I have both Coach and Michael KORS, however, am no longer purchasing anymore KORS. They simply are not the high quality I get from Coach. Coach wins hands down in quality!

*I LOVE COACH -- now & always. I have Coach items from the 1960's even -- and they have all stood the test-of-time superbly...there is nothing like FINE COACH LEATHER -- Period.*

To be honest, coach proves how overpriced other leathergood brands are... I have bags and shoes from coach, Gucci, Vuitton and others, and when I look at the craftsmanship... (stitching, durability, and ability to last over time), coach sits right up there!!!
People who are paying more for higher ends are paying for he name.... because Coach is true quality!!!

well michael kors has announced theyre closing 100-125 full priced boutiques due to struggling sales and not being able to sell their bags at full price. Michael Kors' stock market value is now less than half of Coach's.

There are definitely tacky looking Coach bags as well. Both brands copy each other. Including the tacky designs. (in particular the trend towards plastering tons of appliques all over a bag, like something a five year old would do if you let them loose on a handbag. Both brands do it.) Then the Coach bags that have "C's" covering the entire thing, to the point of distraction. Really tacky.

@@CarissaConti you could say the exact same thing about Gucci and its looking interlocked G's along with Louis Vuitton's monogram LVs that have always looked tacky. They all have the same business model to appeal to those customers who want to show off labels as a status symbol. Let's not pretend that none of the high-end brands use this tactic to catch that particular market. Super tacky.

I have both coach and mk. I find them on a par with each other. I think when coach use the brass hardware it steps up the quality. One of my coach bags outdoes the mk with its soft leather and brass hardware though

Ha the irony now. Coach bought MK because they were doing so bad and got Versace in the deal.
