The brutality from such a young person to a young woman who already had a hard life seems inhuman. The nature of the murder a shovel repeatedly to the face suggests a fierce hatred, it’s a wild over reaction, who beats a girl to death over a possible pregnancy? This should have been no worse than an argument and separation, he’s a monster✌️❤️🇬🇧

This case is so awful. That poor girl had such a hard life and had finally settled in to a loving and healthy family. She was going to succeed in life, she was going to end up with her own baby and family one day. It’s so horrible that her wish for her own child led to her death. The fact that she legitimately just wanted to love a baby of her own one day, to give them the childhood she wish she’d had, the childhood a kid deserves, and her dipshit boyfriend acted on impulse over information that had absolutely no confirmation… it’s just so sad. I can’t believe how brutal he was at such a young age, to someone he was suppose to live and cherish and care so deeply about. I hope he never gets out of prison. And I hope the other inmates show him what they think about people who do things like he did.

During my last employment i briefly worked with kids who are/were in state custody. The topic of pregnancy and wanting a family stuck out to me. It is so prevalent with these young girls. I feel like the system doesn‘t do enough to address this. Many girls eventually do get pregnant (often by significantly older men) and sadly often times their kids turn back up in the care system, because these kids having kids don‘t have adequate ressources, experience nor support in childcare and life in general.

12 minutes in and I’m kinda freaking out at how close to home this is for me…. My family moved to Riverton Utah in 2008 and I know so many people who went to summit…. I’m 3 years younger than Annie but I’m very curious to see if I knew her or any of her family members, even though I have never heard of this case….

Can I just say… the SECOND you put up his photo I was like, yeah, it was him…! I don’t like to judge, but he just looked off..!! Also, It baffles me that the police just didn’t investigate him further… after watching a zillion true crime stories, we’ve all learned:
    - always look into the partner thoroughly!
    - alibis provided by your closest family members are not AIRTIGHT..! Like “The dad said he was home asleep”. Oh ok, great, he’s free then?! What? Of course your close family members might lie for you…! If that’s ALL you have.. it’s not an airtight alibi! We’ve seen this so often!
    - and the nail in the coffin for me: when someone voluntarily and immediately gives the cops information/explanation upfront, to something the cops haven’t asked or haven’t found out yet, it’s often an admission of guilt! Example: “oh by the way, if you find blood in my shoes by any chance, yeah she had a nose bleed..” duuuude, So obvious!
I was so confused with all the LJ and the gang members and whatever.. I kept screaming at my phone “what are you doing! It’s the boyfriend! Go back to that little shit boyfriend!!”
Sometimes I’m shocked at what detectives do or don’t do… 🤦🏻‍♀️

He said that all of her friends were telling her to avoid someone who the friends never even mentioned to the cops, and they bought that? What the actual fuck?

Such BS. He doesn't care about atoning for what he did; I definitely believe his lawyer recommended he plead guilty & act remorseful so they could try to get a lighter sentence.
I hope Annie's family can find some peace now that he's been caught.

I know some lil foster girls my family is taking care of. My heart bleeds for them listening to this case one even looks so much like her. It’s so tragic not enough kids get the parents they truly deserve

Just press the thumbs up people. The amount of time it takes out of your busy day is point too many zeros to bother looking up. You know you liked it you clicked on here with the expectation of a specific experience which you definitely received bc there's not exactly a lot of formula surprises with these.

I know telling lies is meant to be a ‘bad trait’ but I feel so sorry for her for feeling the need to say she was pregnant in the first place and she did not deserve what happened to her :(

Chris almost got away with murder, because the police was too busy. Looking for a suspect that may not existed, wasn’t for this new detective look at Chris.
He would’ve got away with it for good, the case would’ve gone cold and probably. And won’t have been solve, thanks to this new detective.
Finally gave justice to her family and friends.

I swear all police/detective training needs to include watching true crime cases on a daily because I feel we all call things and who it is before finding out due to our interest and watching these videos

chris’ dad literally lied about Lj coming to their house and threatening chris. So firstly, he must have known his son committed a crime if not that he murdered someone. And secondly, how did the police not question his dad again for a description of Lj as he claimed to have seen him……… idk… it’s just stupid
