I’m proud to be a current member of the Fron Male Voice Choir (Côr Meibion Froncysyllte), the local Welsh male voice choir who hosted Società Corale Gioachino Rossini in 1955 for the Llangollen International Eisteddfod. They won first prize that year and that win inspired one young member to become a professional singer. His name? Luciano Pavarotti.
