Pac was everywhere. There was no sound like Pacs when he came out. His sound wasn't a real West coast style(go listen to brotha lynch, c-bo, Snoop etc.. and he didn't have a real east coast sound either. He didn't sound anything like the late 80s early 90's rapper either. Honestly Tupac born in NY, Raised in Maryland and went out to Cali at what 16 or 17. His start in the rap game was in Cali. The knowledge he learned from the rap game came from all over east -west.
Pac was a poet and expressed himself with quite eloquently. He was straightforward and to the point. He didn't write to entertain 1:11 people with fantasies, he wrote with real authentic feelings. Something the rap game is missing and thats why his work will live forever and will always resonate to the world. Dear Mother, Brenda had a baby, I ain't mad at cha, do for love and so on. And even his interviews are legendary , He speaks well , very passionate and straightforward. Pac wasn't trying to be a master manipulator with word- play- schemes or give you fantasy story. Pac was real and he gave you real . Pac had more content in his work and his deliverance is unmatched.
Pac fans can never understand how someone put any artist on top of 2pac, because Pac fans always feel that anyone who don't categorize Pac as the Greatest, that they either never listened to 2pac or have no single knowledge in Music
A musician is a story teller, said stories can be truth or fiction. Like most stories, there are categories. Just like making movies, making one type does not necessarily make you better than some one who does another. What makes you better is how you narrate, deliver , bring your reader or viewer the closest to seeing what you are trying to portray. Because someone decides to make horror movies does not make them less of a director or producer. PAC is good, but in no way can he step to Biggie, when it comes to the art or being a rapper. Forget the things outside of rap, it is a discussion of rapping ability. Narration, flow, cadence, creativity, imagination, ability to switch styles, delivery, etc etc, are the parameters that govern rapping ability . It’s like, let’s use Busta Rhymes and Andre 3000, for example, their style is often funny and light on the ears, but that does not make them less than other rappers, they are actually they are both more gifted rappers than 95% of rappers. PAC may have been poetic, but it does not make him a better rapper, he may have said good stuff, but his delivery was very basic. Too many people confuse external attributes and talents. Both are great nonetheless!
Pac no question is the most influential rapper ever, like if you think of one guy to champion hip-hop culture as a whole, it will be Pac. HOWEVER. In my opinion, I feel that Ready to Die and Life After Death slightly edges out any album Pac made. I just love those albums a whole lot.
Julius Isome I can say out of both discographies, Ready to Die secures the top spot. Then Me Against the World. As far as Life After Death vs All Eyez on Me, it depends on the day. As of this comment, Life After Death is where it's at because the two closing songs Long Kiss and You're Nobody Til Somebody Kills You I feel are a super epic finish compared to Pac's Ain't Hard 2 Find and Heaven Ain't 2 Find, and for me in particular closing out an album strong is a great plus. Both albums have great disc 1 and 2's, but i can safely say imo All Eyez on Me has an overall better disc 1 over 2 while Life after Death has a better balance between both discs.
For me it's sinmple. Life after death. There were alot of great tracks but half of them were skippable. All eyez on me. There was only one track that I didn't like very much the rest was no intros outros. Interludes. Just bomb track after bomb track. If you look at all the stuff that was released by Pac when he was alive and songs that he definitely co-signed on being released. There aren't alot of skippable tracks. I feel like the reason why Pacs music took off and is still highly remembered today is because of his meaningful content which with the exception of a few tracks. Biggie lacked
Good discussion you guys. you all are making a difference by showing the younger culture communication skills and how to dissect a topic on trivial events in human society. Remember there are many facets on discussing relating issues to a person success or downfall. Good job!
Pac was slowly evolving hip hop into a bigger movement than Notorious. B.I.G. conceptually is sound and his flow is polished. like you could straight up tell it was him or somebody spitting bars in the same rhythm with a story telling mechanic. He's more OG style but at its peak. like where Slick Rick was at with story telling. Pac on the other hand was about Gangsta rap and his body of work was more around thug life and street passion. Biggie's only thesis was about
The guy in the raiders hat has it wrong. Saying Pac is fake because Pac was claiming the west coast when he’s really from New York didn’t know why Pac chose to rep the west!! Pac said he loves New York cause he’s from there but to keep it real he chose the west cause that’s where he learned the game from!!
its all good, ppl try to play 2pac until u start playin them tracks and hits.... one after another after another after another. But 4real we gotta stop this 2pac vs Biggie and honor both of them for their gifts and contributions.
