As a Baptiste player I am shaking in my seat from some of these cooldown uses. Here’s some things I noticed. Baptiste has some very strong abilities that are easy to both underutilize and overuse. Thinking about your position in relation to your teammates when using them is one of the core parts of his kit. Especially when it comes to immortality lamp. While bronze players aren’t going to be the first to bait out abilities, you still need to think “If I use this now, what can I not use it for while it’s on cooldown later?” And also falling into the trap of just always aiming at the ground to heal. Yes, it has AOE. But you will heal so much more with direct hits so it’s worth it to get better at those. Especially when you’re healing a tank! They’re big, they’re easier to get a direct hit on!
Also use your mobility more! He has those boots, use them! The lamp can save you from most ults. But so can just jumping away. You can get out of LOS of so many ultimates by jumping to a position they can’t reach. Also, you don’t need to look where you’re jumping. Know the map. If you know there’s somewhere to jump to just charge your boots as you’re healing/shooting and jump when they’re charged. It only takes a few seconds of not focusing on the fight for things to go wrong. This didn’t happen too much, but in the times it did it’s very apparent that focus shifted from the fight to moving, but it doesn’t have to. Multitask as Baptiste!
Fr, looking at floor half the time, never takes high ground, lamps for no reason, constantly in front of his rein, randomly shoots a lot of times, also randomly swaps between damage and heals a lot of times. Basically just understands he needs to heal team while trying to do damage but nothing else at all including how to heal and do damage…
They get their left and right click confused all the time, stand in the open all the time, and I think they're using the EyeToy camera to aim. Hallmarks of a bronze player.
a huge issue i see with this player is they use their abilities sometimes in lieu of primary healing when that's just a waste of very powerful abilities. they use lamp and regenerative burst in an attempt to make up for their mistakes and inattention to their team's hp. that's not good. regenerative burst is excellent for AOE healing in response to burst damage or to heal multiple people when they're critical and you can't use primary to splash healing on all of them. lamp is basically a mini defensive ult that can be used to counter so many things. if you're just throwing it out because you fucked up and weren't paying attention to your team, then you're not going to have it to actually save anyone or turn around a team fight. I think this person could maybe get to silver 5 but not higher than that. they're very lost, imo, they don't have a plan for handling team fights or a sense of priority for supporting their team. they wouldn't survive in gold, imo, because they're not able to keep their team up under the chaotic non-pressure of bronze. gold is when things begin to be more coordinated and they're just not ready for that. 11:20 you really gotta stop staring at the floor, as seen before this death. you're limiting your ability to see what's going on around you. denying yourself information by default prevents you from trying to make good decisions because you cant make a good decision if you don't have a sense of what's going on. good supports always have their head on a swivel, they're checking for flanks so they can ping and alert their enemies. they're listening for footsteps. they're checking on their whole team to see who needs help. the more you look around, the better equipped you will be for making better decisions with your positioning and priorities. 20:18 yes this was a good play, but if you hadn't made a million mistakes up to this point, the game would be over already.
@@RedPandaReal It's only 20 more and only affects the person you hit. The splash is 50, so every missed nade because you're trying to be a pro gamer is a significant loss in heal / second. Not worth it. Most characters have a wider hitbox at their feet, too, so if you just shoot their toes you can still get a lot of directs *without* missing all the time.
guy had one good play and then immediately sat on cart, doing nothing but spamming his cooldowns for no benefit, think he's stuck because of his teammates. hmm.
Frontlining too much while tunnel visioning the enemy team. Positioning highground is definitely a start. I also get trying to be the *hard carry* on support. But part of that is making sure your team regardless of the skill is not in the risk of death instead of hoping the enemy team is bad enough to run to their death.
