Xenoblade chronicles 1 definitive edition will be around 75-80 hours main story and an additional 10 hours for FC. Not that it really matters though because when Animal Crossing comes out in a month it will literally blow all of those times away. Yeah it will be big
@@fastasgaupthebargaining7174 probably you played Oblivion first so you got tired of the formula. I played Skyrim first and I ended appreciating it a lot more. Oblivion has a setting too generic(just standard european middle-age fantasy), a lot of copy-pasted houses, some towns even look too similar (the central city is amazing, but regular towns lack from anything distinctive), all the chapels are identical from the inside. I see that kind of repeated content as the opposite of _charm_ , for _charm_ I would think in something special that makes it stand out. Of course if you have memories rooted in a game, that makes it special for you, but that doesn't make it good for other people.

Nope, each hunt in MHGU is timed to 50 minutes so the "about an hour" part is correct but definitely not more. There are some special hunts however where you have less than the standard amount of time however so no single hunt will ever take you more than 50 minutes so long as its successful.

“Fire Emblem: Three Houses will take about 150 hours to fully complete” Me, having already sunk in 200 hours and only finished the shortest of the 4 paths: ....
My dragon quest builders 2 playthru is currently at 250+ hours. Dark souls with multiple playthrus is currently at 370 hours.haha Breath of the wild was at 170hours.
So if you wanted to play every one of these games to 100% it would take you about the same mount of time as working a full-time job for 1 year, assuming you get 4 weeks off every year for vacation and/or holidays (48.125 continuous 40-hour weeks).
Skyrim 100% completion at 225 hours? Lies. It took me 900 hours to 100% the main game and then another 300 hours to 100% all 3 DLCs. So 1,200 hours. This doesn't include the additional 900 hours I put into the game across my other 13 playthroughs where I was just goofing off.
In my entire life of gaming breath of the wild is the only game I actually enjoyed exploring in and going to each corner of the map, I've got to say part of the reason is due to the fact that you get rewarded for doing so, if your gut tells you that there's a collectable or puzzle such as a korok a chest or a secret shrine its because there is and I love that feeling, in other open world games the world is just empty and where you think theres a collectable or some sort of reward there isn't its just emptiness, a simple puzzle that I enjoyed to was the one where you place an apple in each tray and a korok appears, you see one tray with an apple in it and you think to yourself "what if I place an apple in the rest" and surprise you solved the puzzle. In other games the likely outcome would have been nothing. Anytime you spot something out of the ordinary such as a tree on top of a hill or just a random pond you always want to go and explore because you always have that what if feeling

Somehow, I beat XC2 with Golden Torna DLC in 80 hours, but XC3 took me 115 hours (with DLC). I think the difference is XC3 side missions unlock classes, so there is a lot of incentive to do them. XC1,2 & X it's not as critical. That said, I love XC1, 2 & X (XC3 was my least favourite) and its great that you can finish the main game without dlc in a mere 60 hours or get really into them an put 180 hours into the games.

It's just an incredibly long game.
I think I'm 80 hours in and I'm still not finished.
I’m surprised that Octopath Traveler didn’t make the list. Either way, great list!
Oh i literally watched this video to see Octopath Traveler....
@@jacobynoctis4825 It doesn't take longer than 100h-120h to complete it, that's why.

@@maximiliangeraltklein6848 how did you not end it all, playing those boring ass games for 10k hours my God. I can't even imagine what that would be like after I woke up from the game putting me to sleep after the thirty minute mark. Basically I see a lot of napping happening in that 10k hours.
Oh well, I tried to like Dark Souls (two I think..) , and then tried again with Bloodborne... I think I've got about three to five hours between the two now. I'm just really happy that I can say I gave it my all, I tried harder than I've ever tried in my life to like those games because everyone has the biggest boner over them... And I'm so glad I'll never have to do it again!
Sorry.. But no really good for you for beating your head against the wall for 10k hours on a game you don't even realize you actually hate. Props 😉
Dragon Quest XI should be on this list. The demo alone can go up to 10 hours.
Was just about to mention this. 🤝
DQXI only takes 120 hours to 100% complete less than FE Three Houses

