn't show us were are they putting all of that fuel?....
IRL if this ever comes into production, certification for helicopters is a nightmare ... it will cost between 3x to 5x this price. 3 to 5 million dollars. a fadec turbine heli, with hover ap, all glass panel ... it has Agusta 109 / Airbus H125 specs, range, size... and it also has to pay for the turbine and avionics R&D. There is a reason most manufacturers don't do this.
GPT tells me though that aviation fuel is at an insane price in Switzerland ... around 6x of that of Italy ... leading to over 420$ per hour ... wtf :/

Replace "is, are" with "are supposed to become, should become" throughout the video please. This, at a price of half a Cirrus SR22T G7, my prediction, will never happen. Or at any other price. I think they started out with 500k, now it's 750k, then 1,5 M and then it will be canned, before delivery of a single certified helicopter. That's what (sadly) I think will happen. If not, I hope it fits our hangar 😉
Unfortunately they still don't have a running engine to put into the helicopter. They are still trying to figure out n test various fuel burns to reach their promised specs. N with over 900 promises to people that have already prepaid for an hx50 they haven't even had a test flight. They are a long way off from reaching their 2025 delivery to the 900 that already bought one
Unfortunately you're wrong, everything is on schedule. Those that ordered early did so with the knowledge that there may be delays but it's coming together and the buyers are are all happy and are fully behind Dr. Hill and his team. The company is fully transparent and buyers are informed about all developments, including engine devs
@@Ronnie_B I am well aware of the transparency. Where do you think the info came from? Their RUclips account. N at the time that I made that comment everything was completely accurate. They have graciously given a further update since then. But they still don't have a running engine yet. N even if you ordered one today, you won't see an hx-50 in your garage for at least 3 years. Which is fine cuz by then they'll have figured out all the unforseen issues that may come up with repeated flights of production models. Oh dear. 4 years later and I can't find any video of an engine test run. Looks like lots of smoke n mirrors for funding? I can't see how you'd get any decent efficiency with a single stage compressor and single stage turbine. After one year, they should have had an engine running even if it was made of steel and lasted 10min. Just as proof of concept

Awesome product by hill...

Yes it is!
He doesn't have a product.
Even £1M British Pounds sounds like a great price for this beauty. It would be incredible if they really can sell this for under $1M USD!
Never going to happen, not one will ever be built.
Must be the most beautiful bird ever, stunning in every way.

Robinson should be worried, theHX50 design and look is fabulous.
I don't think they really care. Hill doesn't even have a prototype yet and not to mention zero track record.

I swear the only reason this was recommended to me was because after a day on the road traveling I jokingly said “I need a helicopter”. Lol

At this rate of price increase the thing is going to be $4 million by the time all is said and done.

Robinson R66 turbine has 270 hp and sells for over a million new. Good luck with a 750k price tag.
