Well whether you think his brand is luxury or not, Michael Kors is a billionaire and his company owns Jimmy Choo and Versace. As long as you like his bags, who cares if they're considered "luxury."

Exactly, they have the same leather as Prada saffiano leather but because it doesn't have some big brand name on it. Surely luxury should be about material.

If people are trying to make a cheaper, lower quality, knock off version of an MK bag, or belt. Then it’s luxury. Periodt.

Yes, MK flagstore prices are at Coach and some LV prices. MK is smart to create different lines for all level of people. If my man gave me a $400 bag ... I would be thankful! Y'all must be rich to be stuck up.

so Hernes brand even more expensive than LV so everyone has its own budget. It if looks ugly like Versace is not worth for me so it might be luxury but ugly. Fashion and what you wear in public is different.

My sibling brought up a good point, she was like I love luxury items but, I would never spend so much on something I would use often because I would be more concerned about keeping it looking fresh then actually enjoying my purchase. Point: buy what makes you feel luxurious, if comfort is luxury to you, then comfort is luxury!

Kors offers goods to every type of consumer. Which is definitely a good strategy. Being a luxury brand doesn't necessarily get you profit. Make no mistake, Kors offers products that costs thousands of dollars as well.

They literally contradicted themselves. Luxury is something that is not accessible to everyone and Michael Kors has made themselves accesible to everyone, therefore; is NOT a LUXURY brand.

    • @elbeandini4605

Still has luxury crafted items, like they said they widen their variety of items at different price points and quality materials so it’s obtainable and more accessible from different demographics around the world, he can also get more shares as it is a smart move, Michael by MK isnt luxury but still pricey and Michael Kors is 1000000% luxury, nonetheless I can guarantee you if you feel like your man should spend 2000 dollars on a bag that would serve no purpose but to show off and hold your wallet doing the exact same thing something from Ross can do, you are surely delusional. I can guarantee you wouldn’t spend that much on a bi fold wallet for your mans or anything, you aren’t entitled to “luxury”

For your information Michael Kors lost validation or got a bad reputation because they discounted prices and had sales over the years. As the sales went on people started seeing Michael Kors as a cheap luxury brand because of the price points and not really focused on the quality on what they offered. Yes some of the products are not 100% quality high end but its an upgrade towards your basic purse etc.. that's about it. I mean, that's how people described it because it's in cheaper in stores and whatnot, but honestly, like I've owned Michael Kors stuff before. I have had no complaints. I can vouch for a MK saying that it's a pretty good brand, and I have had no issues with them since.

MK isn’t a luxury brand, it’s premium brand!
MK, Hugo boss, Calvin Klein, AX etc are just premium brands for me.
Meanwhile GUCCI, DIOR, PRADA, LV, CHANEL, VERSACE, GA, BALMAIN etc are luxury brands for me

  • @ruzzelladrian907

It’s a designer brand. Not luxury. In my opinion.
But luxury is more perception and it cannot he quantified. The perception of Michael Kors is unfortunately low end, because the market is dominated by the outlet versions of Michael Kors products. Meanwhile if you shop the retail stores of Michael Kors either in their dedicated shops or at Macy’s, the experience and products are so different from outlet. Michael Kors could turn around their strategy by closing their outlets and exclusively sell retail products, sort of like Coach where they limited their outlet products and increased the quality of their retail offers - they didn’t entirely closed all outlets, they just sell less. Gucci and Louis Vuitton are highly perceived as luxury because they try to create a false sense of rarity by burning their excess inventory and also not selling outlet versions of their products. It’s a way for them to keep up their image. Also, they build upon that brand cache by selling super high end products while at the same time semi-expensive products under $2000. The Neverful bag only costs $150 to make but they sell it at such a high markup, that’s the power brand image.

I have both but I tend to like Michael Kors more.. I love his designs, the quality.. LV and some of the others just do the minimum in trying to impress most times. You pay for the prestige and hell I’m half scared to even use them. You become a target and then what if someone actually steals the bag, what if you get beat up for that owe silly bag. It’s just not always worth the stress for me.