That's a lot of total hours 😂
2 and half playthroughs for Fire Emblem Three Houses, to do all the routes. I've got 140hrs
And that's exactly why I didn't buy the game. Not enough return on investment lol. Bet it's still good tho.
Dylan De Loe I’m also at 2 and a half play through and I’ve logged 175 hours! No idea how someone finishes all four routes in 140 hours
Sounds like you were wasting alot of time I finished 3 routes and on the fourth route and got about 110 hours
i have 200+ hrs and not skipping anything and have all A and S support to all my units no deaths no using divine pulse i play it carefully and im still in Black Eagles route(hard/classic) im in my second playthrough in Black Eagles route going and gonna see the second ending now, you guys must be pro in the game or maybe im just bad
My first run with Golden Deer took me 120 hours......
"390hours!!! I don't know who has that kind of time to spare"
I suddenly realise that my time combined in all the monster hunter I played could have been used to learn violin at a pro level.
What mad lads are finishing FE: 3H in 40 hours? It takes me 70-80 hours per route!
UsernameyMcUsernameFace maybe the creator.
I’m on my 3rd playthrough going with Black Eagles, my first took me 40ish with Blue Lion and that was me not doing any sort of paralogue, just story, then my second being Golden Deer and it took me about 50ish hours with all paralogues completed, now I’m at Black Eagle with 20ish hours and counting.
I'm getting exhausted just listening to this let alone playing for that many hours.
would love an updated version of this video in a few years or at the end of the switch's life cycle
9:11 to me the most terrifying thing is theres probably more hours worth of content because no matter how many times people play the game theyre still finding new stuff
Xenoblade chronicles 1 definitive edition will be around 75-80 hours main story and an additional 10 hours for FC. To 100% everything (all achievements n stuff) was around 250 hours but that's because it was harder on the Wii and I'm expecting the new quest system to cut that down to about 200-225 hours for max%.
U can spend that whole 2k hours just on monster hunter alone
exactly
This made me realize how much multiplayer games suck me in, with my thousands of hours on multiple games
Bro these hour totals are really low compared to all my playthroughs. I got 60 hours in my Black Eagles playthrough the first time and am now 85 hours in with 25 in Golden Deer (and the secret other Black Eagles route).
80 hours with black eagle, lol. I think that FE:Three houses can be higher on the list cause of all bonds|supports you need to unlock, and that 150 hours mark is just a playthrought of all three houses only
@@eugenjackson4583 i think they didnt care about those, in story battles(hard/classic )is 30mins long if you care about your units staying alive and not using divine pulse, well thats how i play FETH no units will fall and no using divine pulse and yeah no green units dies too

I feel like a lot of these “100% completion” hour counts are too low. Botw is closer to 250-350 if you’re looking at all of the Koroks and Armor Upgrades And Sidequests and Shrines and such, And I know people who have spent 600+ hours on Hyrule Warriors Legends, And people who have spent well over 800 hours on Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate.
Not that it really matters though because when Animal Crossing comes out in a month it will literally blow all of those times away. I spent hundreds of hours on new leaf and hardly even made a scratch into its content, while some people literally spend thousands of hours on that game, and looking at all of the new stuff that will be in New Horizons...
Yeah it will be big
Skyrim is still one of the best nearly a decade later that game is legendary
@Tl2aV it really is mediocre as hell oblivion might have lacked some polish it had a lot of charm and wasn't as boring
Imagine if Skyrim was made with the modern day tools, THAT GAME WOULD BE SO BIG, but wouldn’t be on switch 😢

Just wait until Xenoblade Chronicles X gets inevitably ported to switch. The unfathomable amount of hours of content the Xenoblade Chronicles trilogy will provide is beyond insane.
Nope, each hunt in MHGU is timed to 50 minutes so the "about an hour" part is correct but definitely not more. There are some special hunts however where you have less than the standard amount of time however so no single hunt will ever take you more than 50 minutes so long as its successful.
This is a great list with some amazing games! I do feel like that there are a few games missing including Disgaea 1 Complete and Disgaea 5 Complete.
Thank you for your video!!!!
Guessing the random elements of Disgaea 5 made it invalid. Would easily take 300+ hours to collect all of its weapons. And the main story alone is well over 50 hours.
Anyone else see the Majora’s Mask art on a video for Switch games and get super excited that they’d missed an announcement?? Thought Majora’s Mask HD or something 😅

110 Hours in Diablo 3. Gonna stack up hours in Dragon Quest 11 and Witcher 3
700 plus on d3 across PS4 and switch

Dude I’ve put 180 hours into Fire Emblem only having played two routes, how y’all so quick🤯
@Meme Man For Smash! the Fire Emblem games are tactical RPGs. You control units in a grid map, and it's about turns and strategy.
Nintendo Life: Hyrule Warriors can be completed in 345 hours
The Completionist: Hold my beard

I've put in over 600 hours in Breath Of The Wild, so 150 is nothing.
My little brother has 650 hours in breath of the wild. 500 hours in smash ultimate. And 370 hours in Hyrule Warriors. And that was when he was working part time. My longest time in a single game on Switch is 70 hours in Dark Souls.
Your numbers on FE 3 Houses are wrong... it takes waaaay longer to play through all 4 routes

"Dear god he's right!"
More of these moments in the house, please!
it’s makes me happy that my favorite game series is the longest with the most content, even though there is no way in hell i would ever spend that much time on one game

EXACTLYYYYYYYYYY I'M STILL PLAYING MONSTERS HUNTER RIGHT NOW, You still have to have Max Hunter Rank to officially beat the game
I completed the main story in Xenoblade Chronicles 2-along with a few side quests here and there-in 82 hours. And you know what? Every hour was absolutely worth it. I love that game so much.
Buy Breath of the Wild and you'll be happy for a few months. I've had it for 2 years and I still play it regularly.
