i bought a cheap rx 6800 during summer for Wilds. hope i won't be obsolete in february. tho i'm really considering upgrading my cpu, from a 5600 to a 5700x3d as it also one of the cheapest really good option.
4:52 just keep making valstrax thumbnails, that was the only video I got from the algorithm, and made me watch all your videos. Cheers for valstrax on wilds!(I'm not obsessed you're obsessed)
@cablefeed3738 I can't go at length here but you have to analyze valstrax more, it's one of the very few large monster that has a very good explanation to everything he can do or do you think a teostra is gonna be able fly with those flimsy bat wings?, he's not even the first "metallic dragon" and it's the only monster to my knowledge to have a drawback to it's own power, there is a lot more I can say to defend my beloved but this already a text wall, happy hunting my friend
The Sunbreak demo is still available for download, at least on PC. That's what made me hope for a Wilds demo, but yeah, if it'd require them to take away time and resources we might as well tough it out and wait for the full release.
I've been keeping an eye on my subscriber count for years ever since the first rumblings of people being forcefully unsubscribed without notice and have never had that happen, even with channels that have not uploaded for years and channels that I have not looked at a video for in a long time. Is it actually a thing or do people just think they're subscribed but aren't and were just always catching videos from their home page?
The only times I've heard of it happening is with newly created channels who gain alot of subs quickly. Outside of that the only times RUclips will unsubscribe someone is if they have an inactive account.
I haven’t noticed if I’ve been unsubbed from channels, but I have been subscribed to certain channels without ever clicking to subscribe to them. I’ve watched like two videos from a channel here or there and get subbed to them for some reason sometimes.
I kept getting unsubscribed from different channels, my comments didn't show up (even on this channnel), etc. until I bought YT Premium. Suddenly, all the problems magically vanished 😂
2:12:00 it sounds like gaijin would enjoy wuthering waves! i keep telling them in their feedback that a monster hunter crossover or even their own monhun mode would fit their game and world perfectly!
I know that back in mhfu Guard was absolutely an offensive skill. You could block for example, the khezu aoe and then be able to attack quite a few times while its using said Aoe, giving you more chances to attack than you otherwise would have.
59:21 This depends on the endgame content of Wilds and its Master Rank. If breaking heads is a hard requirement, or something that is "practically" a requirement when it comes to fighting endgame monsters, HARD DISAGREE on removing Flinch Free entirely. I tried running an SnS build without flinch free on Alatreon, and whenever it was downed, I can't get a single hit in because the dual blades players kept flinching me. Unless the dev team balanced a single Hammer to be able to break heads very easily even in a 4 player hunt. I'm all for knowing where to attack with your weapon type. I always aim for the tail whenever I played Longsword, even when it's already cut of. But if the game itself told you to aim for a single spot, Flinch Free becomes a requirement.
you could fast travel just fine during inclemency the reason why it was not giving you the option. is because the tent and the pop up camp cat icons were both on top of each other and you were highlighting the cat.
As a greatsword main, hyper armor on tackle is the most fun part of the weapon. Many weapons now have a offset attack on demand, which all have hyper armor. The idea of trying to time the TTS on the 2nd down swing sounds really fun. I already time hyper armor attacks all the time and its the most fun part of the weapon.
“You can’t give me back something you took away and call it a buff” Gaijin saying what (virtually) all IG mains are thinking. Now we just need balanced bug back and we’ll have all of our stuff back
Awesome podcast as always guys. Btw why does it take so long to upload the episodes to Apple Podcast? It’s been two days since this video was released and it’s still not on Apple Podcast.
Glad you guys talked about wanting to goof around launching people after hunts. I always assumed people were annoyed with my weapon poses (to get a cool ending screen) and rage launching me.
Insect glaive literally has Nero Mechanics, where you had 6 buttons to hold down at the same time and release them when needed, it’s weird, but once you get it, it’s incredibly easy and satisfying. So I’m not that disappointed in the weapon, since I think it adds depth to playing it, if that makes sense.
On the topic of positioning: I wish weak points were more impactful. Blunt weapons significantly more damage on the head, blades tail and legs, pierce wings and chest. Make it so everyone doesn't want the head.
in regards to equal Dragon Weapon, I do think the idea straight up would be dumb, but... maybe something like they attempted to create it and failed, and a monster puppets the thing like Ahtal-Ka does? That could be really neat.
Yes it was but, around that point, everything in Frontier was AOE spam and broken. So, if you dared use anything but magnet spike, you better be using extreme style (so you sprint mid charging GS etc.) or had a certain set of Frontier's mitigation skills. That or you were fucked. It was a poorly executed MMO by the end. If you think main line has balancing issues, oh my sweet summer child.
