About Daisy Jones & The Six: In 1977, Daisy Jones & The Six were on top of the world. Fronted by two heat seeking missiles in Daisy Jones and Billy Dunne, the band had risen from obscurity to fame. And then, after a sold-out show at Chicago's Soldier Field, they called it quits. Now, decades later, the band members finally agree to reveal the truth. This is the story of how an iconic band imploded at the height of its powers.

I don’t know why it’s not more popular. I felt like I was watching something very special. Started listening to the soundtrack of their songs on Spotify.
Same Spotify brought me to the show !!
I think because it's only streamed on one service, definitely needs to be streamed on multiple platforms!
The album is amazing
Ikr, it deserves more recognition. It's a well done series with a top notch cast and storie
It’s gotten a lot of Emmy nominations
The fact they spent a year and a half perfecting their skill's definitely translates on screen. Like suki said they literally have an album, as a group of actors 😭 it's such a unique thing to see come out of a show
it really is 😭 i hope they're all proud of themselves, almost feels like a missed opportunity that they're not gonna do any performances as the band
Emmy nominations for Riley and Sam!
Every moment during that final 'Look at us Now' performance was devastating!
I totally agree. They deserve an Emmy 🤗
Absolutely!! 💯
Yes yes yes
Riley’s great. She’s underplaying her musical history. She’s Elvis’s granddaughter after all
@@wyredmusic that means nothing at all.
This show is so underrated. It's a masterpiece. Probably one of the best shows of the last 10 years 🌹💗
facts!!
I TOTALLY AGREE!
Yes! I've watched it twice and the sound track is on repeat
@@Akearsing0603 I watch the series on repeat 😅
I AGREE! I keep telling everyone I meet or talk to. It’s surprising how many people haven’t heard about it. Amazon definitely needs to make a big marketing push. I’m listening to the songs on repeat in my car!
Who would have thought that, something good might come from the lockdown. These actors were supposed to seem like good musicians, but as Sebastian said, thanks to Covid they’ve become real ones. This is truly inspiring❤
WE NEED LIVE PERFORMANCES PLEASE!!! I need to hear The River's bridge live 😭😭😭
Yes this! I don't like the show has ended, but I'm more sad I'll never get to see them live 😢
@@tamoeri they seriously need to go on tour as a band 😂 i'd buy tickets so fast hahahha
@@caraamethyst6956 same!
The river is sooooooo good! I’d definitely buy tickets if they went on a tour
💯💯❤️
sebastian did such a wonderful job as warren, i love method actors and how they try to embody the character it's quite fascinating to me
He was great, I loved his character! Had some great one-liners.
I love how much thought Sebastian put into his character, it’s sweet watching him talk about it, all excited
They created genuinely fantastic songs for this show. Been playing them over and over
I was genuinely surprised to learn that Sam and Riley didn't have any singing or music experience prior to this show, not that you'd be able to tell. Still, music is in Riley's blood, given her famous grandfather! 🎶😉
Semi famous at best 😮😂😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣 jk of course !
She sounds like her Mama did early in her singing career. Riley has all of the talent and ability. She's amazing
The effort they put into this series really paid off. It looks so organic.
The best compliment I could say about this show is I didn't want it to end. I loved it!
Yes!! I keep waiting for the next season and I know it wasnt written in the book so they need to just make one lol
This is easily one of the greatest shows of the last 20 years .. the chemistry is unmatched
How cool is it that they wrote 70s style music. The songs are amazing....
Anyone else MISSING this show?!Dang!I have rewatched 3 times! The vibe is like no other!👏🏻👏🏻🎵🎶🌻
so far watched it twice but ready to watch it again!!
@@danielamosca1125 Absolutely!!!!Loved everything about this show🤍🙏🏻👏🏻
Me 2!!! Love it!!
@@terigiese1322 ditto!
