- This one took a lot of research. Imagine if I had put the effort into something that actually matters? In all seriousness, I hope this helps people that want to know more about these places.

Champions hired me onto their maintenance crew in 1996. That was my first paying job. Cut the grass. Blow off the minigolf course. Run the steel reinforced caged golf cart on the range to pick up all the balls. Joy Rides was fantastic!
Thanks so much for sharing! That's awesome. I definitely miss all these places. It's a shame that there isn't more visual documentation of them.
Man, this was an epic trip down memory lane. Sad to think all these great places were forgotten by history simply because they predated the internet. Thanks for putting this together.
I was thinking about it and there was probably a time I visited all these places without realizing it would be the last time. Thanks so much for taking the time to watch!
The building for one of the go kart tracks is still standing by the Farm Credit building that now stands where the track used to be.
Really? I gotta go take a look around over there!
I was thinking about Joy Rides recently, but couldn't remember the name. That's definitely the one I went to the most growing up.
The other out-of-business attraction I miss is the tiny mini golf course off Manitou Ave.
You know, I never actually went to the Manitou one, just passed by. Do you happen to know what it was called? Maybe I should do one about that place.
Thanks for stopping by and checking out the video!
Guys my park is totally fricking safe I promise. But I mean either way, you can't have fun without a LITTLE risk!!
I worked at a brand new Chuck E Cheese back in the day as the sole technician. Between the video games and animatronics I was kept very busy. Once, when i wasn't there, "Elvis's" head came off mid-song. It was not a fun place to work. At the time, it was the worst pizza I had ever tasted. That restaurant lasted three years. I only lasted one.
Best of luck on your channel, you deserve more subscribers than you have.
Wow! Where was it located? That does sound like a nightmare.
Thank you so much for your kind words! If I did this for the views, I would have given up by now, haha. But it's my passion either way. Thank you for watching!
It was in a then small town area of western Washington state. It wasn't a nightmare, but wasn't fun. I was questioned by the fire martial the second week because I didn't evacuate the building when one of the arcade machines started smoking. I knew it was just a melting transformer when I smelled the smoke so I unplugged the machine and opened the back and front doors of the restaurant for quick ventilation. I didn't want to get families panicking over basically nothing since it so packed. One of the highlights of my career! I look forward to seeing more of your videos.@@ians-ideas
I really appreciate it! We've got some fun stuff planned for 2024.