Pac ruled on both coasts.. No other rapper done that; and back to back fashion! Pac work ethic made him the Don because he could create in mega fashion. Pac was real and its hard to be real and go against all odds. No body had heart like pac . Nobody would go against the cops or authorities like pac . It wasn't about just making money and rapping about having a good time, it was about how society was and how things affected people. Pac was for the people, he had a message . I would want pac on my side because he was so smart and so articulate he could rap and put stuff in perspective in so many ways that he would draw you and hold your mind. Pac had a message when he first came out ;it was bout the streets and other issues going on in society but people wasn't ready for that , everybody was about having fun and having a good time . Pac was conscious and aware about stuff going on in the community and wanted to share it with the would. He could rap and articulate his thoughts like no other rapper alive today . In court he was a beast -in interviews he was a beast ,when ever he had anything to say he could articulate it and make you think. Pac was so many things that you could not compare him to anybody . He is by his self the goat . The one who had the heart to say what other rapper wished , could say but was scared too. He went after anybody in his way with no fear. That's Pac - THE GOAT
Pac didn't rule no coast. Pac was Suge's puppet. Pac is a mediocre lyricist and is only mention for the drama and controversy in his life. Take away the sexual abuse case, the Quad studio shooting and east/west beef and Pac wouldn't even be mentioned. Pac was more known as an actor prior to that. Unlike BIG and other rappers that made it from their musical talents Pac is more known for his controversy. Plus Pac was fake asf. Never was a thug, gangster or even a street but magically became one overnight. And for all of Pac's rhetoric he never did anything for anybody. Pac talked the talk but never walked the walk
Pac was young and so much before his time. A lot of us were not ready for his genre when he first came out. PAC'S ability to express his emotions in every way, at any time, was why he was able to make so much music. He spoke from the heart, and that's what made him so relatable . There was no scheme play, just a lot of raw emotions, grit, and personality. Pac could be lyrical like Big or Jay but he chose to be himself. It was never about the money or fame it was about the message, his views about the world, and about being real to yourself . His interviews are legendary, and he was only 25 when he died . The man did so much in so little time that he is the real goat. You can't compare him to anybody, and anybody can compare to him. You have to fill a lot of categories and have just as big of a heart. No doubt!!!
There are levels in music and Tupac complete all levels, by putting in hard work, time and love into his songs. That's why he got so much album touching people hearts all over the world upto this day 2018 ! You don't dance to Tupac songs you have a firm meditation, listen, relate and you may find out that you're not alone the struggle is real!!! #KeepYourHeadUp
2pac was overrated he was all hype. Media, beef, movies etc..... 2pacs first 2 albums both went GOLD! His 3rd album sold only 1.5million!!! He didn't start selling big till he joined death row and started beefing with rappers like biggie. Than his 4th album out of nowhere sells 9million. Pac was an amazing artist the best all time
Only dude that knows wat he talking about is homie bulls hat
2PAC > BIGGIE
He'll Razor
Sheds So Many Tears
Me and My Girlfriend
Blasphemy
Pac started rapping in Baltimore fools plus he's more lyrical than biggie plus Pac gave biggie a platform to open up for him at his concert's before biggie was even known
Plus Pac was putting out mixtapes also hold up Pac 1.(good life) 2(made niggaz) 3(happy home) 4(ready 4whateva) 5(outlaw) 6(staight balling/ im getting money) 7(black jesus) 8(so many tears) 9(smile for me) 10(tatto tears) so many materials from Pac u would be shock what you would run into no lie for as being lyrical and jus spitting he can do that too vote for Pac
Pac was not more lyrical than BIG. And Pac was doing small venues.
@@bishopshakur2184 WTF are you talking about. Pac was not putting out mixtapes
bro get yo hating ass out of here 😂😂 Pac knew his time was limited so all the songs he wrote, he didn’t put too much time on them like big and every other rapper 🤦🏽♂️ people need to learn how to keep it 🤫 and do their research before speaking
@@DiegoGonzalez-gy8hd Who are you talking too?
They should've read that 3rd verse to "Blasphemy"...it would've put an end to all discussion
" should we cry when the pope die, my request, we should cry if they cried, when we buried Malcolm x"! Real deep!
@@kevinsutherland6388💯
Pac's earlier simple sounding music would have destroyed most Biggie songs lyrically, if you just reading the words without a beat.
@lroyjetsonson5060 indeed. That's how I got into pac, reading his lyrics in middle school. I can't be swayed. To me, lyricism is more about what you say vs how you say it.
@@MYSTERIOUSasLOVE The problem is as Black Americans we use words that we don't know the actual meaning of. If you Google the Oxford or Merriam Websters definition of lyricism, The only rappers who fit the definition our 2Pac,Scarface,DMX,Beans and Lauren Hill honestly.
I love Biggie but 2pac is the greatest! Most perfect rap artist of all time!!
Pac was more real
I wish I was in that room so I can shut all all yall down.
2Pac way better

Biggie didnt put out enough work to be a great.
2pac cause he more dimensional in terms of range, emotio, he can man make u angry, sad, playful, reflective, politically charged etc. And he gotta a vey unique voice and charisma
2pac 4 life moline times
2 pac is better you just got to feel it to believe it
biggies most touching songs, everyday struggle and sky's the limit.
maybe u should go listen to dear mama and changes or Brenda's got a baby then u will decide how went to struggles
@@redietteshome1793 Rapping about struggles does not make you a better rapper.