@@colleenjensen6584 😀🤍💫
I thought it felt authentic. I really felt like it was filmed in the late 1960’s into the 1970’s. The music is fresh and very likable. Ten episodes at almost an hour each took a lot of work. You didn’t want it to end. Yes, you will have some tears flowing. The entire cast was professional in every way.
This series was incredible!!! I'm a fan of Riley, because I am a young Elvis fan. My mom was obsessed with Elvis and I went to Graceland in honor of her, as she passed at 57 yrs old. I've followed the beautiful Lisa Marie & I'm still heartbroken!!! 💔 All that Riley is going thru right now, plus her loss of Ben, my heart goes out to her! Her grandmother is a witch & Riley still has her sense of humor like Elvis. She is so strong & so so so classy!!! I adore her & she has the world on her side!!! Much love & continued success Riley & cast! I pray for u & Elvis, your beautiful mom & brother are your angels!! ❤😇🌹🕊
Its just a masterpiece this show and the soundtrack is a jewel. As a 70s hard rock influenced musician I could say that this inspire so much to do music with the vibes. Remind that we have really talented bands as Greta Van Fleet or Dirty Honey that takes the sound to our modern era. I believe as the same as Sam that for many people the 70s decade will come back... I hope so ...
i absolutely love it when actors talk about their roles and the preparation with such genuine passion and dedication. you can tell it means so much to them to make an effort and research and implement small things etc. like when sebastian talks about little drum details he brought to the role, or preparing by researching what warren would’ve grown up with and stuff like that. i love that.
I so desperately need more seasons of this show... I've even been listening to the Aurora album on repeat, which is weird for me because I'm mostly an extreme metal musician. I just cant get enough of it.
Shocked Riley never sang before wtf she was amazing
Her grandad is literally Elvis, she has it in her genes lol
Obsessed with Fleetwood and the 70s music era, this show was phenomenal. Songs and outfits were on point and the final episode always makes me cry ❤
Amazing show! Talent, casting, acting, writing, music, is off the charts! So sad when the last episode aired. Definitely going to binge over and over. Thanks for giving this to us!
I agree with Sam, I hope the 70’s makes a comeback! I have always felt like I was supposed live in that era. My husband was like “you’re so obsessed with this show.” I had to explain how connected I feel to that time. ✌🏼🎹🎸☮️❤️🔥
Teddy playing the glockenspiel on kill you to try is one of my favourite scenes - so wholesome ☺️😭
I love the purpose the drummer added into his performance as the character
I can't believe Riley has never sung before! 😮
I ❤ this show
One of my favourites shows on Amazon! The acting, the music, the cinematography, the directing, the writing, the costumes, the sets... EVERY ASPECT WAS FANTASTIC ✨
PS - Come tour to Montreal 🇨🇦
Suki at 19:25 is soooo right. I LOVE when Riley/Daisy says "Show me" in Kill you to try, it's so good😭
You guys are just so good! The amount of work you put in, really has paid off! I really enjoy listening to all the music you recorded and the whole series, is just done so well; you look like actual musicians from the 70's! And I was there, so I was extremely impressed with all of you. Thanks for all your hard work. (from Sandi)
Great show, really enjoyed it. The gear was spot on, sound city with the Neve was epic, the set designers did an amazing job, awesome guitar tones and parts. Stellar acting. Might have to watch it again!
Seen this twice and I LOVE IT!! Seriously love that they are now a band too! Blew me away and it’s by far my favourite favourite series! Of all time too!! The consumes and fashion aspect is just breathtaking too!
I absolutely love this series.
I really hope this series will make it to Netflix.
Especially for more exposure.
This very special, and beloved, series deserves it. :))))
Honestly this show alone is already worthy the subscription to Prime. In the words of Daisy, I stumbled on sublime with this one 💜
Best show I’ve seen, the cast, the music, the whole production is epic.. can’t stop watching it... utterly brilliant!
I have watched Daisy Jones and the six I know at least 15 times. It’s a heartfelt story and I hope it is never forgotten.