So...blames teammates...doesn't use bap mobility other then to climb, spams cooldowns when unnecessary..yeah alright 😂 Will agree burst is a fun button...but yeah I ain't gonna blame my team for my own faults 🤣
There are multiple scenarios in which he could have used boots as an escape, not referring to the ones in which escape like that would not help, but quite a few in this vod he could have but didn't, also the things I mentioned are not the only things wrong here, he wants to blame his teammates every little mistep becomes worse lol
No lol there certain scenarios it won't work but yeah, I also feel like people who blame their team when they play like this need to do some self reflection, so alot harsher 🤣
This was an interesting watch for me as a bronze three bap myself. I would say there were close to zero similarities in this guys positioning to my own. How can you heal your team when you're standing in the open on the point with them all game? If you're up high on an off angle you can shoot the enemies better and heal your team better and most importantly of all just be more aware of what's happening. Mechanical skill probably similar, possibly mine is slightly worse, but then I've had the game less than a month I think. I love how he did 15k healing (apparently, I can't work out when), and is being widely criticised for not healing enough. I've literally never done 15k healing with bap. I don't remember ever out healing my damage tbh, though they're often close. There were two plays that I can 100% picture myself making. Firstly, when he shot the Moira instead of healing his Echo. My problem here is that idk how you heal the Echo here, because he had no cooldowns and he was standing on top of her, so how does he heal her? By the time you move away from the Echo so you can heal her, is she not dead already? This is why I try to always avoid being in the middle of my team. The second play is the PotG (side note, the fact he thought him getting the PotG is noteworthy is just hilariously delusional lol). That play was just obvious and I literally make that sort of play all the time. It doesn't normally line up quite that well, but same thing.
The player is playing dps first healer second thats probably the reasond tank went hog 🎉 also 14:55 he ran away instead of using immortality field which could have been big
Yeah this person needs to improve in all facets of their gameplay if they want to climb out of bronze. One of the major ones is proper ability usage, since they were using their burst heal and lamp in completely random places, which resulted in them not being available when needed. Even then, sometimes this player wouldn't use those abilities when they were available to be used and when they were needed. Plus the bap pretty much never used window, which is quite a powerful and flexible ultimate which can be used for both damage and healing. Even if you aren't windowing for your team, it's enough to window for yourself to increase damage and/or healing output. They probably could have had an extra 2-3 windows if they actually used the ult. Also one of the biggest things about blaming teammates is you always know who's fault it is based on how they phrase it. If it's "my teammates are holding me back," they are usually bad themselves. Sure, some matches you have a braindead teammate who hard feeds or just really doesn't perform and makes it extremely hard to win (especially if that person is a tank), but you're not going to have that every match. Plus, think of it this way: the people in your matches create an average level of skill. If you're above that average, you are going to climb ranks over time. If you're at or below that average, you are going to stay hardstuck. If you aren't climbing, it's not your teammates' fault. It's your own. Pinning it on your teammates means that you aren't self-reflecting on your own gameplay and trying to improve yourself in order to climb. You're actively hindering yourself if you are blaming it on your teammates every match.
I get that it was a meme and all to call those characters "supporters" and not "healers" because their job is to do more than just heal, but it feels like the pendulum has swung into the other direction and a lot of lower metal rank supports neglect to heal their teammates and wonder why their left alone in 1v5s all the time.
I am silver 5 and I do notice a lot of teams ignore the back line and a lot of dps will run off across the map far beyond los. Are there things I can improve? Certainly, but some games you just cant hard carry as support. That doesn't mean you should waste time blaming your team though. Better to treat it as a learning experience to improve your own gameplay.
I hope it doesn't sound mean, that's honestly not the intent. But I wonder looking at players like that, can they even be coached to become decent (like at least diamond)? Where would you even start? Some bronzes you look at and think "yeah, there is potential here, they just need to work on things". Here though, literally everything seems hopelessly terrible. Is this improvable?
just gotta work on their aim and then yeah they are coachable I think everyone (unless they have a crazy bad disability) probably has the potential for masters in this game maybe gm
Sometimes it is your teammates fault, I won't deny that. But just looking at this guy, it's not fully on the teammates. They need to work on *a lot* to climb. Not gonna elaborate on what because others in this comment section have already done so. That dva bomb tho.
I thought there was a sloth playing the game, he has such a slow reaction time and he doesn't even try to aim at the enemies when shooting at them, bronze console players have better aim than this. You can't honestly tell me this person is trying their best and yet they have the audacity to blame their teammates.
This guy is NOT getting held back. At times he's even holding his team back. 1. He plays Bap like he was briggite. 2. If he's going to focus that much on shooting even when his allies are critical, then why not just play dps?
Anybody in this chat knows someone who boosters accounts. I entirely dont belong in the rank that I belong in, I just needed rank backup to Platinum. None of these streamers know the struggle in these low ranks.
this is gonna come off as dickish but bronze, silver, gold and even low/mid plat are pretty much all the same elo with people making the same fundamentals mistakes.