@@TornaitSuperBird Exactly, that's why the main Monster Hunter team should never do that. Unless there's a massive culture shift, they won't because they like resetting things. That way, the weaker/more personality filled monsters aren't forgotten as easily.
I feel like nobody is talking about this in regards to the friendly fire, but they showed one move, on a hunter that was standing still with their weapon sheathed. That was just a dumb choice. The effects are going to be different based on what weapon, which move, and also based on what the other hunter is doing. Maybe the hammer upswing won't be able to flinch someone who has their weapon drawn while in the middle of a combo.
About the híper armor, I think that’s probably to avoid changing some things about the weapon. Long sword if you get hit mid attack the attack doesn’t land and you lose the red bar, so probably it is a little more complicated to change it to not lose it so the híper armor is a quick fix, maybe is the same for switch axe probably it loses the sword charge if you get hit and the attack doesn’t land. Thinking this as an non intentional inconvenience maybe is easier to put hipper armor than to change the weapon code
There are 2 things that no one seems to be talking about with Insect Glaive, and those are 1. Canceling out of the charge attack once you have it held down. I could have just missed it or it's a mechanic from another weapon but I could not cancel out of it no matter what I did and I need my thumb to do literally anything else. So if you wiff on the charged attacked you better hope you don't get caught in that animation. That's the number 1 way I carted from Rey Dau. 2. These changes basically mean Power Prolonger is worthless on the IG because you are trying to spend your buffs as soon as you collect them for maximum damage output. There is no benefit in just sitting on the triple buff now.
Yes even with the changes announced I still think the weapon is going to feel very different. The simple fact that it has a charged attack shows me it’s meant to be a different weapon. I don’t think that insect glaive is meant for a game with a mechanic like focus mode. It just does make sense for the weapon at all, angling camera, attacks, leading the monster, and charged attack just is too drastic for me. I’ll be maining my former first love of hunting horn this time. Sorry glaive~
Guys i am confused and new to Monster Hunter. What is the end game of monster hunter other than finding RNG decorations? Is their insentive to play the game after you complete it?
@666slateran666 I need an analogy, for example Genshin Impact you grind artifact for stats when your done you go to Spiral Abyss to 36 star so you can get the resources for wishes. What would MH equivalent be?
@@iflgames3245It honestly depends on you. Each weapon plays differently and changes the experience. You could beat the game with one weapon and go back and do those quests with another. There are also event quests that can be very challenging even with end-game equipment. It’s just fun meeting different people and fighting different monsters together.
Fashion Hunter is endgame for many. Or completing awards like crowns. Or just playing with friends. There are people with thousands of hours in MH who keep playing just because they're having fun. I think we forget that games should be fun and not feel like a job.
About sarcasm : I used to understand it perfectly, but I have this feeling that now people don't put the tone of sarcasm, like the intonation really doesn't show it... Idk i get confused a lot with sarcasm now when before I didn't have issues With it As for the format, I liked this chiller interview format, it felt like a Warframe devstream and Warframe does the BEST devstreams
I don't think it's "sarcasm" as much as it's "satire" that people don't get anymore. And if you have to explain satire to someone, there really isn't much point.
I think we can see those super dodges in a system in level with the perfect block and offset, so really the weapons that had nothing would be the old new IG and Light Bowgun
The whole friendly fire thing is the one thing that bothers me. Whenever i play hammer, it'd be fun to launch people after the quest was finished, they hit me back, but getting interrupted by longswords while im trying to hit the monsters head during hunts was so annoying. Now i get to keep being interrupted, and i dont get to have friendly fun after the quest is done
I loved to watch gaijin’s remix of the welcome to monster hunter video cause when I watched it for the first time I immediately felt like it was guild’s propaganda, every chosen words leads to this direction, the guild’s definitely shady and I hope we learn more about all the stuff going on (but I don’t want to know everything ofc, just like the end of iceborne it was perfect, the whole documentation being burned for an organization whose role is too document every creature in the world, it’s the perfect way to hint that there are some mysterious things going on here) Just the perfect way to bring some conspiracies aspect to the lore
i love you guys but you focus on hate comment waayyy too much and its affecting the conversation, even right now there is around 100 comment 98% of them are positive yet ruri and gaijin ONLY reply is to the comment who hates on them. i get that the internet is full of hate lately but man this is too much
I actually modded paddles onto my controller specifically for IG😂 I will say I think this is the best version the glaive has ever been. But with a bad controller mapping
46:47 I hope this means there'll be SOME performance improvement for Steam Deck, cuz assuming I don't manage to get the money for a Wilds capable PC at launch in two-ish months, that's probably what I'm gonna be playing on🫠
Merry Christmas In the case of the friendly fire situation, it should be a choice for the player instead of devs deciding how it's handled The best solution in my opinion is to have an option/switch in the settings or hub settings for friendly fire launching
As someone that also hated UE5, Infinity Nikki definitely changed my mind about it somewhat, turns out it can be optimised even with stuff like raytracing implemented, and it doesn't look blurry from upscaling to do it. I guess they must of spent ages optimising the hell out of it to make it compatible with mobile too. Makes me wonder about all these other ue5 games struggling to implement fixes. What are they doing different?