I watched 10 seconds of this video and I'm already in love with Riley.
Amazing effort by this cast! Production could have gone the easy route and had a band behind the scenes but this is so legit and authentic.
Can't wait until the award shows to see how many will be won by these loving and dedicated actors, directors, writers, film crew, editing, stage sets, wardrobe, sound crews, the newly created music from non musicians with a number #1 Billboard album Aurora on the first week of its release, and everyone having anything to do with this magnificent collaboration including the author of the book DJ&TS on the Times best seller list! .
I am in love with the world of Daisy Jones & the Six!!! The book, the series, the songs, the cast... everything!!! I'll definitely be doing songs from Aurora with my band!
I loved this show so much. Everything from the wardrobe up to the music. They really don’t make shows or music like this anymore. And of course I love Riley. I think she’s just so beautiful inside and out.
This is so true! I'm just amazed at what they accomplished. And the Covid break actually really did allow it to be possible! It's just incredible! And I DID live through those times. I've been listening to a lot of 70s rock because of this. (I never really stopped. The 70s and the 90s are arguably the most authentic basic rock decades.) But I've really been getting back into my favorites of those days. And yeah, I could listen to Rumors and Aurora back to back with my UFO and others thrown in and I'm back in the day! The River could have been on Rumors.
It blows my mind that Riley Keough didn't really sing before this. She has an amazing voice, and just nailed that character. Clearly the apple didn't fall far from the talent tree with her.
I'm just saying if there was a live tour, I'd go! I got the record and it's incredible. Great song writing and great vocals and instrumentals!
Best show in the last ten years. Amazing
Great series, great characters, great music. ❤
Just magnificent show! Extremely bad has ended, I want go back in time. The actors, I am just without words...The music OMG!
Maybe season 2
@@Akearsing0603 they would have to completely create the storyline. There is no sequel.
Get ready to win Emmys and Grammys. How abt an appearance on good morning America singing live and promoting the series! You guys are selling an album and other merch. Soundtrack climbing up Billboard rn.
This series is already epic!
It was so interesting that while I was watching this show my friends and I were talking about getting "the band back together", it had been 40 years since we were doing shows. All the while my phone kept beeping with texts back and forth with band drama and disagreements just like the Daisy Jones and the Six. It was surreal.
Sebastián is my favorite
Binge watched this show last night. LOVED IT!!! I need more!!! A+++++
Yes the music was felt deeply and seeing and hearing it is a lovely slice of Life.
great show guys.Elvis your grand pa would love it as i;'m sure your mom did..I met her in Fort Wayne IN. in 2005 when she played the club i played in and managed called Piere's..saw your mom do a sound check and we talked when she was done..tiny little gal and so sorry what happened..i'm 83 did alot of Elvis in my life and met him one on one at the international at 4 am in a small bar across from the showroom..we talked two hours in Dec of 1976 the last time he played there..i was going to give your mom something my wife made but lost track on that busy night...loved the new show and that band..songs definitely had a Lisa Marie feel and you look so much like your mom...its all so sad to me what happened, more than you will ever know...loved the entire cast you all nailed it....watched the last 6 episodes today..ha ha and i'm from Pittsburgh and sang at the 79 world series and have a song i wrote the day he died New Years eve of 1972..the next day it was done and i sang on the first Roberto Clemente day they had at 3 rivers stadium in April of 1973..I wrote it the night he passed..long story and another sad one for me..God bless..THE PRESLEY FAMILY....
This wonderful cast and their brilliant acting is the best thing about the show! I miss them already! ❤❤❤
Please is criminally underrated
PLEASE DO A LIVE TOUR!!! Or even just a special on Amazon. We need more Daisy Jones and the Six!!!!!
Funniest scene as a musician was seeing Billy playing a Dm with no great riff going on and Daisy saying "What's that?"
We NEED a world tour!!!
Eddie being british is wild!!!
Wish her the best at the Golden Globes tonight.
