OpenAI ChatGPT earned headlines recently for its mind-blowing ability to generate human-like responses to a wide range of queries. AI researchers speculate that it could revolutionize entire industries and has the potential to challenge Google search engine. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman tweeted that ChatGPT is going to get a lot better, less annoying, and more useful fast, but the arrival of Artificial General Intelligence AGI will completely dwarf it. There will be scary moments as we move towards AGI-level systems, and significant disruptions, but the upsides can be so amazing that it’s well worth overcoming the great challenges to get there. And we’ll see great benefits all along the way - they will make ChatGPT look like a boring toy.
Focus on improving lives not maximizing profits and yes.

If you think that AGI wont be consolidated at the top then your wrong, you will not be enjoying it, the only consequence will be that you have no job or money
AGI just tools, it depend who own the tool and have control on it