@@neilmallick20 "this is gonna come off as dickish" then don't say it. if you think someone is gonna take something poorly, then why make it certain by saying that? same goes for "no offense but-" bc anything that comes after is automatically ten times more offensive. that's first of all. second, instead of sitting up there on your high horse like you're some peak example of a video gamer, why not offer suggestions? this comment you left is no better than someone smurfing and saying "get good" at the end of the game. and third, you are so wrong im actually sick to my stomach. yes, metal ranks are generally bad, but you CANNOT compare plat to bronze, full stop. it is a scale of skill and game sense, just like diamond to t500. do i sometimes mess up my positioning in high gold as a supp? yeah, sometimes. so do t500 supports. not nearly as much as i do, just as i don't mess up nearly as much as this bap did. this game has a ranking system for a reason, and your claim that metal ranks all make the same mistake is fundamentally a farse; your logic is flawed, and your intent is nothing more than a power trip. now get out of here, troll.

I'm surprised this guy graduated from the tutorial
Bruh this is why Bronzes think Pharah is the most broken hero in the game, literally not once did man look up
Even bronze is too high, that was painful.
If they play well in one game and still lose, it's their teammates. If they play well consistently, they'll climb eventually. Consistency is key
They get their left and right click confused all the time, stand in the open all the time, and I think they're using the EyeToy camera to aim. Hallmarks of a bronze player.
Console OW is a completely different game as opposed to PC OW
Another jumpscare from reaper. Nothing new... Jesus
Can we all take a moment to appreciate how much better bronze looks than a few years back.. 👏
a huge issue i see with this player is they use their abilities sometimes in lieu of primary healing when that's just a waste of very powerful abilities. they use lamp and regenerative burst in an attempt to make up for their mistakes and inattention to their team's hp. that's not good. regenerative burst is excellent for AOE healing in response to burst damage or to heal multiple people when they're critical and you can't use primary to splash healing on all of them. lamp is basically a mini defensive ult that can be used to counter so many things. if you're just throwing it out because you fucked up and weren't paying attention to your team, then you're not going to have it to actually save anyone or turn around a team fight.
What sucks is that's dva looks like my teammates in high silver low gold with the dva ult out of nowhere after they capped first point. lol
I just realised i was not subscribed yet despite watching all of your videos, now i am subscribed
This person constantly shooting nades at the character's midscetion instead of their feet was making me so uncomfortable.
A direct hit heals more though
@@RedPandaReal It's only 20 more and only affects the person you hit. The splash is 50, so every missed nade because you're trying to be a pro gamer is a significant loss in heal / second.
Not worth it. Most characters have a wider hitbox at their feet, too, so if you just shoot their toes you can still get a lot of directs *without* missing all the time.
@@FlamingNinjaBoi yeah but hiting in the middle gives you more bragging rights
Controller aiming hurts my brain
guy had one good play and then immediately sat on cart, doing nothing but spamming his cooldowns for no benefit, think he's stuck because of his teammates. hmm.
Then he ignores heals and dva bomb for moria he keeps missing 😂
Frontlining too much while tunnel visioning the enemy team. Positioning highground is definitely a start.
I also get trying to be the *hard carry* on support. But part of that is making sure your team regardless of the skill is not in the risk of death instead of hoping the enemy team is bad enough to run to their death.
I cant help but think that’s an ego vod
So...blames teammates...doesn't use bap mobility other then to climb, spams cooldowns when unnecessary..yeah alright 😂
Will agree burst is a fun button...but yeah I ain't gonna blame my team for my own faults 🤣
What do you mean doesn't use boots other than to climb? Spamming jump mid fight won't go well against a damage boosted Soldier.
There are multiple scenarios in which he could have used boots as an escape, not referring to the ones in which escape like that would not help, but quite a few in this vod he could have but didn't, also the things I mentioned are not the only things wrong here, he wants to blame his teammates every little mistep becomes worse lol
@@ralphforbes5807 Oh, that I agree with. I thought you meant something else.
The cool down usage is pretty bad 😢
Poor awareness and ability usage. Needs to take it slow, look and think
Nah bro, bronze is perfect lmao
7:20 i think the bap was gonna window this.
this bap should also learn to combo shoot and heal so they can basically dps and heal at the same time
I get that it was a meme and all to call those characters "supporters" and not "healers" because their job is to do more than just heal, but it feels like the pendulum has swung into the other direction and a lot of lower metal rank supports neglect to heal their teammates and wonder why their left alone in 1v5s all the time.
He can't even keep his team alive.