This band become my top 3 artist on Spotify wrapped, love you daisy jones and the six, please tour and PLEASE come to Malaysia 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Love the show and the music! I’m going to read the book now! And I’m pretty sure i will rewatch the show. ;)
We need MORE Daisy Jones, Season 2 please!!
That montage at the end was so epic, I swear to God.
my favorite show everrrr
I’m still watching it love Sam and as Billy Dunne he’s amazing and all the actors in this series are just awesome! I love it and 70’s music is fab and I’ve downloaded Aurora on Apple Music xx 💕
Loved this show so much!!!
I have rushed through watching the ten episodes, after a slow start
And I have to commit that I rarely have been so addicted to all of it as much as with daisy jones: the lyrics, the sound, the story and the characters of the band,
It really is better than the book, as the book could only pretend to have great music in it, ou could never live it with all your senses
1977 I would have been eleven, and oh my god what feeling of liberty to really find your up and downs on a world that was not yet reduced to this amount of problems we face today
This all. Ones as a big invitation to reevaluate our ways and cherish our moments on earth, as Daisy points out in the last concert …
Wow they had to learn so much ,,very impressive….
Please please release a DVD set. I'm on my knees.
I was so sad when it was over …you played the part so well …you were passion …that makes everything hot …
Love the show and the songs hope that more people will see it
I have binge-watched "Daisy Jones & the six" last week and I can't get away from the album "Aurora" anymore. I am a poor electric-guitar-player and I am old enough to know the music of bands like Fleetwood Mac (Daisy Jones & the Six reminds me very much of their music and even the attitude of Stevie Nicks and Lindsay Buckingham), CSN(Y), The Eagles and the influences of Laurel Canyon - based musicians in general (I am Austrian, so this is far from my home but I am still aware of this scene). I am working on some tracks now myself with my guitar because some of the harmonies are really interesting and not only the typical 3 (or 4) chord-model (e.g. "Regret me" or also "let me down easy" is quite interesting in the details).
I realized that Sam (Billy) did not play what I could hear but I realized that the lead guitar seen was real and also the drums were played real. So I started to become interested in background-infos and I am very happy now about the interviews and all the background-infos prepared by AMZ. This is an amazing project from A to Z. Great actors, fantastic 70s music, a good plot and an excellent production including the "making of"-infos which are part of their marketing of course. If they will continue making music as a band? I will watch what happens.
Great show. Amazing album. 🔥👍🏻
i love that lockdown gave them all the chance to hone their craft and become great musicians instead of acting it out. makes it so much more authentic. aaaaand much more likely that we'll get a tour???? we all hope.
The music is genius. I don't know how they pulled this off!
Time patience Rehearsing over and over
Whoa it is crazy to me that she did not know how to sing before! Like wut she has such an amazingly unique voice! And she's Elvis's granddaughter so like even more surprising.
Riley is a great actress
I've said this in other comments on videos RE this show and yes they got a lot of things right RE the 70s (I didn't live through it but I have friends who did, and who worked in the music industry in and around Toronto at the time), but the only thing they got wrong RE Sound City in the 70s was the gear, but that was due to the impracticality of having to reach out to Dave Grohl and be like "hey man, the art department really wants to borrow your Neve console to put back into Sound City for a band that's like Fleetwood Mac to satisfy studio nerds who know the Sound City documentary front to back to front."
So much fun, this series!
such a great show
This show is amazing. Underrated because it is so so good
AGHHHHH I HOPE THEY REALLY DO TOUR, I would absolutely loooove to see them
Yes, they should. It would promote the album. I think a lot of people don’t even know about Aurora. It is real.
Absolutely under rated….all of them cute as hell ❤
I absolutely loved this...thank you so much for taking me back to my younger years...love love love it....❤
I loved it!! And Lisa Crowne was played by one of my son’s childhood best friends!!!!
Absolutely magnificent!
if they go on tour and do not come within 3 hours of me i will become the most miserable person to ever walk this earth
Agreed