I can see someone doing the Monty Python Life of Brian scene. Have 1 hunter that's obviously a normal dude and 3 more that are bearded ladies preparing the stone a poor herbivore. "Are there any women here today?" We have stones, for the slinger, not sure if they still do 1 damage or maybe it's 2 now. On the mindless "crowd the head until it dies" thing: Whenever I told my friend, who started with Rise, that hunters use to cut tails in World he didn't believe me. He did not believe that cutting a tail or getting other part breaks was way more common in World because it almost never happened in Rise.
I have a hard time believing we aren't getting a second beta with Arkveld. Literally, every single beta/demo since GU (and maybe even before that) had a second version with the flagship.
MERRY CHIRSTMAS!!, now about the whole armor problem that gaijin brought up does not apply to me as in making all the armors anyway so I'm good. also criteye being 5 ranks would probly be 5%/10%/20%/30%/45% per rank with is the same as before (I'm just going by memory)
Theres something super ironic about Gaijin complaining about Ps plus and not having early access with unknowingly paying for it and not playing early lmao. Also its hilarious that hes coping comparing PoE2 with a very fair F2P system to a gacha game lmao
It's so funny seeing you talk about gacha games when you don't know how these games have changed nowadays. Especially how gaijin is trying really hard to say that Infinity Nikki is a gacha game but not reaaally because this and that ahah. I would love to give you some insight if given the opportunity. I played a good amount of them and the landscape has massively changed. I understand why though, it's an extremely specific genre, but it also provides things that no other games can (the reverse is also true). I'm sure you would be suprised by how cool some characters can be or by the combat of lets say, PGR or Wuwa for example, Ruri. Anyway thanks for the podcast it was a fun one. Gaijin really needs to ac 2:55:38 I think they're already on thin ice with Wilds, the game is changing too much to the point it already lost core principles. The way they're going with Wilds is making me doubt for how long I'm gonna keep enjoying MH if it keeps getting dilluted into a regular action game.
People in the comments spouting nonsense about Infinity Nikki. If you actually gave the Game a try you'd understand that it's not "Slop". The Gacha Aspect being the core of everyone's contempt is funny to me since the Game literally SHOWERS you with Diamonds for doing basically anything: opening Chests, doing Quests, completing Objectives etc. If you feel the need to spend money on it, then you are either mega impatient or you want a store exclusive Outfit. I personally didn't spend a single cent on it. And comparing it to Genshin or Star Rail is dumb. In those two Games you draw Characters with unique Abilities that completely change how you play the Game. In Nikki you get every Single Ability by just playing through the Mainquest. What you draw in the Gacha are potential Skins that you can put over the Original Ability Outfit and also besides that, have their own stats in certain Styling Types but you get no new Abilities besides being able to do "graffities" wich only look pretty.
Weapon balancing is important and nerfs are good. I don't want to play overpowered weapons. Also your opinion about skills is a bit weird. I think Sunbreak overdid it, with how many skills you could get, but base Rise was completely fine, so was World and Iceborne. Also, removing all the basic math skills would suck hard, because it would end in only gimmick builds. Gimmick builds can be fun, but they shouldn't be the norm.
Thanks!
Thank you so much!

Wtf i really thought gaijin had stopped making vídeos... Damn you RUclips!!
Gaijin needs to play Wuthering Waves
I have a hard time believing we aren't getting a second beta with Arkveld. Literally, every single beta/demo since GU (and maybe even before that) had a second version with the flagship.
walmart buffs says gaijin. As he describes every gunlance Grank buff in a nutshell.
Wyvernfire should be an offset attack. There, I said it.
Had no idea gaijin was doing videos haven't seen it on RUclips
Cherry Histmas Munters
Gaijin really needs to ac
2:55:38 I think they're already on thin ice with Wilds, the game is changing too much to the point it already lost core principles. The way they're going with Wilds is making me doubt for how long I'm gonna keep enjoying MH if it keeps getting dilluted into a regular action game.
Ruri I hate to break it to you but people have found a way to mathematically calculate up time
People in the comments spouting nonsense about Infinity Nikki.
Walmart buffs needs to become a thing. It’s accurate.
