If you look closely, you can see black "threads" trapped in the material. The work here was not clean. This is also the case on my Carina Nebular Disc.🤔
There are two ways the dust speck appear on the disc projection on the ceiling, from the projector itself, in my case Homestar Flux lens, or from the dust speck on the disc. If dust speck is on the disc, you can use a soft fiber cloth and some alcohol to clean and wipe the discs. I talked to Miller Engineering customer support and they said it is safe to clean the discs, it will not damage or wash out the image printed on them in any way.
I'm thinking of getting the Sega "Flux" version for my bedroom. The idea of relaxing under the stars while cozy in my old four-poster bed seems appealing. Did yours come with more than one "Disc?" Thanks, and take care...
Dave, my Sega Homestar Flux came with two discs, Milky Way with the constellation outlines and without them, just the panorama. I bought my Flux from www.segatoys.space/en/public/flux.html $229, and my discs from microstru.com/collections/homestar-flux-pro-classic-disc-replacements Make sure that you buy the discs for Homestar Flux, otherwise they are not compatible with the projector. Here are other discs I bought, International Space Station, Carina Nebula with the awesome Mystic Mountain ruclips.net/video/LLdO3eBRspk/видео.html

Are you happy with the quality of the Miller Engineering discs in the Flux? Thnking of doing the same, since the DS1 is far too expensive for my budget...
I am happy with my Homestar Flux and the Miller Engineering discs. The projector does not produce sounds, music, so if you want to do an open eye meditation you need music from a different source. You can set up the projector to rotate the disc slow left or right. Falling stars on or off. Timer. Yes the discs are expensive. Four days ago I bought another disk, Andromeda, I love it ruclips.net/video/YZU6OXo3wB0/видео.html Do not stare into laser of any projector when it is on.
Many thanks. Yes, I created the song with “MED SoundStudio v2.1” (a Music Tracker, music editor for PC), and for instruments I used the sound samples from my old RBF instrument samples CD. I have another video I made in the same manner like this one, with an awesome view of the International Space Station above the curvature of the Earth, and the beautiful Carina Nebula's Mystic Mountain projected on my ceiling, but for music I used the instrumental part of one of my songs (The Spring) we played live on stage in 1975 in Bucharest ruclips.net/video/LLdO3eBRspk/видео.html
I am a customer like you, nothing more. I bought my Sega Homestar Flux last year, and when I didn’t use it I kept it inside its white box. I am not sure what to tell you. I know that you can clean and wipe the Miller Engineering discs with a soft fiber cloth and alcohol. You won't damage or scratch the discs. Maybe soupy water and cloth would clean the device. The best thing is to ask the customer service www.segatoys.space/en/public/flux.html On the bottom under Company, click Contact, and send your message, They probably will email you back with the right advice.
No audio, but you can listen on your smartphone or CD player while you stare at your ceiling. The song in my video I created with a PC music tracker called MED SoundStudio v2.1
Bought 2 discs for the flux from Miller Eng. Rather disappointed with the quality. If you look carefully in this video, you can see dust specks and scratches. I had the same issue. Wonder why the QC is so bad despite paying a hefty price. I returned them.
