Brunei is very different from others, because the country is managed in an interesting way.
The life here is very relaxing, good healthcare is provided, generally people with heart problems are treated in Gleneagles and its free, gives you an idea. Theres no tax. Education is free and if you study in Uni the gov provides monthly allowance. The car petrol is pretty much the same price as it was in 1980s. The rice is subsidized. The gov will never let u sleep on the street, will give u a home. The population is well dispersed into several major housing areas with car ownership ratio a car to a person. Most ppl have satelite tv and everyone has smartphone and access to youtube and facebook. Theres no traffic jam and many commute between work n home less than 30 mins. The gov is really protective when it comes to the rainforest like 70% of the country must stays green. Many often shops abroad. Etc. On negative side, it can be boring because we dont hv concerts etc.
But the Sultan is the most loving. In one event where the Sultan was the guest , a small boy of 5 or 6 yr old pulled the hand of the sultan, and said 'sultan are you not visiting our home?' And guess what the sultan actually went to visit the boy's home. Hes too loving, he will not let you starve.

I have been there. Because you need to present an onward air ticket to be allowed to enter, I had to determine the length of my stay in advance. I choosed around two weeks, because my mindset was: boring? Its what you make out of it. And two weeks is normally a good time to collect some impressions of a country. I met pretty cool locals there. But in the end I passed my days in a cybercafe. There is really not that much to do.....

Brunei Darussalam is definitely a beautiful country, even though a lot of people might say its boring, but Brunei's got a lot of amazing places that you can go to, having fun doesn't mean that you go to a country expecting to have all the entertainment it can offer, no. For me having fun is when you enjoy your time visiting a country knowing that it has a lot of friendly people, amazing places and most of all, their lovely food. And for Brunei's case, Brunei has got a lot of interesting places of interest for the adventurous people out there, such as of course, the capital city, Bandar Seri Begawan along with all the mosques and Kampong Ayer, but thats not all, Brunei has a lot of malls that always have events like The Mall, Times Square, and so much more. Every Sunday we have this event called "BandarKu Ceria" and basically this event uses the capital city as a location for people to get together, with friends and families, thousands and thousands of people come every week to enjoy their week end, play games, ride bikes, eat food and so much more! For those who loves to venture out for Brunei's food, they can go to so many places like the Gadong, Kiulap and Serusop area, these places have a lot of shops and malls nearby, not to mention even restaurants, there is even the very famous "Pasar Gadong" (often called Pasar Malam Gadong or Gadong Night Market) which is located near The Mall in Gadong that focuses on selling food. Yes, lots of vendors sell different kinds of food for those people who wants to try out delicious food. Lastly for entertainment, Brunei has got a lot of malls and movie places for those who just wanna rest and relax while watching a movie, and theres Jerudong Park for those who want to really have a blast playing games and rides with their families and friends, what I like about Jerudong Park is that not only do they have fun and amazing rides there, but they also have tons of amazing food nearby! Definitely a must go for people who come to Brunei. Not to mention that honestly, Brunei's beaches are really beautiful, especially the one near the Empire Hotel and Country Club, people can go there and relax, have a picnic and spend time taking pictures there, Empire has a lot of amazing surprises when you visit them, be sure to go there, i really recommend going to Empire! Well, that's it from me i guess, theres just too much to tell about Brunei, so people from other places, please spread the news that Brunei is not boring, in fact, Brunei is a lovely country full of amazing surprises that you won't expect! (Psst, come to Bandar Seri Begawan on Sundays before 6:30AM, you'll have a blast there!)

What about the costing there? I could see from your video, it is quite cheap really. What abour car rental? Easy to get around. Brunei is quite small right.. Perhaps reason why they say its boring bcoz u pretty much covered all the places in short time. But its good for relaxing n to those that enjoy peace n nature. Citylovers? of course they will find it boring. The scenery looks like u travel back in time to 70s i would say. I mean the colour n the building, houses.. Give me tge 70s vibe
