I saw it, I was not planning on buying a fountain pen, let alone a Montblanc but I could not resist. I love the way it feels in my hand, the weight and size are just perfect, the nib is as usual excellent. Overpriced, not really needed for anything but a cherished treasure is how I described it to my son. Great review as always! 🙏🏽

I’m on the fence about this one. I really like the design, but it’s really showy and would stick out if I took it somewhere like work. I bought the Conan Doyle and absolutely love it. It’s (comparatively) subtle enough that I do take it to work. Also, I don’t know if I really want to get into the habit of buying writer’s editions, financially speaking. Super tempting, although I might go for the Glacier Legrand instead.
What would you say made you not like the pen? I have just purchased one and I only had 10 minutes with the pen as I have send it off for a Bespoke nibs. This would be my second bespoke nib my first was a 0.9mm italic and I am going to get a 1.2mm italic made for this. All my Montblancs seem to have metal sections so I am kind of used to it. The downside to this pen for me it’s lacks colour. But the design is cool and different (hence why I brought it).
So difficult to like it, although I appreciate it not being as overdone as other models. But it keeps me reminding of a certain male bodypart with veins on it 🫣… I hope I don’t offend anyone or withhold someone for purchasing because of unwanted associations, but I just can’t help myself 🤷♀️
