I went over 10 yrs ago. This brought back so many memories. I definitely need to return. Switzerland is beautiful it's like a place out of a fairytale book.
The first 'real' mountains I ever saw were the Swiss Alps. I'm a Missouri boy, & we call the Ozark foothills 'mountains'. 😂 When I was stationed in Germany 50+ years ago, I went to Switzerland with some buddies for a long weekend. I'll never forget how stunned I was when I got my first glimpse of those towering, snow covered peaks... I first thought they were clouds... through the glass topped bus. We later took the cable cars to the top of Mt. Pilatus where we posed for pics with 9 ft!! of snow behind us. That night we passed out from too much 12% beer the locals bought us & slept it off on a 650!! yr old covered bridge in Lucerne. Those were the days. Craig, Gene, Sonny...wherever you are.... Cheers, boys!🍻
Yep. Warm & safe & dry back here in MO. Married to the girl of my dreams for over 47 yrs now. 2 'children' that have given us 5 granduns, all healthy, happy & chasing their own dreams now. We are blessed beyond what we ever imagined. Hope you are too...
Switzerland is so beautiful. If it were possible , I would only imagine what heaven will be like. The Bible says it's not even entered into the heart of man what God has in store for those who love Him.
Well that’s sucks that the people are so rude and hateful but they nazi sympathizers and they stayed neutral but they favored the Germans more and a lot them caught for the reich, which I get because they’re closer to them and have always been allies
😂 ca. 99% of swiss people don’t live in these areas. They work im cities. The weather is often bad (rain, fog, high-fog, clouds). You have to choose the right season and time to get these shots (And the colors looking also polished in these shots..). But yes, there are beautiful places like in other countries too
Lucky you so beautiful I’ve always wanted to go to Switzerland 🇨🇭 since a child. The movie Heidi was my favorite movie . You have a beautiful country and it looks so clean and fresh. Take care God Bless You 🇺🇸
About the STATUE beneath the lake: The following is written on a plaque on the bridge, above the statue at the "Blausee" (blue lake); it was carved by sculptor Raphael Fuchs, in memory of a young girl who was found dead there, many years ago. This was the place she spent many romantic hours with her lover. After his sudden death, which she couldn't cope with, she returned to Blue Lake every night, until eventually, she died there of grief. They say the blueness of the lake was caused by her tears. (Don't know if it's true, but it makes for a good tourist attraction.)
I asked a good friend of mine who is Swiss why Switzerland is so surreally looking. He said in a dark comforting voice: "You know that there have not been any wars in Switzerland for more than 200 years!!"
That doesn't mean anything really though. Like Australia hasn't had any wars on it's soil for about 200 years and that place is mostly desert. When was there a war fought on Antarctica and that place is just snow, ice and penguins.
they need to make condoms free, we're overpopulating to the point that the world's burning, don't need so many people if there's not much stupidity (wars) going on or having 300+ families with the same surname
They literally are, idk if its Switzerland air. But there is a couple guys bottling some kind of "fresh mountain air" and selling it for like $50 a can that's got all of like 10 "breathes"
Probably because Swiss people care very much about their nature in the areas around them so much so to the point where they literally have laws against littering to the point where it can end you in prison lol which in my opinion is very well deserved because the world should look like Switzerland , in the sense that it's clean beautiful and very natural even with our modern elements, to anybody who is from Switzerland Sweden Germany and other European countries that do the best they can to take care of their areas around them, I respect the hell out of all of you, thank you for caring for the planet especially since I live in America and most of us literally throw our trash from the inside of our cars/houses etc or on the floor ... Hope anybody reading this has a good day good luck to all and may you all find peace in your domains
lol this isnt about that. its literally about the topography of the place. its unreal. they have many trashless places that dont compare to switzerland
Too bad places like these are being overrun with “refugees” that rape and pillage and liter all over without a care. It doesn’t take many of them to make an absolutely beautiful place like this and others in Europe very ugly.
@@doggmansnapperdude3405 1.what refugees are you talking about , to I don't think any of them are raping and pillaging City since pillaging has not happened since the eleventh century unless you count what Russia is doing to Ukraine as pillaging. the litter is coming from tourism and specifically tourists from America and similar countries , so I got a question what are your sources because I'm genuinely curious 🧐 lol

I work 60+ hours a week just to support my 3 kids whom I barely see because of how much I work. One day, I hope things will be better
As a European, tbh learning how it works in the US over the years, I think it's unlikely to get better. It would need a revolution, and one to the left at that, and I don't mean Communism, just better social standards. You'd probably achieve this dream if you'd able to move elsewehere outside the US. It still blows my mind how US citizens have to work so many hours or multiple jobs to just get by, don't have health care or pay so much for it, hardly days off, unions fighting for better worker circumstances basically criminalized, education costs so high, etc. I know it's hard to leave ones country and home, but I understand why nearly all the US students I met in Germany over the years didn't want to return, not even the ones from Cali. Damn, you all deserve SO MUCH better!!!

The first 'real' mountains I ever saw were the Swiss Alps.
I'm a Missouri boy, & we call the Ozark foothills 'mountains'. 😂
When I was stationed in Germany 50+ years ago, I went to Switzerland with some buddies for a long weekend.

That doesn't mean anything really though. Like Australia hasn't had any wars on it's soil for about 200 years and that place is mostly desert.

Sending hugs and encouragement your way. It will get better, just stay the course.