This dude plays like my teammates in plat… not a compliment
He might be playing on a trackpad
He's bronze
I am silver 5 and I do notice a lot of teams ignore the back line and a lot of dps will run off across the map far beyond los. Are there things I can improve? Certainly, but some games you just cant hard carry as support. That doesn't mean you should waste time blaming your team though. Better to treat it as a learning experience to improve your own gameplay.
He could definitely make it to silver or gold. There are tons of people in this rank who play exactly like this. Especially in my lobbies!
Nah he deserves bronze. When i was in gold i didnt play bap like that, i had more awarness and better positioning
what da dva doin
Where should I send the link for my replay?
Why does everyone from Boston yell like Bill Burr?
I hope it doesn't sound mean, that's honestly not the intent.
But I wonder looking at players like that, can they even be coached to become decent (like at least diamond)? Where would you even start?
Some bronzes you look at and think "yeah, there is potential here, they just need to work on things". Here though, literally everything seems hopelessly terrible.
Is this improvable?
just gotta work on their aim and then yeah they are coachable
I think everyone (unless they have a crazy bad disability) probably has the potential for masters in this game maybe gm
Sometimes it is your teammates fault, I won't deny that. But just looking at this guy, it's not fully on the teammates. They need to work on *a lot* to climb. Not gonna elaborate on what because others in this comment section have already done so.
That dva bomb tho.
Aggressive support who can't aim? Yep, blame the team.
He needs to go back to the practice range and fix his walking and aim
That's definitely a console bronze, alright.
Yeah positioning is suicide all game, ouch.
This is controller right ?
Chat today was really annoying tbh
I thought there was a sloth playing the game, he has such a slow reaction time and he doesn't even try to aim at the enemies when shooting at them, bronze console players have better aim than this. You can't honestly tell me this person is trying their best and yet they have the audacity to blame their teammates.
Awareness wise, definitely bronze for now. But can improve
This guy is NOT getting held back.
At times he's even holding his team back.
1. He plays Bap like he was briggite.
2. If he's going to focus that much on shooting even when his allies are critical, then why not just play dps?
This is one of the worst kinds of players. Bad, overconfident and blames the team. Nailed the trifecta.
Dude should be lower than bronze
Anybody in this chat knows someone who boosters accounts. I entirely dont belong in the rank that I belong in, I just needed rank backup to Platinum. None of these streamers know the struggle in these low ranks.
This vod specifically the player should blame himself he made alot of poor decisions, but you should never rule out teammate's mistakes.
dude needs to change his sensitivity or hit the target practice, they overshoot turning and miss almost everytime. healing and damage
I'm at 1:18 and I already believe this bap should be bronze 5
Yeah his positioning and timing are poor sometimes, but he definitely deserve a gold 3. Like gold players are not that good either.
Loses to visor cuz of not lampimg but sure it was his teammates lmao
ok he could probably make it to low silver possibly but how is he getting to gold?
i have to wait for 1:45 seconds to use his exo boosts and use his right click yeah buddy you deserve bronze
Is this console?
Looks like it by the way he turns.
Is this console
no way people arent saying "first" like an 8 year old child
third
First (like an eight and a half year old child)
First
first lol
You call yourself fun Don....
if everygame its your teams fault that you're "hardstuck"i have some news for you about what the 1 consistent thing is
Naaaaah bronze is to high
i do not want this bap in my gold supp games; ill have to do ALL the healing.
this is gonna come off as dickish but bronze, silver, gold and even low/mid plat are pretty much all the same elo with people making the same fundamentals mistakes.
It's crazy to me that you can be obviously the worst player on your team and still blame others
He was very bad but not the worst, the Ana was frontlining the whole game lol.
Pls don‘t play bap if you can‘t aim
Pls
is this satire
Add yet another high ego player thinking they are better than they are. Someone please slap some reality sense in these losers.
How are bronze people real 😂😂
Beyond the positioning, ignoring low health teammates, and random ability usage, many of the bronze vods from this channel have had better aim than this guy. Is he playing with the nintendo switch gyro controls?
Bap carried tbh
(Hot take apparently)
So true bestie
@@RenaBoyAIM9 thx bestie
one of you is clearly the submitter and neither of you were ready for the reality check of honest feedback. why was this vod submitted if you weren't ready for the possibility that your inability to climb is due to your skill level?
Even if we pretend that's true - which I refuse to do - carrying one bronze game isn't a huge accomplishment.
They're in bronze for a reason.
Nah you’re coping 😂that bap was extremely bad, his teammates were doing fine but my god this dude belongs in plastic league