@@fruitpac it's just people showing their bias biggie's raps were more skilled and made you think damn this dude's a fucking genious. tupac's songs were just trendy that's all
They got different styles but 2pac speaked about real shit an biggie was juz as crazy wit the lyrical shit..so u can't compare the two....like Jada an styles or Max or Phat Monc....#loudbanggmusic
Loud Bangg I Feel You
Real shit
Loud Bangg y'all got punch lines and being lyrical all fuck up it's not the same at all
@@EpikLyfestyle mase was taking biggie throne till he left music and started preaching
Pac was the realness
Biggie’s voice ... confident smooth control. Not forced.... natural boss flow. Definitely “Jordaness”
He sounded more like Ice Cube who used NY producers and was conscious.
Pac was a poet and expressed himself with quite eloquently. He was straightforward and to the point. He didn't write to entertain
1:11 people with fantasies, he wrote with real authentic feelings.
PAC os Better no dout! Saludos from Sorocaba Brasil
biggie is good, but 2pac is the best...
Pac fans can never understand how someone put any artist on top of 2pac, because Pac fans always feel that anyone who don't categorize Pac as the Greatest, that they either never listened to 2pac or have no single knowledge in Music
Because the more Pac you listen to the more you realize that no one else under 26 is close. The only competition is artists with 20+ year careers.
PAC was teacher Biggie the student
2 great black brothers made a difference. Both had there place in time.
Facts
Well I don't really base my favorite albums on record sales and chart positions lol but yeah it is quite impressive Pac had those no. 1 records
@Vanderstein950 Any album with the line "She looks so good that I'll suck on her daddy ...." could never be better than Me against the World. 😂😂😂😂
Pac=political B.I.G=materialistic
Therefore u can't compare the 2 since they rapped about different things
Biggie was great but just Pac is the greatest. No doubt about it, Pac did way more than Biggie. Pac was just special in so many ways.
You can tell that these youngns neva heard 2pacs music. Really heard
TUPAC SHAKUR hands down is the GOAT
2PAC'S MUSIC MOVES MY SOUL! I'M NUMB TO THE REST OF THESE HIP HOP ARTISTS WHO MAKE SONGS. 💯
Biggie easily
Good discussion you guys. you all are making a difference by showing the younger culture communication skills and how to dissect a topic on trivial events in human society. Remember there are many facets on discussing relating issues to a person success or downfall. Good job!
Biggie all day every day it's not even a contest
Pac was slowly evolving hip hop into a bigger movement than Notorious. B.I.G. conceptually is sound and his flow is polished. like you could straight up tell it was him or somebody spitting bars in the same rhythm with a story telling mechanic. He's more OG style but at its peak. like where Slick Rick was at with story telling. Pac on the other hand was about Gangsta rap and his body of work was more around thug life and street passion. Biggie's only thesis was about
Pac better came like Malcolm x n Martin Luther King movement threw music hit your soul in biggie hit your head because punched line
2Pac
Pac was east coast Pac was west coast
Pac doesn’t need to sound east coast he is international
Pac makaveli til i die
Tupac ain't fell off in 30 years and he has no gay references in his music, only powerful and uplifting messages.
Dear moma and Hitem up will play forever, forever!
Pac is better
The guy in the raiders hat has it wrong. Saying Pac is fake because Pac was claiming the west coast when he’s really from New York didn’t know why Pac chose to rep the west!! Pac said he loves New York cause he’s from there but to keep it real he chose the west cause that’s where he learned the game from!!
its all good, ppl try to play 2pac until u start playin them tracks and hits.... one after another after another after another. But 4real we gotta stop this 2pac vs Biggie and honor both of them for their gifts and contributions.
Yoooo where's part 2 my brothers???? Almost a good year now fam.
No doubt!!!
@@fruitpacHater talk 😂
I'm learning english with this kind of videos xdd Tupac is the goat.(i from spain)
Biggie rapped that gangster shit
Tupac lived it
There are levels in music and Tupac complete all levels, by putting in hard work, time and love into his songs.
So just 1 year after his 3rd album sells 1.5million. His 4th album magically sells 9million. 2pac was overrated!!!!!!!!! He was all hype. Also he was a Studio Gangsta. He was from new york. He was a back up dancer. Went to acting school. He lied in 90% of his rhymes.
+raiders7528 all the sell are wrong
+KENNY KROSS All my sales stats are correct. I can even throw in the amount awards each artist won. Tupac won a total of only 3 U.S Music awards while alive. In his 6 year rapping career. Biggie won over 10 in his short 3year career.

Here is the link below showing that Biggie won over 10 awards. Also pictures of him accepting them. The last one is Biggie mother on stage accepting the award after he died.

Bruh Pac didnt have access to the best producers when he broke out . Biggy had industry leading producers with him . The music was sonically different from 91 to 95 so music had somewhat moved on from the early influences
I don't see how that Biggie verse was shit. Y'all just said it in a monotone voice to downplay the level of creativity in the verse. Mad punchlines and wordplay in that verse.
Biggie
The debate was done whn u read blasphemy lyrics
Who is the best pac is best

There is no debate Biggie is nowhere near Pacs level. It's not even close.
